The place looks nice when you come in and everything, but the manager Wendy is so rude! I got my pedicure, full set and eyebrows with her, all three were awful! she made four of my toes bleed, my acrylic nails were all crooked and my eyebrows looked terrible!!! she is the worst pedicurist I have ever had!

I went here once and that one time was the only time. The place is well organized which is the only thing they have going for them. When I was getting my nails done by Wendy I have never felt more uncomfortable and disrespected here. First off they are very aggressive and impatient with you and when you try to have small talk they basically disregard your existence. The nails themselves weren’t even done well. I got acrylics and they were all crooked.bAwesome. I would not recommend people to come here for the fact that they don’t care about you or what you want, all they want is the money and see you later buh bye.

Wendy is awesome! I am super in to nail art, very wild and detailed and Wendy has always come through doing designs for me that I love and they charge a little less than I have paid at other shops. The only thing they could improve on is sanitation. They don’t use new liners in the pedicure tubs for each person and they don’t scrub them after each client, just a quick rinse. They do have autoclave devises to sterilize their tools though. The staff could NOT be any nicer or accomodating. Handicap accessible!

They do a nice job with manicures, BUT they are dirty. They do not clean their tools after they use them on you. What I just witnessed was they REUSE their acetone they use to soak off your gel manicure, I had to fight with them to get clean acetone from the jug from the back and she made it a huge deal. They are all very nice, but make sure you tell them you want clean tools, I thought that was automatic, guess not.

Wendy is the hands down (no pun intended) the best nail tech I have ever gone to. I’ve bounced around from salon to salon for the past 8 years and I have never met anyone who cares about her clients on a personal level more than Wendy. She listens to exactly what you would like and does not get annoyed or offended when you ask for what you want. I am almost never consistent with the services I want (gel mani, acrylics, pedis, etc.), but I know that no matter what I ask for she will go above and beyond my expectations. She offers dark pink and light pink acrylic for pink and white, and caters to your every nail shape desire. I highly recommend that you go see Wendy if you live within a 25 mile radius. SO worth it!

I come here pretty religiously for my Acrylic fills and have yet to be disappointed! I pay $ 18 and they come out perfect every time (Laura does my nails but everyone is great) also the place is HUGE and clean and they have a bathroom which many nails salons don’t have! I will definitely continue to bring my business here!

I didn’t mind coming here because they have a wide variety of nail colors. But the last time I went Wendy (who is the manager and is supposed to be professional) said a terrible comment. A couple Muslim women walked by the salon and Wendy looked at me and said «are you Muslim? Do you wear that thin wrapped around your head?» And I said «no I am not…» She then said «okay good don’t come here if you are» I could not believe how ignorant someone can be in 2014. You best believe I will never recommend this salon to anyone I know.

I stopped going to Fashion Nails a few months ago.
There are so many nail salons in Norwood, and the only appeal for me to go to Fashion Nails & Spa is because they open until 8pm. That way I can go get my nails done after work and not feel bad for keeping the staff late.
However, the past couple of times I went there I felt like I cannot relax and just enjoy myself. The ladies are constantly chatting in Vietnamese, not even under their breaths. When I get a pedicure, I want a relaxing atmosphere so I can sit back and enjoy the massage chair. However, the design of the nail salon does not allow for any relaxation nor privacy. There are 5 – 6 pedicure chairs in the center of the salon and staff are constantly talking to one another. It’s really kind of awkward.
One of the girls who did my pedicure made my toe bleed, and then when she was filing my acrylics down, she cut my cuticle with the drill. She was the only person who managed to get my hands AND feet to bleed in one session. Another time I went, she got a little drill-​happy and decided to burn the crap out of my nails.
I’m ok with not going back there… There are so many other decent nail salons in the area.

Saw the Unilocal deal and went in for a pedicure. Had a wide array of colors, unlike most nail salons they had many more «unnatural» shades (not pink-​red) than natural. In fact, I had a color in mind that I didn’t see available there. But no issue, there was still a nice selection of colors. I was treated professionally throughout the visit — yes, it was clean — but at first, the staff did not want to accept my Unilocal coupon through my mobile phone. They don’t seem too up on the technology, so make sure that if you use your coupon, your bring in a printed copy of your receipt. Cheapest pedicure for miles around, so worthwhile experience overall.

Called in to ask if they take walk-​ins & the friendly staff told me to come on in. This place isn’t in the nicest looking shopping center & I’ve driven by it a couple times but don’t judge a book by its cover! Once I walked in the place is very modern, clean, & updated. The owner Wendy introduced herself & was very professional & friendly. The staff that did my fill was efficient & did a very good job. Will be coming back soon!

I love this nail salon! Wendy and her staff are great! I recently moved 30 mins from the salon and still make the trip to Norwood to see Wendy. I’ve been getting my nails done (acrylics and gels) for over 10 years, and this is my favorite out of all of the salons that I have been to.

Great service. Rose did my nails, she’s such a nice lady as well as Wendy. They make my gorilla fingers look like a million bucks! Highly recommend.

Now that Wendy is the owner of this salon and spa I am so happy to be there. I followed her from the mall location and LOVE HER! Her staff is excellent.
I can always get in but choose to make an appointment to be courteous.
My gel color nails last more than 2 weeks and I work with my hands.
The staff is friendly.

Terrible. I went here once and left with a fingernail bleeding, vowed never to go back againand somehow stupidly ended up going back since it was on my way home from work and I was in a rush and thought maybe perhaps they had somehow changed. This time, I definitely will NEVER ever go back. Felt like I was on a conveyor belt and they were trying to just bust out as many clients as quickly possible for the money. Absolutely killed my cuticles because they were rushing so fast. My cuticles turned red and raw. The tips of my nail polish chipped off after 3 days and I ended up having to completely remove the polish after how bad it looked. She cut my toenails too short to the point where they hurt. I absolutely agree with the previous poster who said it was basically just a quick paint job.
I also have heard that they make their own prices depending on the day and how well they are doing that day. I paid 48 dollars for a completely junk manicure and pedicure. Such a waste.
And no, I don’t want an eyebrow wax when my eyebrows look clear as day that they have already been waxed a few days ago.

Apparently Norwood, Massachusetts is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the town that locals refuse to abandon. Basically, people never tire of the typical Boston suburb and many natives return to raise their own families in the tight-​knit community. So, of course it came as no surprise when my college friend and his fiancée, both hailing from Norwood, decided to live and marry there.
A few weekends ago, several of us college pals made the trek up to New England for their beautiful wedding. We checked into our basic, yet well-​appointed, hotel on the town’s busy Route 1, and my friend and I decided that we needed to prep for the wedding with a nice manicure/​pedicure. I asked the happy couple for a recommendation on a local nail salon, but was referred to an exclusive spa that wanted to charge me over $ 50. My friend and I decided to inquire with the concierge regarding a more affordable option. We were instructed to visit the recommended Fashion Nails & Spa, which was located in the neighboring strip mall. As we walked down the highway and approached the outdated shopping center, I had my doubts.
We entered the large salon just in time to secure our treatments prior to their closing for the evening. The shop appeared nice enough, but was certainly not hip or trendy. I actually came face-​to-​face with a poster of various glammed-​up claws. You know the type — bright green with rainbows, blue with stars, and other hideous creations meant to inspire patrons to request these horrific works of art. I disguised my repulsion and walked over to the carousel of nail polishes. I am definitely more of an Essie product user than an O.P.I. fanatic, so I was saddened to see that they only had a few Essie options. Many of the other colors were not even O.P.I., but cheaper selections. The stylist hovered around trying to force colors on me. I caved under the pressure and settled for shades that resembled my usual options. My friend and I hopped into the pedicure chairs and sat through what was essentially a quick paint job. We did not receive a massage or exfoliation… nothing! Then, while she headed to the dryer, I proceeded on for my manicure. Again, I just received a quick polishing, but no pampering whatsoever. As my friend and I sat drying our nails, the stylists glanced back and forth between the clock, which was dangerously nearing their closing time, and us. The woman that painted my nails even came over and insisted that my polish was dry. She removed my hand from underneath the fan and actually pressed on my nail with her finger! The polish smudged and needed to be redone, counteracting her goal to rush me from the establishment.
I basically paid $ 37 (much more than I spend in New Jersey) for a no-​frills paint job. We probably should have just splurged at the spa and enjoyed a more relaxing treatment.
