After leaving my review on Unilocal,a rep for Aan, Tanay, contacted me offering an apology due to my inconvenience. She also offered for me to use the remaining balance on my gift certificate. When I called to schedule my appointment I spoke to Nita. She was very accommodating and was able to schedule me.
Although I had a previous bad experience, I’m glad to say I will definitely be going back because of the treatment I received to rectify the initial issue. Thank you Tanay and Nita!

Omg omg! I absolutely love it here. Had a perfect experience. Long time and loyal customer of the threading salon down the street but I think after my experience today I will probably have to permanently convert over to aan’s place. Very inviting atmosphere and extremely comfortable lounge chairs to make the threading experience even better. I am so picky with my eyebrows and they are the best they have ever looked!!! 5 stars!!!

Shilpa is my go-​to threader. She works weekends. I always my brows always look a million times better after leaving.

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years in fair lawn at Arc beauty salon. I recently tried this place because I needed a rush job and couldn’t make it out to fair lawn and this is right up the street from me. First visit I had was good. I don’t remember the girls name but she was young and did the job with minimal pain.
Second visit I had to wait a half hour (2 people in front of me) and then it was very uncomfortable. I have high pain tolerance but it’s the process they use. When I go to Arc they have a method of tapping you to let you know when to hold your eyebrow AND THEY CLEAN THE HAIR OFF WITH A TIASUE. This place just let’s the hair pile up in your eye sockets while you hold your eyebrows for like 10 minutes and they throw a tissue in your hand while you are temporarily blind to clean your face yourself.
Also arc is $ 6 not $ 8 and they always have at least 4 girls working so it’s much faster. Sorry but I don’t think I will be returning.

I found Aan on Unilocal,needed a spa that specialized in sugar waxing and nearby. Spa is perfectly located for me. It is a small intimate business that specializes in threading and wax services. Aan was very helpful and informative on how to maintain and take care of my skin after my Brazilian and under arm wax services. She was quick and efficient, and it didn’t even hurt as much as my other Brazilians have in the past. I was shocked that I didn’t sweat like I usually do or flinch to prepare for the pain. That was a big big deal for me, anyone who gets Brazilians know its not a good feeling, so the less pain the better! Looks like I found a new spot, I’ll be back for my follow-​ups!

I haven’t had my eyebrows done in a while, though I had to get «eyebrow shaping» over just «eyebrow threading» which is extra and seems like a kind of confusing line, but no biopic deal. There was only street parking, but there was a lot of it and it’s not metered, which is important to me to not worry about having quarters or wasting them. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was helped right away. The threaded was very helpful and quick, although some places offer lotion after and this one didn’t.
It was a good look for a good price and was done quickly, so I’d check it out again. My only complaint was after I told the man running the credit card machine it was my first time he ran it and i said there was no please to leave a tip and he said I should have told him before he ran it. I’ve never been to any business that usually require tipping not have a tip line. I would assume most people paying with credit card usually add tip on their credit card, so I feel like he should have told me. Luckily I had a single which was better than nothing but I think if they take credit cards they need a better system.

Small shop. The owner conducts the services herself. Not luxurious but sufficient. My face did not feel as great at it normally does when I’ve had other facials so it may be the products. The eyebrow threading was good.

Love this place, great threading, quick and efficient and I love the staff. They even had a special couple weeks ago for their anniversary — it was super cute to offer deals $ 5 for brows plus cupcakes to help celebrate. Def a loyal customer, I go and will keep going every 2 wks

Awesome place. I went to get a Brazilian and was completely skeptical about the sugaring (and fearful). I’ve had strip wax and the soft wax from European and this by far was the least painful experience. She pulls in the direction of your hair to avoid ingrowns, doesn’t double dip sticks, everything is clean and covered and as Nita is working on you she is educating you on the kind of wax she is using and maintenance. No one pressured me to buy anything at all. I’m happy with her work and will come back! Very sweet lady.

HORRIBLE!!! What a nightmare! The woman who threaded my eyebrows wrongfully overdid an area and put a bald spot. Instead of being apologetic, she kept on trying to explain that it was how my eyebrows were shaped. Ladies, this place doesn’t even deserve 1 star! Do not go there!

Went in last minute for eyebrow threading. Older woman was kind and courteous. She did a fine job threading just my eyebrows… told her just clean please and she did just that, having me check to make sure it was to my liking after the first brow. I will def be back. Only thing… why $ 10 if it’s your first visit, $ 8 after? Whatevs

This place is awesome! I’m somewhat of a threading newbie. Staff here are patient and precise. My eyebrows have never looked better!

Ugh.
So I came back here today in search of that awesome younger lady to do my brows/​upper lip and she unfortunately wasn’t there. Needing desperately to get my eyebrows done before a formal occasion two days ahead, I reluctantly let the older lady thread my brows. I specified to her that I wanted threading ONLY for my eyebrows and waxing for my upper lip. She even inquired why I don’t like threading for my upper lip to which I replied that it’s faster and I’m a wimp and can’t really stand the pain. I also told her to not thread the brows too thin, as I’m trying to go for a thicker brow these days.
She starts doing my brows. This lady must have taken off about 30% of my brow volume because my brows were off-​puttingly thin when she handed me the mirror. Well, hair always grows back. Oh well.
I laid back on the table and closed my eyes, anticipating the feeling of hot wax on my lips. NOPE. This lady came FULL-​FORCE at my upper lips with the thread and I was wincing LIKE HELL. Maybe she would have noticed if she wasn’t too busy chatting up her friend who conveniently decided to show up moments before she began attacking my upper lips with the thread. I had to loudly remind her that I wanted my upper lips WAXED. She profusely apologized, but I was still pretty ticked off. I paid and left, forgoing the tip because negligence like that ain’t getting a penny out of me.
I won’t be back. I suppose the search for a DECENT threading place continues…

I only come to this place because this is the only place where the lady doesn’t mess up both of my eyebrows.
Like another review wrote, the first time was awesome! My eyebrows was so perfect. Second time OMG, one looks good the other one she messed up.
The owner is always busy, picking up the phone doing waxing and massage at the same time. She needs to hire someone else. If she wasn’t so busy this place would be perfect

First time having my eyebrows done here. The girl that did them did a nice job, but the wait was 15 mins and I was the next person in line to the lady getting her eyebrows done.
The reason for 3 stars is because it seems a bit shady to me. I went to pay with a $ 20 was asked if I had a $ 10, I said no, guy pulls out his own wallet to make change. He can’t so he gives me $ 12 change all $ 1’s from the register, ok no problem. Then proceeds to stamp out a card with 7^th eyebrow threading free, I’m thinking ‘nice!’ But he hands it to me and and says «usually first time is $ 10». Puzzled, I ask why is that? He says «it is».
That makes… No. Sense. At. All. If anything shouldn’t new customers receive a discount? Not to mention they have 10% off check-​in discount on Unilocal!and their prices are listed in the window as $ 8 eyebrow threading. So… Why the up-​charge?
Maybe I’ll come back, maybe I won’t. Just left a sour taste.

Overall this is a 4 star threading place. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is very inviting (unlike the place down the block), and the price is average. I would even score this place 5 stars but sometimes I have to wait a while. was very clever of them to start a frequent buyer stamp card. Every 8 services you purchase you will get one free. Love this place! New threading salon!

The quality of the massage I received was 5-​star, but the pricing has me feeling genuinely confused (and ripped off) and I did not enjoy the 40-​minute wait I endured either. I called the day of to schedule a much-​needed 30-​minute massage and they confirmed that they were available so I headed on over after work. Street parking was quite available at 5:30pm on a week day, but I am not sure how it is on weekends. The meters end at 6:00pm so one quarter did the trick for me.
Aan’s has a very bright and clean interior with soothing background music that really helps to create a more zen experience. I didn’t know they had a 10% check-​in offer so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the familiar notice pop up after I checked in on Unilocal.
Neeta was running the entire salon by herself and there were 3 others waiting for their eyebrows to be threaded (this is excluding me waiting for a half-​hour massage). I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time before I was asked to go into the room. I will have to say, there aren’t many people in life I will happily oblige to when they tell me «please undress and lay down,» but I happily obliged to Neeta. For the next half hour, she kneaded and massaged every kink out of my upper body, applying the perfect amount of pressure with each movement. Again, 5-​star quality massage.
I wasn’t rushed to get up immediately after my massage and encouraged to take as much as I needed to get up. The website and the pamphlet both read $ 35/​half-​hour full back reflexology massage, but when I asked her for the price, she said $ 40/​half-​hour and then taxes brings total to $ 43. She also would not honor the 10% check-​in offer, claiming that it was no longer valid. I am okay if you don’t offer discounts on services, but I believe it is bad business practice (and illegal) to not honor a discount that is advertised. I don’t think that I will return to this salon in the future since it left me feeling like I was overcharged. I would appreciate full disclosure of what the prices and services are before reconsidering a return.
