Many Mars supermarkets are known for a large amount of theft, therefore the Baltimore organizations have employed security for each Mars location in the Baltimore area. So, although Mars are typically older stores, at least you know they have a higher standard for the security of the store. This Mars is not the typical grocery store that I shop at, but it does the«trick» every now and again. It offers cheaper prices on produce and bread, although I don’t think their meat section is up to par with that of Giant or Weis. The clerks and cashiers are more friendly and willing to help if you need assistance. The store even offers a lot healthier options for their patrons, carrying a lot of vegetarian and lighter/fewer/non-fat etc etc. products.

I’ve never had anything but good service here. The cashiers are always super friendly. The store is laid out well and it’s cheaper than any of the stores in the area(and much better than Safeway!). They don’t have the best selection but they are trying – they recently added an organic produce selection which I really appreciate. They also sell tofu and edamame. I wish they could carry Amy’s brand of frozen and canned foods. I also noticed they don’t have any vegan margarine. But hey, I’ll do with what I got,
