Bark Busters – Mike the Dog Trainer

We just saw Michael yesterday and what an amazing difference we saw in our 6 month old dog, Darcy. She’s already about 60lbs and a challenge to handle, but he gave us the tools we needed to work with her, rather than Darcy running the show. I’m so happy and relieved considering that she’s still young and only going to get bigger. We practiced later in the evening after seeing Mike and this morning, and already she’s following my lead, stopped jumping on me and my son, she even relaxed in the kitchen outside of her kennel while we had dinner! That’s something we couldn’t do at all before. I’m really excited to continue working with Michael. Well worth it!

My girlfriend and I just moved into an apartment from a house. Our dog, Casey, was not handling the adjustment well. He was very timid and wary when outside. Walks were not fun and potty time didn’t happen except inside the apartment (he was house broken in the Maine home but the rules went out the window when we moved). We went through two weeks of drama before finding Mike from Bark Busters. He helped us understand how to work with Casey and help him adjust. We had a different dog in just one lesson and Mike gave us homework to do. Everything Mike suggested has worked! Casey is much happier and adjusting great. He’s back to potty time outside and walks are much more enjoyable for both of us. Casey has a much better quality of life and we have our sanity back. I learned more in a few weeks with Mike than I have learned in years of dog ownership.
Mike is the top dog trainer in Connecticut as far as we’re concerned. We found Mike by simply asking our phone «who is the best dog trainer in CT» and the phone searched and we got his number. I don’t normally write reviews and rarely give top marks but Mike the Dog Trainer is fantastic. If you are reading this review and need a trainer, do yourself a favor and call Mike.

Mike is a miracle worker. Our dog Sammy was barking his face off at anyone near our house, the TV, us, you name it. Mike showed us how Sammy felt the need to protect us and be in charge. We had allowed him to feel like he needed to be in control because we were not. Mike showed us how to reverse those roles and become the leader of our pack and allow Sammy to «retire» from his post. Our lives have done a 180 including Sam’s life. You have to do your homework but it’s easy. I was so impressed with Mike and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He has made our home a much happier place for all 3 of us! Thanks Mike! We are forever grateful!

I recently rescued a Chihuahua. He was a really sweet dog once he got to know you, but I was feeling very overwhelmed and concerned because he would get uncontrollable if someone he didn’t know was near. My other Chihuahua started picking up on his behaviors and both of them were more than a handful. I don’t know what I would have done without Mike’s help! He really helped me learn why both dogs were acting the way they did and what I could do to get them to stop. Within one visit both dogs were acting so much better in general and with each other.
