Joe is the best! I had to wear the most disgusting, itchy, awful bridesmaids dress. A burlap sack would have been more flattering. Joe fixed the dress — it fit beautifully. He de-​poofed it and made it fit my silhouette. I would go back for any alterations in the future.

After my seven years working in luxury mens retail, I needed to find a good tailor not working at a boutique or department store. Joe is one of the most dedicated tailors that I have ever met. From basic menswear adjustments to making custom, he is by far, the best in the area. Totally cool and down to earth as well! I could talk to him forever!

I had a Burberry trench coat tailored at Camelia’s and they did a wonderful job. It was quite a complex piece but everything turned out perfect.

I have been coming to this place for years. I always get a fair price on excellent alteration work, and Joe is a character! He makes you want to stay and hang around his shop.

I’ve spent a fortune on tailoring with little success before finding Joe. I put him to the test with a suit made of Vitale Barberis Canonico fabric (up there with Loro Piana). The beautiful navy blue wool suit with chalk pinstripe was a size too big, shoulders were wide & the jacket was very long giving me a short appearance. Considering putting it up for sale as I was advised shoulder alterations are very costly & difficult to succeed. I tried the suit on in his comfy corner shop, Joe assured me the fabric was too beautiful to discard and proceeded to show me a suit he had recently altered in the shoulders. It looked great, gave me proof of his work & experience so I gave him the green light. He altered the shoulders, shorten the jacket an 1.5″, brought in the pant’s rise and narrowed the leg opening. The end result: A comfortable fix that looks custom-​made. Also gave me a relief that I finally found the tailor for me.
I have not commissioned more projects as he is now lengthening the sleeves on my Ralph Lauren by Corneliani Wool/​Cashmere suit, done waist suppression on 3 others, added cuffs on my Mabitex wool trousers and slimmed down my boxy dress shirts by adding darts. He’s able to transform anything off the rack appear that it was made for you.
He listens, advises, is detailed and knowledgeable. He understands fabrics, patterns, classic/​modern styles and most importantly what looks good on me. I don’t need to haul my clothes to Manhattan during work since Joe offers late hours and in addition always answers the phone. He is well worth the 45 min drive for me and the price for quality is valuable investment.

The owner has been in the business forever, does a great job on alterations and dry cleaning. Very reasonable dry cleaning rates. Accomodating and open good hours some nights even as late as 8pm.
