As an entitled Millennial I am very sensitive when it comes to bad service. Today was not an exception to this. My pal Michael who NEVER leaves the office to go to lunch, was finally persuaded by me and others to take stroll outside and venture to the local Thai spot. Don’t think he’s liking his decision too much right now. So, we all ordered. All of our food came… EXCEPT for Michael’s. They legit NEVER brought it, we asked twice and still nothing. They brought his food to go when we received the bill. Really terrible service here. He ate the to go lunch in his office looking extremely sad. Poor Michael.

I discovered this little gem by accident. Never the less I was impressed by the cleanliness of the resturant and the friendly helpfulness of the employess. I think this may be a family owned business it looked like three generations of family members were cooking the meals, waiting and busing the tables. There were alot of people sitting in the booths and tables when I walked in. There was a wholesome happy vibe to the place. Now to the food! I ordered: Wor Wonton Soup with shrimp and Bar-B –Que Pork. The broth to the soup was delicious and they were not stingy with the shrimp at all. Chicken Satay: Chicken marinated with herbs and barbequed on skewers, served with peanut sauce. Boy these were delicious, some of the best satay I have ever had in a resturant! I plan to return to this resturant next time I am in Norwalk. I am always happy to find a resturant that sells food quality food at moderate prices!

This has got to be some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! Had the beef drunken noodles and pad Thai and both were excellent! Get there early if your going for lunch. We arrived just in time to beat the lunch rush and by the time we ordered our food there wasn’t a single table available. The food was hot and fresh and had a great mix of sweet, sour and spice and salt that great Thai food is known for. Definitely will be coming back again and bringing the rest of my family to enjoy dinner. The only issue we had was one of the servers got a little attitude with my wife, however the owner heard everything that happened and apologized for her employee and made everything right. Everyone has a bad day. Definitely worth a visit, certainly a place worth coming back too.

Worst service I have experience trying to order something to go give me two little cups of fish sauce said that They have to charge me for getting another little cup fish sauce. Every other Thai place I go to has never try to charge me for asking for another fish sauce.

Ordered the #45 to go…(War Wonton Soup) and in the menu it says «Wonton Soup with Shrimps(plural) and BBQ Pork.» When I got home and opened it there was 1 shrimp in the soup(not Shrimps as the menu says) and there was ZEROBBQ Pork. They replaced the BBQPORK with a few pieces of chicken. Be careful what you order to go at this place… they short you and lie about what is in the soup.

One of my favorite Thai Places. This place is legit. The server are usually really nice and attentive but the food is absolutely great. Highly Recommend.

Came in here for lunch a few days ago and was just very unimpressed with the service. One waitress for the entire restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Place was packed with at least 10 tables full. Are you kidding me? Food: food is consistently good, but it’s pricey. Quality is good, but with a few drinks, entrées and an appetizer/soup/starter, you can easily spend $ 25/person. Not a good value for the amount of food. They have lunch and dinner specials, but they are limited to certain days/hours and selections. It’s ok for once in a while when we crave Thai food, but we won’t be back anytime soon.

We came here with some friends for dinner on a friday night. It wasn’t very crowded we were able to find a seat when we got there. I ordered the thai iced tea and the khaw soy noodles. Super good here and they make it just right with the beef nice and tender and basically pulls apart. The ratio for everything was just right. We ordered the egg rolls as well which were made very well. I would definitely come back here again but the only problem was that they didn’t have many options for vegetarians which my wife is so we had to find ways to order what she wanted.

Very dissatisfied. I was craving Thai food and this place was close to where I was at so I decided to give them a try. It was very busy for lunch. The poor servers looked frazzled. They probably could have benefited from having 1 to 2 more for busy hours, or at least a hostess or cashier. The menu was large with Chinese food items??? I asked the girl what kind of restaurant this was because I thought it was Thai. She told me it was Thai. There was also no spring rolls. That was the main reason I wanted to get Thai food. I ultimately ordered the beef penang, medium in spice, with a side of brown rice to go. $ 12. Waited 20 minutes!!! The food itself was a Watery mess! The broth was sooo watery and didn’t look like any penang I have ever seen. Few pieces of beef that was chewy. Not spicy whatsoever. Won’t be back.

Love the service and nice clean restaurant. If you go for lunch, make sure to order off the lunch menu. It’s the best deal. $ 7.99 $ 9.99 $ 10.99 Anything within the $ 9.99 is the best since you get a salad and lots of food! ;)

I had eaten at this place frequently ever since they opened near my old job back in 2009 I believe it was. Food was good and service was always excellent. I tried this place again today, ordering takeout for my company which happens to be close in proximity again. Called in 8 orders at 11am, arrived at 11:40am and everything was ready as promised. Everything was packed neatly with plenty of sauces which were also packed in separate bags to avoid any spillage. The food was excellent again. Everyone loved what they ate. Pad Se Ew and Pad Thai were great. Kung Pao chicken was enjoyed. I ordered the yellow chicken curry with brown rice and it was so good… I forgot how good this place was. If you’re in the area be sure to stop by. From what I’ve seen, it is family owned and everyone there is very friendly. And the restaurant itself is spot on clean.

Unilocaler Felix L gave me a recommendation to try Renu Nakorn after reading my review of Lotus of Siam(which is in Vegas), as it seems both are from the same owners and have similar recipes, so I dutifully landed up here for lunch with some colleagues a couple of days ago. Renu Nakorn is located in the same plaza as Bionic Land the do-it-yourself Bionico place and at peak lunch hours parking here is tight but available. Upon entering we were greeted by an almost full restaurant, which I tool as a sign of their popularity. Unfortunately that was the only greeting that we got as the three servers inside ignored us and went about their business. After almost five minutes of waiting we shown to the only available table and were given menus. I looked behind me and saw that there were another two parties waiting which was unlike any other Thai restaurant for a regular weekday lunch. Anyway my friends decided to get the tofu in red curry lunch special and the Renu Nakorn #4 special($ 10.99) which was a soup, egg roll, fried rice and stir fried chicken. I settled on a Khao Soi($ 8.99). After ordering the food took a very long time to come out at almost 25 minutes. When the food come it came out all at once. In every restaurant they first give out the soup/salad/egg roll and then serve the main entrée and rice but here all items of the #4 special were dumped on the table at the same time. The tofu in red curry and Khao Soi was cold like it had been sitting on the counter for a long time before it was picked up and delivered to the table. Kaho Soi comes topped with dry crispy noodles which by now had become a soft mushy mess in the soup. Taste-wise it was humongous let down. Forget about Lotus of Siam which is in a different league Renu Nakorn does not even stand up to Monora Thai, Thailicious or Sweetee Thai in Cerritos. My friend who got the tofu in red curry remarked that this was the whitest«red curry» that he had ever had. I tasted some and felt that the tofu was hurriedly cut and dunked into the curry without any cooking what so ever as it tasted raw. The other friend who got the #4 special said that the soup is undrinkable as it was extremely salty. I took and sip and concurred. His chicken dish was watery and friend rice passable. Let’s save the best for last. My Khao Soi was«Crap». It was just sweet without even a trace of spice. All that you got was coconut milk in each sip. After the first couple of sips my palate adjusted to the sweet taste and I could put it down. Both my friends tasted this mess and confirmed that it was way too sweet even for them. Coupled with soft mushy crispy noodles and slightly lumpy white noodles in the broth this was like the worst Khao Soi that I had ever had. Price-wise Renu Nakorn is almost 30% more expensive than Thai restaurants in Cerritos even for their specials which means that they are milking their popularity to the fullest. This would be fine if the food matched the price but it falls short way short, making it a very expensive avoidable meal. They do take cards with a $ 10 minimum but that should be not be a problem as you would hit that very easily considering the overpriced food. My experience with following recommendations has generally not been very good and unfortunately Renu Nakorn added a notch for the failures. I have absolutely no intention of returning as there are tons of good Thai places in Cerritos that I can go to for much better and cheaper food.

From Redondo Beach all the way to Chino, California. By far the best Pork Larb I’ve had. Great service and great atmosphere. The place is kept clean and the food is made quick. This is my third time here and I’ve ordered the same dish all three times, the Pork Larb. I say come and give it a try.

Oh man… I am quite disappointed to be writing such s crappy review for this place. Sunday night, I am mad craving Thai food. I remember my office orders from this place which is about a mile from my house. It is 810p and they close at 9p. I rushed over here with my husband for a late night dinner. The restaurant only had three tables of two people and it was very quite. We were seated after a couple minutes, I browsed over the menu and ordered. Even though the place was slow(very little customers), the food took a while to come out. First to come soup(yay, they made it spicy; damn they automatically put shrimp in there without asking«higher priced item»). Second up, chicken sate(spot on delicious), third up green curry beef(wrong type of meat since I ordered chicken; sent it back and it was only mediocre), fourth up spicy beef(beef was very tough and difficult to chew), and last but not least BBQ pork(not only this did not please the eye, the pork was WAYOVER tenderized and it felt like fake meat; gross). My husband suspected the grill marks on the BBQ meat were fake since it did not have any hint of being on an actual grill. It tasted very bland without the side sauce and again, the presentation of the entrée just did not look appealing. My husband had s coke and I had a water. Our wait kept apologizing for the chefs mess ups. He continued to explain how they chef has been messing up all day. I asked if it was a new chef. He said no. He continued to explain when the place is slow, the chefs mess up more knowing they have time to re do the entrees. However, when it’s busy the chef is always spot on. Me thinking… Nice to know you admit to the messed up food. Can I have a discount off my meal? Anyways, the bill comes and its a whopping 50+ dollar. What the freaking hell?! For this food? Completely not worth it. I was very disappointed in my experience and the waiters confirmation of chef mess ups without compensation did not appease me. Sadly, I will not be a returning customer.

My boss recommended I come here for lunch — he said to get their pad thai, but I am not usually a fan of that. We arrived around 12 and while it was busy, we were still able to get a seat. Our waiter was very friendly and prompt, the food all came out pretty quickly. We ordered beef jerky, egg rolls, yellow chicken curry, and fried rice. I also got an order of pad see ew to go to eat for dinner later. We also ordered Thai tea & Thai coffee and the total was about $ 50, not too bad considering how much we ordered. The beef jerky was really good! Very thick pieces and a great sauce on them. The egg rolls were too dry and not very flavorful. My chicken curry was great, I got medium spice and it was good, definitely a heat that built up as I ate it. Good quality chicken. My pad see ew, which I ended up eating the next day for dinner was excellent! I would order that next time, I bet it would be even better fresh. Renu Nakorn is pretty out of the way for me to go for lunch, but I could see myself calling it in and getting it to go on the way home sometime.

The first time I ate at this restaurant was seven days ago and I’ve been here four times since. It’s the best place to grab a quick lunch in the area. There’s always parking, service is fast, and the food is hot and delicious. Shrimp Pad Thai 5⁄5 — Some of the best pad Thai I’ve had Pad See Ew with Beef 4⁄5 — I ate every last bite Duck Curry 4⁄5 — Can’t go wrong with duck in curry Pad Woon Sen 4⁄5 — Tasty but my favorite is still at a hole in the wall restaurant in Dallas. Coconut Ice Cream 3⁄5 — I probably won’t be ordering this again. It was good but nothing out of the ordinary

I usually get to go from this joint. This last time we had a sit in lunch at the restaurant. We ordered the following items: Chicken Satay Tom Kah Chicken soup Spicy Catfish Steak Seafood fried rice Total came to $ 60.00 with tip and tax. Pros: 1) Very delicious catfish(+1) 2) Seafood fried rice was very good too. 3) Very attentive wait staff. Cons: 1) $ 2.00-$ 3.00/item more than what I would have liked to see. 2) Steak was not good at all.(–1)

Renu Nakorn is the byproduct of the owners of Lotus of Siam– the renowned Thai establishment in Las Vegas if you’re into the history of restaurants. Don’t come here for your atypical Thai dishes– you can get that anywhere. Be a little adventurous and poke around their Northern Thai offerings. We ordered: –nam prik-ong: It’s basically a Thai take on what we familiarize ourselves with Americanized chili. It’s a dip made from ground beef, tomato, and dried spices. You get a side of pork rinds(!) and cucumber slices to dip into the chili. The chili was fragrant, not in any way offensive in smell or taste, but a good light, way to start off our meal. I also really liked eating it over rice. –sai qua: The Northern style Thai sausage which is a little bit spicier. It’s stuffed with ground beef + fresh/dried herb spices. This one packs a little bit more of a punch and the raw onions and sausage go really well together. Also good? Good with rice. And lastly, this was the real reason I came to Renu Nakorn: KHOISOI. If you haven’t already had the pleasure of consuming khoi soi, you go ahead and add that to your food bucket list because let me tell you, this is one mind blowing, palette f******* dish that needs not to be missed. EVER(if offered on a menu which seldom happens). Khoi soi is a curry noodle, but don’t be apprehensive because the curry is influenced by Burmese flavors which offers milder, coconut-y version of curry. The Thai egg noodles chill in a coconut curry broth, some chicken(choose chicken), and garnished with sliced red onions, pickles, and you have the option of squeezing in lime juice which I usually do. It’s topped off with some crunchy noodles, that when settled long enough, makes for a nice textual contrast with the egg noodles. The khoi soi here is bomb and I think about this dish more often than not. DOIT. 5 stars for offering Northern Thai cuisine outside of Hollywood alone. That and they do it proper.
