A & S Italian Pork Store of Nutley

This place produces some of the best deli sandwiches I have ever consumed! Quality ingredients, great bread, and the staff is always cheerful and very welcoming. I love A&S.

I recently started working nearby and have only been in twice, but i gotta say, this place is simply great. They keep the cases clean and well presented, and the food is high quality and delicious. Fresh mozz, chicken cutlets, prosciutto, sopressata, etc. I can’t think of something there that would be great. Stop in and find out for yourself. ENJOY!!!

The food here is top notch and the staff is friendly and helpful. Tony will most likely have an espresso with you. You will not be disappointed!

How have more people not reviewed a&s?! A true nutley staple located in the heart of nutley, this pork store has all the sausage your heart could desire and more. Everything here is truly delicious and worth the price tag. Either stop in for a quick sangwich and riceball or get some of their nice choices of meat to throw on the grill. Their catering is also outstanding. I’ve used them multiple times for big events and everything was delicious. (People still talk about the things that we ordered for my engagement party). The owner is a super nice off the boat Italian, so you know you’re gettin the goods. If you haven’t gone here and you’re in the neighborhood, do it!

Wow! Friendly service… how novel these days! Great sandwiches and best yet, you can tell them what you want in it: broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and whallah! A sandwich made to order with zero attitude. Love this place.

Great Deli… Dont listen to those other goons about price. If you want quality product you have to pay for it. You want to buy cheese for cheap go to Walmart and you will taste the difference. Tony (who I think is the owner) always is nice to you and will explain anything in detail you have questions about. He also isnt shy to give you a sample of whatever product he happens to have out or is cutting while you are there. Even a shot of espresso as well. Even the younger guys that work there are gentlemen and very respectful. Not too many of these types of Gems left in North Jersey I used to live in bergen county and would easily drive to Nutley to get stuff from here.

Best Meat Cuts in the area, might be a little $$ but goes well for the quality which is perfect!

It is not cheap, but it is a very good quality Italian market. You can pick up meats, cold cuts, prepared foods, Italian bread and imported Italian goods here.
The mozzarella cheese was ok, definitely have had better in Hoboken and at A & S in Woodland Park.
The owner is great and very accommodating.
Good stop if you are in the area.

We love the grain pie here — but they only make it once a year. Also love the pork sausage. Great place to shop for italian products.

A & S Pork Store in Nutley has good quality products and a high $$$ to go along. I personally like Franks’ Deli & Meats in Belleville, NJ. They carry quality imported Italian products and he does not BAG you for $$$ as A & S does.
Can’t beat Frank’s prices or quality which are fair market price.
Frank’s meats are top quality and fresh. Frank”s Deli & Meats is the only place I go to purchase bu chicken cutlets (thinly sliced & pounded).
FORGET A & S and go to Union Ave & Joralemon Street in Belleville, NJ for imported Italian items.

Awesome little Italian deli! I used to go here almost everyday for lunch in high school. Everything was always fresh and delectable. My all time favorite from A&S is the chicken parm sandwich. It is hands down, the best chicken parm I’ve ever had. I can’t even order it from other places because I know it will never be as good as A&S’ chicken parm. If your craving something from a good authentic Italian deli then A&S is your place!

Great selection of imported groceries, prepared foods, sandwiches, the whole 9 yards. Been going here my whole life and will continue to do so. Can’t beat the family feel of this place either. Absolutely love it!

Good products, but VERY overpriced: for example, I bought «fresh» Mozzarella, 2 lbs (smallest they had), and it was 9.99 a pound. Now, if it was the best cheese I had ever had, sure, it can be priced more than a top end steak, but this cheese was rubberry.
Before the recession when work was easy to find and keep, I would pay the bill and not mind the price at the end, but my days of walking out of there after spending $ 50 – 100 are over. If I am to spend high end money on specialty products, I had better not describe overpriced mozz as rubbery, EVER.
I work in little Italy, and I could have bought WAY better cheese for 6.99 a pound. PLEASE A&S of Nutley, justify why your rubber cheese is worth $ 3 more a lb than the OLDEST cheese maker in America on Grand St. NYC, Alleva Dairy.
