I won’t ever come back to this place again. They were the ones who banned me from coming here again.
This place has always had a very shady feel to it. My first two experiences were decent, but this last time was the worst.
1. They asked me to pay first for the $ 30/​hour combo. This felt really weird already.
2. Then there was a hidden $ 1 credit card fee. This isn’t written anywhere.
3. Therapist was coughing heavily the whole time. Pretty disgusting.
4. Afterwards, the lady stood there waiting for the tip, which I handed her $ 5 (I felt the amount was decent enough considering all things that happened so far), but she demanded more. She very rudely said it has to be $ 10, so I asked her where does it say I have to give a mandatory $ 10 tip? She said some place across the street is $ 45/​hour, so it is already cheaper here. I refused to give her more than that, so she said that next time, I can just go to the $ 45/​hr place instead then.
Then as I turned and was walking out, she yelled to the back saying «They only gave $ 5!» It was like I did something terrible to them!
Anyway, since they told me to go elsewhere, that’s what I will do. I suggest all Unilocalers to do the same.

I came here with my boyfriend and the woman apparently busy.. ugh the place was empty … then she asked my boyfriend to pay before we even got a madsage… besides being so rude we felt uncomfortable paying first. Never again.

I went with a family member after calling the week before to make a reservation. They asked me to pay before the services– no problem. When I tried to leave a tip too, about 18%, the lady said, «No, tip afterwards.» I had been here once by myself so was ok with leaving an upfront tip. But I followed her request and waited. Big mistake, I would discover.
We had our massages. Helen did do a good job on my back. She did work hard. My family also reported a good massage, and that they applied hot stones to her back. She enjoyed the treatment.
Unfortunately, what happened next, will cause me not to return. Both ladies demanded a 30% tip. Let me say this again, BOTH ladies Demanded a 30% tip.
I do realize there are different cultural norms and expectations. However, if I opened a shop in a country foreign to me, I would seek to learn their customs and not force my country’s customs on them. In this country a 30% tip is 5 star service, at least. The massage was good, but I have had better. I do not appreciate being badgered into leaving a 30% tip. I won’t be returning.
