Paw Print Inn

I took my dog here probably 5 – 6 times. I find them really pretentious and inflexible. Like the others have mentioned, the customer service is rude at best, and they’re a little expensive on top of that. My dog has always come out fine, but they don’t seem like animal people because of the rude service and stuffy/​pristine atmosphere. Let’s face it, animals are messy. And if you don’t have a little dog hair here and there, or greet my dog in a friendly manner, and you’re also rude of humans… I’m just not sure it’s worth coming back.
Awhile back, I saw a promotion posted, something about following or reviewing them on social media for a discount (my memory is vague on the specific task), and I did it and mentioned it. The ladies were totally snotty and told me that was only applicable to certain services (which the sign wasn’t clear on) and not to the grooming I was getting done. I promptly unfollowed/​undid whatever task it was. Overall, if you go here, the atmosphere is just not that friendly. Is it the end of the world? No. But with so many other perfectly fine groomers, I have no reason to put up with a bunch of condescending middle-​aged women at the front desk. I now take my dog to Dog-​Gone Beautiful. It’s not as close to my house, but they’re friendly, the dogs all play in the back so it’s like a free play date, it’s not a sterile environment, and the prices are decent.

Our dear friends went on vacation and had to board their 3 cats and they were very worried about leaving them. We said we would go visit and make sure everything was going smoothly. They called the Inn and they said that would not be a problem for us to spend time with the kitties. We went almost daily and we were welcomed and no one acted like it was an imposition. The staff let us play with the kitties in the open area and gave us daily updates. The kitties adjusted and made the best of it. The litter pans were kept clean as were the dishes and the whole area. The cat area was removed from the dog area, so it was stress free for the cats and dogs not to see each other. The cat area is glassed in so you can see everything, they have nothing to hide. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely recommend the Paw Print Inn.

My family has taken their dog to Paw Print Inn for four years and they have consistently praised the treatment their dog has received. We had fun watching her playing with the other dogs on the doggie cam while we were traveling. Great service can be found here!

The best place to leave your pet! Our dog has stayed many times. I love that I can watch her from my vacation during puppy playtime. She always comes home happy, healthy, and clean.

Customer service sucks! Specifically grooming side. Have been a customer for over a year and no improvements. They don’t pick up the phone but when they call you, better attend otherwise nasty message will be left. They also want to fix an appointment way ahead but no reminder calls nor any recommendation based on the pets’s history.

Our puppy absolutely LOVES the Paw Print Inn. When I go to pick her up from doggy daycare she drags her feet like Eeyore and does not want to leave. The owners obviously take great pride in their business and everything is in tip-​top shape. The staff seem to love the animals as much as we owners do.

Like a luxury hotel for pets, this is the best in the area for our puppy to go for daycare. This facility seems to have a smaller number of pets than others nearby, so they get well supervised playtime and naps during the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful also. If I had a complaint, it would be that the price is a little higher than most, although we decided the service is worth it.

My dog, Max, was a customer for over 2 years for grooming and boarding. As usual I would make and keep appointments well in advance. But this particular day I was running a little behind in getting Max in for grooming. So I called ahead and asked if it was okay to be a little late or if I can change the appointment time. I was told no… Okay, fine, no prob. I get to the appointment anyways 10 MINUTES LATE! That is it! The receptionist says let me see if she can take you since you’re late. WTH?! Is she serious? We are talking about washing and cutting a dogs hair. When she comes back out she sits down and the groomer comes out. So I ask can Max be seen. The groomer says well this time is okay but if you’re late again… STOP! ‘No thank you’ I say. If you’re going to comment on my tardiness with a lecture you can forget about my business. My personal physician will allow me to be late 15 minutes. We are talking about a dog groomer here people!
The owner calls me 2 data later and apologizes and asks me to return to their establishment just don’t use that groomer because she can have an attitude at times. *BLANK STARE* needless to say, this was 2 months ago, and I will never ever return. My dog will not be mistreated.

No complaints about the services. My dog seemed to have a great day at day care and the groom was always fine. I am very frustrated though with the pricing structure. On the website they advertise a half day of day care as being $ 12 when paired with grooming. Yet when I went to pick up my dog they charged me $ 25 (a full day price). This happened several times and every time I had to argue with them to reduce it to the listed price. It’s disappointing because I appreciated the services, my dog seemed to enjoy himself there, and it was close to my office (convenient). I’m just done arguing with them about cost and will bring my business elsewhere.

I could not be any happier with paw print inn!!! My dog was treated so amazing and was even upgraded to a privet suite because they did not have a kennel left for his size! I loved that he got to play with other dogs for hours at a time twice a day and if I wanted to see him I could watch him on the web cam. when I picked my dog up he was so happy and calm (normally he is crazy from anxiety at other places so this was a very nice change!!) I will only use this place from now on!!!

I’m a fan of Paw Print Inn. The place is immaculate, the staff is friendly, the pets that stay there are happy & that makes me happy.
They offer daycare, boarding for dogs & cats as well as grooming for dogs & cats.
Yes, they are more expensive then your run-​of-​the-​mill backyard boarding, but when you tour the facility, you will see why!

It was a nice facility minus the strong odor which some can be expected but not that much. However, when I went for a tour I did not see any staff interacting with the pets. I was very disappointed. I cancelled my reservation for my dog and am going to All American Pet Resorts in Royal Oak. When I toured that facility I saw numerous staff members interacting with the pets.

I took Red back for another grooming last weekend and was equally impressed with the place as the first visit. Sarah, the groomer, is so sweet and nice. When she went back to get Red for me she let him out into the lobby without a leash (which I like – shows that they’re not all uptight about off-​leash dogs) and he came and greeted me, then wandered back behind the desk to the receptionist who was preparing my bill at her computer, stuck his head under her arm and insisted that she pet him. He seems so comfortable there so that’s a good sign. He looked great too – he had gotten into some burs and I had to chop away some of his fur in places – Sarah did a great job evening out my hack job! I highly recommend Paw Print Inn.

Paw Print Inn is a wonderfully large facility. They opened just last year and, despite the bad economy, seem to be going strong. The place is clean and I think they take great care of your pet. I have used them multiple times and would recommend to anyone. On site grooming makes bath and pick up a breeze.
Lengthy check-​in forms are something of a pain. Not sure why they can’t just keep your info on file. Some of their options are over the top, including gourmet meals and web access to your pet, but I suppose there is someone out there who will use that service.
While I understand their pick up policy, it still seems a bit unfair that you will be charged for a night even if your pet doesn’t stay.
