I want to thank the team at the pep boys in Norwalk. They were very helpful, knowledgeable, honest and completed all the work promptly. I had my brakes and rotors done on my bmw and they gave me a great price with lifetime brake pad warranty and roadside assistance when I purchased a tire. They explained all the details and gave me some great suggestions.

I came to this Pep Boys yesterday because my brakes were practically done for and I needed new ones. Charly was able to fit me in on last min notice and I’m so grateful he did. From the moment I arrived he was very attentive and helpful in taking care of my care and making sure that I received the best service possible. I appreciate his awesome advice and for actually caring enough. Because of Charly and his fantastic customer service I will continue to visit this Pep Boys from now on. Thank you so much for all of your help and suggestions and I will definitely be back!

Using my wife’s Unilocal account again… Went in on 3÷25÷16 for an oil change. Jerry, the manager was very helpful and the mechanics are great! I appreciate their excellent service and it was completed in a short amount of time. I highly recommend the Norwalk Pep Boys and will continue to bring my vehicles in for future service.

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and thanks to the assistant manager Jerry, the two awesome mechanics Johnny and Juanito.
I was on a road trip from San Diego to San Francisco to drop off my dog to my moms before going on deployment when my car broke down on I-​5 north by Newalk Saturday morning. I called the other four Pep boys in the area to take a look at my car, but they were all busy, and told me to come the next day. I got my car towed at this location and Jerry was kind enough to squeeze me in.
They troubleshot my car and found out it was the timing belt. They close at 6 pm and they told me that it’ll take some time to get it done. I was all flustered on what to do because I’m not trying to spend overnight in a hotel with my Siberian husky, while the car is getting fixed.
Soon after, Jerry told me that the two mechanics, Johnny and Juanito, decided work overtime to make sure it gets fixed and I get back on the road to see my family. I’m just so thankful for what they did to help me out. Jerry even gave me a better discount than the 10% military discount. These guys are awesome!!! Thank you!

I came in near closing time on Sunday because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Jerry and his team were very polite. They checked my tire and showed me a crack in the rim.
Since they don’t do that kind of work, they referred me to a reputable place. The technician installed my spare and put my old tire in a plastic bag inside my trunk.
All of this at no charge. Thank you Jerry for the great customer service.

I don’t know why this location got bad reviews but my personal experience have been wonderful. I brought my car in after a dead battery, and was told my battery is under warranty for 3 years. The new manager, Enrique was very helpful, considerate and assisted me in a very professional manner, got me in and out in no more than 30 mins. I would recommend this location to anyone. For those who wrote bad reviews, I can sympathize with you. It may be because this place was under a previous management that was recently changed to a new management.

I had a nail in the tire. I called pep boys. The tire store was close 30 minutes ago but he was willing to repair it. Kudos to Enrique and Eddie

I came here because my ‘check engine’ light came on during the week. I arrived here on a Tuesday around 11am. The associate Enrique told me it would cost $ 89 to get a diagnostic check but they were really busy and probably wouldn’t get to it. I liked the honesty. So I decided to wait a few days and make an appointment.
I called on Thursday to make the appointment for Friday at 8am. Same associate assisted me over the phone. Nice and helpful.
I arrived the following morning as scheduled. Another customer was being assisted before me. Enrique greeted me with a smile and welcomed me. I explained my situation and he assisted me right away.
They took my car in before the other customer. Maybe because I had an appt. I wanted to go home and wait for the bad news from the shop. While I waited for my ride, Enrique came into the lobby and told me the good news. Mechanic said my gas cap seal was broken and was making my light come on. No charge.!! Enrique looked up my car model and found they had a gas cap for me. I gave the go ahead to replace it for $ 9. A few minutes later, the mechanic advised that I should get the gas cap from the dealership for a better seal.
Since I was there, I told them I was also experiencing a grinding sensation when I pressed the breaks. Enrique said they would check it out. 5 minutes later, he came back saying the brakes are good but were dirty. $ 29 to clean and adjust the breaks. Done.!!
How many times do you go to a mechanic and they burn you for small things. In a world where time and money is an issue, car problem solved for under $ 40 and all done in 40 minutes. I was very impressed with the honesty and with the customer service from the PepBoys associates.
Also, Enrique is not just the associate but the store manager. I think I may have found my new mechanic. Definitely going to spread the word. Great job Enrique.

Took my car in to replace my front shocks. I made an appointment at 8:00 am. Got there on time and they saw me right way. Enrique the service rep was very helpful and got my truck in the bay immediately after asking me about my issue. In 20 minutes I had an estimate for the work. At 9:05 I got a call about something else they found (which needed attention, but not immediate). I felt no pressure by the staff to do the work. They were, however very informative about the issue. I paid was I was quoted and my Dodge Ram 1500 is riding smooth

03÷07÷15 had great service at this location. They changed all tires oil change and took time to check car for long road trip I would recommend if you have any problems

Been going to this location since Joey was the manager. He ‘s great. Then management changes. Some of them, great. Some, not good at all. Yesterday, was nicely taken cared for by Enrique, the new manager. He was very encouraging just like Joey. Wish that corporate won’t change him as you develop a nice working relationship then they change to bad management. Enrique, thanks for making it a great experience and providing an excellent service.

Great service they’re are very nice and helpful got me in and in literally 5mins.
Of course I just needed to switch out my spare with my new tire but they did a wonderful job,

Oh and they’re open till a reasonable later time for those people with no time coming from work.

Horrible horrible horrible. Yesterday, I went in to get an oil change around 1pm and the guy behind the counter said that he apologized, but the wait time would be about 6 hours and that we would be serviced by 7pm, maybe later. He gave us the option of making an appointment for the next day, which is today, at 1pm. We got there 15 mins before and tried to check in, but he (the same guy) told us the wait was 2 – 3 hours regardless that we had an appointment. I had to change my schedule around for this appointment and now I have to wait hours more for it? Does Pepboys not understand how an appointment works? I am so disappointed and frustrated with the lack of respect you show for your customer’s time. I will NEVER go back to a Pepboys again. Thank you for wasting my time and gas

Went in for just an oil change and their complementary tire rotation. Usually, most places also do a complimentary vehicle inspection. They do this to try to get more business and on occasion, I welcome it. All of the aforementioned was written in the work order and the final receipt they gave me. Much to my surprise, they didn’t do the tire rotation, nor did they do a vehicle inspection. I should have gone somewhere else!
Updated my rating from 1 star to 3 stars, because they contacted me later to do what’s right. At least that shows they care about my business.

I would definetely recommend this place. I bought 4 tires couple years ago and last week I got a flat tire. I called and speak to Edward and he said I shouldn’t be paying anything for a new tire. I went to Pep Boys Santa Ana branch, they made me pay for $ 63 even though I have the road hazard warranty that I paid before. I called pepboys Norwalk branch and I speak again to Edward, he said just pay it and he will refund everything that I paid. I went to Norwalk the next day and Edward gave my money back.

I really can’t speak other reviewers on here, but everytime I come to this specific location, I always have a great experience. In general, I have never had to deal with attitude or bullsh*** from these guys. No matter, eho I spoke with, they were consistantly reassuring, understanding, and straight up.
This last experience I had made a phone call to see if my tires were still under warranty. I spoke with Ed, who assured me that it should be fine. When I got here, he checked the thread, and told me we were good to go. When it came to pricing of tax and a new warranty, it was a little bit of a pinch for me and without asking, Ed did what he could to help me out with lowering the price while maintianing the road hazard warranty. Definitetly was not expecting this at all.
Point being, everytime I come here, I am reassured that I would be treated right. There has to be a reason why I continue to drive from Monterey Park to this specific location when I need tire work done. Thanks Ed for another. good experience!

Mediocre customer service
I walked into this location wanting to have the tires rotated on my 2013 Honda Accord Sedan and not a full size truck.
Well, the two employees in the waiting room did not welcome me into your facility, lacked any interest in my business, and the waiting room needed house cleaning. I was advised the service would take the entire day on my vehicle. Also, I was informed by the sales representative that he only had one technician scheduled for the entire day. But, before driving away from the parking lot, my husband counted a total of three employees dressed in mechanic outfits in or around the garage area. Las but not least, no options or solution were offered to my situation. For example, an appointment, a return at a later time or let me call another location for you.
I can’t believe a company the size of Pep Boys operates under these poor conditions. Five plus hours for a tire rotation on a simple sedan. Hopefully, you address these issues with your employees. Because, the service at Midas down the street was a five star experience compared to the mediocre service offered at Pep Boys.

Bad news first:
I called the night before to reserve a time to replace a cracked gas pan, yet the next morning I found there was no reservation. Then, they put me on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up and called back. («You left me on hold!» «Oh, oops.») Convinced over the phone to drive in anyways («We’re not busy right now»), I go in to find every bay but one filled. I waited in the lobby for another 15 minutes, where I was ignored by three employees before I walked myself back to the service area and demanded some attention. I told the service manager my problem, but he refused to give me even a vague timetable until my car was in the bay and I committed to an entire afternoon. When I pulled my car into the bay, three dudes watched with their hands in their pockets in total silence until I stopped the car, at which point they said, «You need to back up.»
THEY LITERALLY COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO TAKE THEIR HANDS OUT OF THEIR POCKETS TO TELL ME WHEN TO STOP THE CAR.
When I finally lost it, it was nothing but excuses. «I was in the back, I thought someone had already helped you, I thought it was another call, I thought we would be less busy.» Not one of the four guys there cared at all that they’d given me a morning’s worth of total garbage customer service. No apologies, no effort to assuage my anger in any way. I guess for this Pep Boys, a busy bay means never having to say you’re sorry.
The good news: There are lots of auto shops. Avoid this one.

Went in for help with my brakes and the manager Joey was so extremely helpful and nice! He was very forthright with my problem (apparently I had heat cracking?) and explained it to me so even I could understand!
He gave me a really good deal and the mechanic Juanito, who was delightful did a great job on my car!
I was in and out in less than an hour and a half!
I would recommend this store in a heartbeat!
