Specialties

Welcome to the Talent Education Suzuki School! TESS is a place of love and warmth where families discover the joys of music. We provide students with the highest level of musical training in violin, viola, cello, flute, piano and guitar through the Suzuki Method. This approach fosters the development of musical intelligence, interest, awareness, and appreciation in a positive and nurturing environment. At the same time, our goal is to develop in every student important life concepts such as self-discipline, respect, and performance confidence that will enable them to flourish throughout their lives.

History

Established in 2005.

Becki Christopherson, director and owner of TESS, is a life-long Suzuki student and teacher. She understands how the Suzuki Method can unlock the unlimited potential in children. Parents, children, and teachers are all nurtured through the skills exemplified in the philosophy and pedagogy created by Dr. Suzuki to achieve their best as musicians, citizens, and educators. Working as a team with our faculty, she takes responsibility for the development of each child in the school.

Parents are offered a support to aid them in their own musical knowledge and to assist them in their crucial role as the home teacher. Students may select from several instruments and courses of study: violin, viola, piano, guitar, flute and cello. Courses of Study range from introductory Talent-Ed Kids classes, to beginning Suzuki instrumental and theory studies all the way to the Advanced Program of chamber music, composition and other electives. TESS offers many supplemental classes that make traveling to N
