Nagoya never lets me down. Fast delicious delivery that comes right to your door with consistency. They even through in a free dessert this order. Nagoya is Norwalk’s best Chinese/Japanese restaurant.

I absolutely LOVE nagoya, every one is so nice and hardworking! They’re a great time and I couldn’t ask for a better hibachi!

Went here for the first time with my best friend recently. We just missed the lunch specials which was a bummer. We ordered a few specialty rolls and they were fine. Not bad, not great. We were the only folks in the restaurant during the post lunch-pre dinner time period. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is quite big, and there is hibachi, though I have not tried it. My friend got miso soup, which she liked, but I didn’t try it. Nagoya has a tough gig, being on the outskirts of downtown SoNo, surrounded by so many great restaurants. Most of those places aren’t really family friendly, but this place definitely is. It’s not a fair comparison, since I only tried a few rolls, but so far, for sushi I prefer Oishi, down the street. But I think bringing family here for hibachi would be fun. The space is so big, you could have a large dinner party with many guests.

I get delivery from this place frequently… at least once/week and sometimes twice. I order a wide variety of sushi every time. The food is good. The rolls aren’t too fancy, but perfect for a night in. The gentleman who delivers is always extremely pleasant to deal with and smiley although he doesn’t speak English. I enjoy him so much that I always tip him way more than I should. Last week, however, I got my sushi from a delivery guy I hadn’t met before. I paid cash, took the bag, and went to close the door to my house when he pushed it open and held it there saying, «Tip, tip.» First of all, I only get delivery when I get home from work really late and am feeling lazy considering they’re not even ¼ mile down the road so he doesn’t have to drive far. Second, I give $ 10 every time no matter what I order. The new delivery guy didn’t seem to think the $ 10 tip in his hand was enough for his 30 second drive. He wouldn’t shut my house door and continued to say, «Tip, tip» and point me upstairs as if I should go get more money to give him. I left to grab more cash so I could get this guy off my door step. I handed him an ADDITIONAL $ 8. It’s a shame that this one experience has skewed my entire perception of the business because the other delivery guy and the food are truly enjoyable. That one demanding and pretty threatening experience, however, forces me not to order from them anymore.

Standard hibachi restaurant with standard prices. Steak is low quality and fried rice is an additional $ 3. Would recommend shrimp hibachi. Didn’t get to try it but there’s also regular Chinese food there(this restaurant is Chinese-owned).

Nagoya is our go-to when we want delivery in Norwalk. They offer both Japanese and Chinese dishes. They are usually pretty quick with delivery and sometimes the food arrives within 30 minutes. However, there’s been a few times when they forget to pack some of the soy and/or hibachi sauces, which leads to a bit of disappointment when I can’t fully enjoy my meal! Aside from that, the food is delicious. I’m very particular about where I order Chinese food from and I like that it is an actual sit down restaurant along with hibachi tables inside.

My boyfriend and I came here after a terrible experience at Local Kitchen in SONO. We usually order take out from Nagoya but eating in is always pleasant. There is usually no crowd but this night there were two parties at the hibachi stations. That was ok. They seemed like they were having so much fun it made us want to have hibachi but we had to catch a movie. The staff is always pleasant and the food is always good. We had the orange chicken, mai fan, and chicken tempura rolls which are not on the menu but they made it for us anyway, the apple martini was very good and they gave us fruit at the end of our meal. I love this place. I hope they stay around. Their Chinese food is a much better quality than the little places in Norwalk.

love the food! in response to the review by «Christina m.», egg drop soup?! that’s Chinese food right? I’m confused as to how you’re complaining«what kind of Chinese place doesn’t have egg drop soup» when it is a JAPANESE restaurant.

Your review I really like this place and order take out from them often. Mongolian shrimp is to die for! I like their sushi too. My only complaint… no egg drop soup! What chinese restaurant doesn’t have egg drop soup? They used to have a corn egg drop that was excellent but has been off the menu for awhile. Bring it back please! I literally am not able to order here if its a night im craving egg drop soup!

I was next door getting a Pedicure, and my friend and I wanted to grab a quick bite so our toes will dry enough before getting in the car. BEST sushi rolls in town! My fave was actually the Shrimp and Chicken Tempura cut rolls. Staff was nice and attentive. Will come back with my husband next time, just for the chicken tempura alone!

Had to write this review mid-bite I was so pleased. I ordered delivery. Two beautifully made sushi rolls(crazy tuna roll was to die for) and crispy beef. The delivery came quicker than expected and the beef was crisped to perfection! My only complaint is not enough rice but that’s an easy fix. First truly crispy beef I’ve had in town so far and will definitely be dining in soon!

Nagoya is awesome! Friendly and attentive staff, and fairly consistent food. Portions used to be larger but are still very generous. The chefs are engaging and fun if you’re coming for a hibachi experience. It’s never overly crowded in here, very comfortable and clean atmosphere.

Had late lunch here. I ordered Kani salad to start, tasted like mayo and crab with little flavor and served over shredded lettuce. Not so good although the portion was big enough to share as an appetizer. Next was the curry noodle soup. Look out, huge bowl and packs some heat but good. Sushi was pretty good but I really don’t know if I’ll be back. Just didn’t have the flavor and freshness some of the other local stop do. Prices are pretty reasonable.

The sushi at Nagoya is par excellence, fresh, precise and well prepared. We ordered many dishes, and except for the sushi they were overcooked or lacking flavor. My hot and sour soup tasted burnt, maybe reheated to many times. The wontons in our soup were like glue with pork meat! The garlic shrimp very overcooked, reducing them to chewing on rubber. But the eel and avocado, shrimp tempura sushi, spicy crab were perfect. Maybe it’s time to replace the chef in the back. This was a Friday nite, the place was almost empty except for a few folks at the sushi bar. A drunk sat behind us, asking us to pay for his dinner. They let a waitress try to get this man out of the restaurant. My husband and son had their back to this maniac. Not the best dining experience I’ve encountered!!!

It is so far the most delicious japanese food I had. The rolls are amazing, well done and diferent. I couldnt find nothing like those in another restaurant. They have stuff with mango, and spicy… it’s just supper cool rolls. They are a little priced, but I think the good food is worth. I never had problems with my take out, but I usually just go there to eat. The Hibachi is really cool as well. The only problem with this place is the service. The waitress are so rude, they pretty much throw the menu on your table. You have to repeat at least 3 times your order cause some of them doesnt seem understand english very much, which is understandable to me, but they are just not that nice about it. But I keep going always I can, for that food… I don’t really care about the staff!!!

I used to love this place, but it has been going down hill lately, Half of my orders are always wrong and my brother is crazy allergic to shrimps so every time I order take out I let the people to know to avoid any trouble they sent shrimp dumplings five time already and Its such a hassle now that I just stop ordering there, also the kinda pricey

I really, really want Nagoya to be the Japanese restaurant of my Norwalk dreams, but it is not. Hot/Cold service and food that ranges from great to passable make this a difficult choice on a regular basis.
