I’m going to echo a lot of the same of what people have said that this place is confusing. I’m not exactly sure what it’s trying to be — sports bar, club, lounge?
While we were there they were trying to have people dance on the dance floor, but then there was 5 different tvs on over the bar. Alright… then they had these couches by the dance floor and if you ordered bottle service you got a sparkler?
With this prime location I feel like this place could be great, but I think they need an editing eye when it comes to the concept. The drinks were okay — average priced for the area. Parking for Fountain Walk is a pain, but that comes with the territory. I hope that given time and feedback this place would turn in some sort of chic lounge or piano bar.

Horrible service. The waitstaff has no idea what’s going on. We had other people’s drinks and food brought to our table multiple times. The food and the drinks took forever and the manager could have cared less. We ordered 4 appetizers and it has been almost an hour and a half and no one can tell us when the food will be out. I will never be back.

Food was fantAstic! Loved it! Great dressings and wraps. My margarita was refreshing without being too sweet or strong. Service was terrible! Bussers served helped more then our waitress

This place kind of confuses me. When Mynt fist opened a friend and I were walking by and decided to stop in. When we got to the door we were told by security there a $ 20 cover for men and a $ 10 cover for women. It was opening night! We started walking away when the bouncer said he would let us in without a cover if we check our coats. We did and went inside. This place is a club, club. Strobe lights, DJ, bar, lounging, etc. My friend and I grabbed a table in the bar area and barley had any room. We were getting pushed and shoved by people trying to get to the bar. When I went to order a drink the bar tender told me to «hold on a minute», took a shot with some men at the bar and made three other drinks before getting to mine. The drinks are overpriced and poorly made. This placed is also filled with Chaldean men looking to pick up women.
What confused me is this place is also a restaurant by day. They set up tables on the dance floor and serve dinner… to families! I don’t know about any of you but I don’t want to eat dinner on a dance floor that had girls bumping and girding on it the night before.

I’m a bit confused why this place doesn’t have higher ratings, but I did not experience the nightclub atmosphere which I think most of the reviews are based on. I came with some friends for happy hour on a Thursday evening. There was no one to greet us in the pretty empty restaurant and we had to hunt down a waitress to be seated on the patio area. The seating area is quite nice. Happy Hour is a great deal here — 50% off mixed drinks and cocktails and all appetizers besides the seafood ones. We ordered a beer and a few hard lemonades along with chicken nachos and a potato chip dish covered with cheese sauce and more cheese and possibly sour cream. The website doesn’t link to anything so I don’t know the exact thing I ordered without the menu. The dishes were pretty generous in portion — quite tasty and savory. The chips in both dishes got quite soggy after a while but I really enjoyed the cheese sauce. The nachos were a bit disappointing. I wish there was more salsa and that the guacamole was not as … brown? I had a blueberry hard lemonade and my friend a raspberry one. It was quite good! Overall, this is a pretty interesting place in the middle of a concrete jungle in novi. If you check-​in on Unilocal,you get a free cover in!

Cool place to go and grab a nice plate of nachos from. I haven’t been there during the night scene but it semis pretty cool. Staff was great.

Went there for dinner with a Groupon. Terrible service, wrong drink orders, then wrong meals and didn’t deliver 2 guests dinners for 15 minutes after 6 of us were served. Inside is a crazy mix of night club/​sports bar/​techno ??? Smells like a chlorinated pool area! Will never go back.

Avoid this place at all costs!
I was invited to this establishment by my cousin who «reserved» a table for a group of 25. Two weeks prior and the day of the event, she spoke to the manager clarifying that she wanted a dinner table to accommodate 25 and stated the group would head to the lounge area AFTER dinner. The manager confirmed this specific reservation several times.
I arrive to the restaurant/​lounge/​bar/​club or whatever it is to find the group in the lounge area. My cousin informed me that the manager had no idea of the reservation and said the wait would be about an hour and a half and did not apologize! We tried to find another restaurant, but no where could accommodate to our large party at the last minute.
We waited and waited and still NO apology. Whatever. An hour and a half later, we finally get a table to fit half the group! Okay, now half the group is seated and the waitress does not serve water and did not provide utensils. I had to flag the waitress down for utensils when the food came and we never got water at all! The waitress was extremely rude! Whenever I asked for something, she would respond with a huge attitude, «that’s going to take a minute!»
Anyways, I ordered a soda, which was basically watered down with melted ice. In addition, we ordered a couple appetizers which were cold and lacked flavor. My brother ordered a hamburger, which he said tasted like charcoal and my chicken bacon ranch pizza tasted like nothing.
In the interim, the music was blasting to the point where you could not hear who was sitting next to you. The atmosphere was simply awful!
If you like bad service, flavorless food, and a bad environment, then by all means, go to this place!
P. S. we did not get any comps for the inconvenience and did not ever end up getting an apology!

If you love to dance to great music with a fantastic night life this is your place! My girls and I came out to celebrate a birthday and Trevor the VIP manager took GREAT care of my group! Booth with champagne WOO! Thank you Mynt for the bomb ass evening!!!

The place is a nice size but the food is terrible. The jalapeño poppers were wrapped with the worst bacon and as soon as I took the first bit, the whole piece of bacon came off of the popper. Not a good combo for me.

Cool place if you are a 21 year old girl. Bartender only knows how to make mixed drinks with the ingredients already IN the name (ie., jack and diet, vodka tonic).

If you’re an avid club visitor, come here ASAP. Mynt brings South Beach to Suburban Detroit!
This place is not too big, not too small, & the layout is perfect. They have three scattered bars, a good size dance floor & the deejay booth is encased in aesthetic pleasures overlooking the entire club.
Saw Dirty South last night, the music was amazing & the atmosphere was incredible. I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been going to bars for the past 15 years (I’m 34) and have never been as pissed off as I was in this over priced sorry excuse for a «ultra lounge» or whatever they are trying to do or be like.
Ordered 7 Johnny Vegas shots, the bartender used well tequila, pucker and only ONE redbull (for all 7 shots) go ahead and guess the price. If you guessed 70 bucks you’re spot on. WHAT A JOKE!!! I immediately spoke to the manager and he basically told me sorry about my luck. I insisted that he give the bartender some of that $ 70 as a tip because they weren’t getting a penny more from me.
It’s as if the place is so bad, that they can’t change cover on a Friday night but make up for that with 8 dollar mixed drinks (well) and 10 dollar well shots.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND SANITY, unless you’re Chaldean and want to pretend to be a «baller». Just be sure to bring 2 or 3 hundred bucks so you can help them pay for the DJ (which I’ll admit was good)

This place has the WORST FOOD I have ever eaten. I went there with a Groupon and will never go back.
Warmed up wings that were soooo bad with burgers that were frozen and nasty, guacamole that was rasid, co ndiments that were old. I was sick after — please do not go there to eat.
They do not have draft beer as well.

I visited Mynt for the first time this past Wednesday. My friends and I decided to go, figuring it might be decent for the «biggest bar night» right before Thanksgiving. I ordered my standard Captain and Coke, and I have to admit it definitely didn’t taste like Captain (had that cheap, burn your throat rum taste) …I was a little disappointed, but hey maybe my tastebuds were off that night or something. After about an hour of sitting at a table on the upper level, my friends wanted to try and get a table closer to the dance floor. The bar was steadily filling at this point so our group decided to split, two of them leaving to go find a table and two of us holding on to ours just in case. While we were waiting for some sort of signal from the table scouts, a man in a suit (who I’m assuming was some type of manager) came up to us and started making conversation, asking us how many were in our party. We explained that we were looking for a better table, so he told us to pick up our things and follow him. Here I am thinking we were getting in trouble but he actually escorted us to one of the Reserved bottle service couches right beside the dance floor! Not only that, we were given free champagne shortly after being seated!!! Definitely cool. From what I could tell, this bar was pretty standard, nothing too crazy. The managers looked like they were attentive and interacted with the crowd, however I did notice one walked right past a shattered drinking glass on the floor like he didn’t even see it… but bc of the awesome customer service my friends and I received, I have to give them 5 full stars! Id definitely try this place again.

Everything I’ve had on the menu is amazing! I’ve seen complaints about the prices but I think the quality is worth it. They have happy hour for 4 hours every single day, and different meal specials every night with a generous discount. The staff is so friendly and they all remember you! They have life size Jenga on the patio when it’s warm out! Awesome location, plenty of free parking is always a plus for me. Design and décor is beautiful and the bathroom is always tidy. No complaints here I love it

Had a great time here for a bachelorette party! Great service, great hosts, great bouncers! Couldn’t have asked for a better time! Prices are very decent! We got an awesome deal with our table, a giant bottle of vodka and champagne for about $ 8 per person, there was 8 of us! The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because they have stairs by the bar that are not iluminated, quite dangerous in a dark bar, a few of us fell! Just watch out for those! Also, the dance floor got quite slippery by the end of the night and I slipped and fell :(, they had no staff wiping it down. That was the only downside.

AVOID! The hostess was extremely welcoming but everything went downhill from there. When we EVENTUALLY got a waiter, he knew nothing about the menu or cocktail offering. Our drinks were EVENTUALLY brought to us but unfortunately they were not what we ordered. We sat for over 90 minutes without a waitstaff to ever return. Then, to top things off, the manager approached us and asked if he bought us a round of drinks would we move from our seats. Denying this offer he asked what it would take for us to move. I replied that we will move when we leave. He didn’t like this answer and walked away. We are curious why we were asked to move when there were two other available couches next to ours. This is a horrible way to treat customers. This is a new business and despite the lack of waitstaff, we were actually thinking of returning. Not anymore! The security guy that spoke to us all night was the nicest person in the joint.

There are a few rules I’d follow if I ever happen upon this place again.
1. Order the cocktails with the «non-​happy hour» pour: we had cocktails pre/​post happy hour time and the difference between the pour was significant. I’d rather pay full price and get an actual drink, as opposed to paying half price for simple sugar and lime juice. Having said that, the cocktails (non-​happy hour) were amazing ~ and the soul reason for the 2 stars.
2. Don’t eat: The food is terrible. Like, bad, bad. It reminded me of something you’d make in your dorm room microwave.
3. Skip Happy Hour: First of all the «rules» for HH are ridiculous. The $ 8 food items are $ 5, but the problem is the $ 8 food items aren’t worth $ 1. All the other food is regular priced, and there are all sorts of rules for the spirits too! Either way, a place that has giant «happy hour specials» plastered all over be outside should have some happy hour specials that are worth something. And as I said before, the happy hour cocktails just are not worth it because they skimp on the liquor.
Atmosphere: The décor is pretty cool, but the outdoor stools don’t go with the tables in that they’re an awkward level so it was hard to eat. It’s like the seats of the chairs are too low, and the arms too high to slide under the table, so you end up on the edge is the seat trying to sit «up» to the table? And the service was bad. We wanted to order another cocktail before HH was over, but we couldn’t because our waitress decided it was more important to smoke 2 cigarettes (bumming a drag from someone that walked by) at the front door of the place (we were on the adjoining patio). So we sat and watched as time ticked by, until someone in the party got up to hunt her down. And she over shared on her personal life. To the point where we decided to just leave instead of having another cocktail because she just wouldn’t stop.

Terrible service and a $ 5 cover charge. What, exactly, are we paying $ 5 cover for? Live band? No. Headlining DJ with a happening dance floor? No.
Anyways, my fiancé and I tried this place out Saturday night. Bouncer at front door was nice guy, making a joke about the cover. We were out to have a nice night, so paid the cover to try this new place out. Went in and got our drinks fairly quickly.
That’s where the service ended. We never had another bartender check on us or ask if we needed another drink. Finally flagged down some guy behind the bar who was in a suit. After he explained he wasn’t a bartender and couldn’t get us a drink, I asked him if he could get us someone who could. I then watched this person leave from behind the bar, never asking one of the bartenders to attend to us. We immediately paid our tab, which was $ 17 bucks for a martini and Heineken, and left.
On the way out I stopped the gentlemen in the suit to ask what his job was, as he was now walking around. He said he was a manager. I asked him why he had disregarded our request for him to get a bartender to wait on us. He said that he had had to tend to a bachelorette party that had just arrived. He offered to buy us a free drink now, but too late. We were leaving.
A good manager would have stopped and asked one of the three bartenders he walked past as he left the bar area, to tend to the couple without drinks at the end of the bar.
Terrible service. I would have given just 1 star, but the layout of the outdoor bar area has lots of potential. If we hear good things about this place in the future, we may give it one more shot. At this point, though, would rather go to Bar Louis if we’re going to Fountain Walk. Much better service there… And no $ 5 cover.
