Good for takeout. Online ordering and service were fast and good. Portion sizes good. Not the best Chinese in town, but not the most expensive either, and the food is tasty.

I put in an order for pick-up and they were suppose to be open till 9:30pm. My order was cancelled because they closed at 8:00pm instead. Poor communication.

Ever since I was attending Cerritos College I have been a big fan of this place. It actually changed its name, or was bought out. I am just glad that the Chef seems to be the same one still cooking for this place because the food is DELICIOUS!!! Oh yes, you will get your money’s worth of delicious Chinese Food here! The dishes are prepared fresh and they season all their dishes just right. Want a deal? Go during the lunch time hours and usually they have lunch specials going on! Trust me, you will not regret going to this restaurant and like me, you’ll be a regular too!

I am really happy with Hong Kong China Food! First time going, I ordered Chicken Chow mein for lunch to go… really good, BIGPORTIONS, and friendly workers… I will be coming back. Me and my boyfriend got chowmein to share and there are left overs… what more can you ask for? They had a stack of these cards at the front desks… took a few to pass out and hopefully you’ll benefit too!

This place arbitrarily decided to deny serving me the lunch special that I’ve ordered on multiple occasions. I’ve come in more than five times and ordered the same lunch special every time. However this time they decided that they weren’t going to serve me or the lunch special I’ve always ordered. After refusing to take my order, the waiter proceeded to walk away and take the orders of other groups who arrived after I did and serve them drinks. I was ignored. I will never return to this place and advise that you do not either as they are disrespectful to customers and do not deserve your business.

The food here is pretty good. I like it. But what makes it special is the service. Super nice and friendly. Complimentary chips and oranges, they serve the wonton soup for you, which is pretty darn good by the way. Their chow mien is what stood out the most, it has a very different seasoning on it than what I’m used too. My favorite dish I tried here. The portion are very generous I had to take mines to go, and I rarely do that especially with Chinese food. Prices are very reasonable. I was looking at urban chopsticks near by but saw their prices and said he’ll no I’m not paying 11 $ for some rice. Parking lot is very convenient. Definitely bring your family to have dinner here, in fact they encourage it with there free order of a item if you order over 30 at dinner time.

Customer service was great. Combination Chow Mein was fresh and tasty. Shrimp fried rice was perfect. Appetizer fried shrimp was good, but could have been better. I bit undercooked(next time I’ll ask to cook the shrimp longer). I will be back. Found this little location through Unilocal. Thanks Unilocal

Very disappointing. I was staying at the double tree. Ordered food and soup. Food came with no rice or utensil. Called the store, they told me my rice and utensils would be sent right out. I waited two hours and they never came. I did not get to eat my dinner. I am out $ 26. They lied to me . Very disappointing !!!

Our first time ordering food here, we used the EAT24 app. Delivery was timely(though the owner delivered, and called me from the curb to have me meet him at the car — a little tacky), the food was pretty good, and we were generally satisfied. However, the second time we decided to eat at the restaurant. Upon walking in, we noticed that it has a B rating. Since we liked the food well enough the first time, we decided to give it a try anyway. We had a Chinese student living with us who told us the food tasted very much like what he was used to at home. The service was okay, the restaurant could have been cleaner, and the décor was very outdated. Overall we weren’t impressed enough to ever visit the restaurant again. Tonight, we decided to order through the EAT24 app again. I AMSOTHANKFULWEDIDITTHROUGHTHEAPP, ANDDIDN’T CALLTHERESTAURANTDIRECTLY!(EAT24 took great care of us!) It was a really bad experience. First, we waited a very long time for the food. When it was delivered, we were missing an item from our order. We caught the delivery driver, and he looked at the order with us. It was very obvious they had completely skipped the first item on the printed out order(all the others were crossed off and written next to, and this one had no writing). He said he would go back for us and talk to the restaurant and get it straightened out and ask them to throw in something extra for us. Since it was the potstickers we were missing, we said that was very nice of him and if they were willing to toss in something extra they could just add a few more potstickers to our order. The second delivery of the missing items arrived just as we were finishing our meal. I joked and said it was just in time for dessert. What we tasted was the furthest thing from dessert you could possibly imagine. There was something rancid about the potstickers. It seemed like the oil was bad, or the filling in the potstickers had turned. My husband, myself, and the Chinese student living with us all decided that it was terrible. So now we were stuck with a ton of potstickers that nobody would eat.(The restaurant was very courteous and doubled the order of potstickers, which was very generous. However since they were disgusting, it didn’t really do much to improve our opinion of them.) We probably still would have ordered from this restaurant again(sans potstickers) if that were the end of the story. However, a few minutes later I found a hair in my orange chicken. I had that moment of «could this be my hair?» However, my hair is very long, and my husband’s is very short. This hair was of average length. I knew that the customer service from EAT24 was very good, so I contacted them after we were done with our dinner. They were very courteous, and immediately refunded the potstickers. They asked for a picture of the hair in the orange chicken, and after I sent it to them they refunded the orange chicken as well. When I went back to our container of orange chicken, I noticed a second hair sitting there in the box under some of the uneaten orange chicken. At that point, I knew there was no way the hair came from any of us. While I was chatting with the EAT24 customer service, I received a call from the restaurant directly. They offered to credit me the price of the potstickers toward my next purchase from them, but I let them know we will never be dining there again and that EAT24 was taking care of a refund for me. I agree with all the reviews that say the customer service is very good. The owners and staff are very courteous, and the steps they took to right the situation would have satisfied me if there were not health concerns. The B rating, the rancid potstickers, and the hair in the food is enough for me to say I will never eat there again. There are plenty of other Chinese food places for me to try, so Hong Kong China Food will never have any of my business ever again.

Delicious food, serves a reasonable amount, very clean place and great customer service. But I give it 4 stars because the place is very hidden and hard to find.

I would give the service a 5 star review– the lady who took my order had great customer service skills, and even offered me water while I waited for my to-go order. The food however, gets 1 star. I ordered the lunch special: orange chicken and fried rice. The orange chicken is VERYDRY. I’m not even sure if it is fresh chicken– maybe day old… I was craving some fried rice, but just got rice tossed in soy sauce. No egg, no pea, no carrots.

I’m at work and i’m craving egg flower soup. Unilocal says this place has it, and it’s good. I’m sold! Then I see this place has a B health rating… hmmm. I decide to go for it, OC doesn’t have health ratings, who knows what I have eaten in the past. My coworker and I got there at 2pm and there were a couple other people in there. It was a really hot day, and their a/c barely worked. I would have liked it to be cooler in there. The lunch specials are so cheap! I got beef & broccoli with fried rice, and egg roll, and a cup of egg flower soup for $ 5.50! And the portion was very large. My coworker ordered the beef & garlic. We also both got Thai iced teas. The teas were great, not too sweet. The food was up really quickly and it all tasted super good! Everything was served piping hot, in fact the egg roll was too hot to eat and we had to save them for the end. The servers were nice and friendly. Good, cheap place for quick Chinese. I will probably order to go and bring some home sometime.

I went here tonight for the first time and it was awesome. Super friendly people that work here, it was a man and woman I don’t know if their the owners or something but they were nice and you just feel better when the service is really good. We ordered the fried rice and orange chicken. It fed my bf and me. The orange chicken tasted like real chicken. It had white meat and tasted healthy. It had sauces so it wasn’t so healthy but it tasted better than most Chinese places. The main thing to me was that it tasted like chicken and wasn’t super chewy. The fried rice was moist and fresh not dry and nasty. It seems legit because they offered tea and it reminded me of some Chinese restaurants from San Fran. I got that vibe. They have little lunch and dinner cards you can bring each time and on the 10th one your meal is free. Pretty cool way to keep people coming back and it’s close to the 605 fwy and cerritos college. Parking is plenty in the front and the dress code is anything you like. You could wear a uniform like scrubs or school clothes and it’ll be fine. I will come back and try other items on the menu they have so many items and for 2 people 2 items was more then enough. Price was great too. Since im a college student, it was budget friendly.
