Casa Del Sol

Service seemed slow for a Sat night. Table side guacamole very good but enchiladas were sub par. Presentation of enchilada didn’t even look like them. Sangria good. Ordered the Mexican street corn but wasn’t very good. Not sure why mayo and corn on a cob is considered Mexican. Beautiful décor

I’ve been coming here for a long time with a good friend of mine and we call this place «our place». It’s got a great atmosphere, great service, food, & drinks. I never had a bad time here. Plus personally I love the comfortableness about it. Whether I just got out of work or am there on a date, I never felt rushed or unwanted here. We originally would go for drinks which are great by the way, I love all the bartenders there. They make me feel special as they never have me wait extra long and not over ask if I need another, they just aim to please. The food has improved so much I noticed. I’m a picky person too, last Saturday I had the skirt steak and it was 9 out of 10 for me. Great flavor and texturize on the steak, potatoes & zucchini cook and seasoned perfectly, I was just so please since I worked all day and was starving, the last thing someone wants is a poor dinner and that was the opposite in this case. They have great events such as live music, different kinds of bands, depending on the time of years each time it’s different but all good the same. I really come back for the people whose been working there for a while, they truly care about their costumers. Thank you Casa Del Sol!

Been here before with previous owners and loved it! So far new management and chef have not let me down! You can ask for some of the stuff that was on the old menu like the fried goat cheese! Great ambiance and great staff! I would prefer a bigger menu, but the regular fare is never a let down. Salmon del Sol is so delicious! I always have a taste off my girlfriend’s plate! We always enjoy an early dinner here!

This is my favorite spot in Nyack. Me and my boyfriend come here often. Food has been great through both managements. My favorite under old management was the fried goat cheese with spinach chips. The new management doesn’t have it on the menu but if you ask for it they’ll make it. I hope they don’t stop! I also have the salmon del Sol and its divine! The red sangria is a hit or miss. Décor is fun and creative, falls very much in line with Mexican tradition.

Was there a few years ago and was not impressed.
Saw sign that it had new owner and menu, figured I’d try, as Harry’s (other Mexican spot in town) is just way too expensive and bland tasting.
I was very pleasantly surprised!
Food was fresh with good flavoring.
Portions were huge.
Very moderately priced.
Staff very friendly. Looks like they have good options/​specials during the week.
I’ll be back, and will tell my friends to go as well

I just wanted to post a review with the new ownership. The food has improved immensely, the service is still good.
The taco tuesday special is very good, and they generally have good drink specials most nights.
The food is fresh and they are willing to accommodate any special orders. We have ordered the tacos, enchiladas and nachos. Our favorite menu item was definitely the tacos, simply seasoned and perfectly seared fillings. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is it is not the best/​most authentic mexican I have ever had.

Amazing!!! New owner new chef! 3 amigo appetizer was great combo !! Toasted pita chips with 3 dips spinach artichoke, queso chorizo and a refried dip! Stuffed chicken delicious Mexican street corn was great side!!! First time trying new menu and I’m hooked on the «new» Casa !!! Super clean great to sit outside and enjoy all that Nyack really has to offer!!!
