The Lake campground is family campground and recreation swim park. We offer seasonal and monthly campsites. We also have a swim park that features a 6 acre swim lake with inflatable water activities, diving boards, sliding boards, water volley ball and basketball. We also offer mini-​golf, disc golf, playgrounds, volley ball, basketball, tennis courts and a batting cage. We have clean restroom. We have a great concessions stand and a camp store. You can buy seasonal memberships to the swim park. The Lake has been providing family fun in the Akron area since 1955. Bring your family and join the fun this summer!

History

Established in 1955.

In 1955 Bob Emery and his wife Darlene bought the property in the Norton area and transformed it into what would become known as Loyal Oak Lake Park. They put in water slides and div­ing platforms of different heights on the spring-​fed lake for park visitors of various ages. They also added teeter-​totters, swings and other playground equipment on the sur­rounding land to keep kids occupied. Partygoers of all ages enjoyed the tennis, horse­shoe and basketball courts, arcade games, ping-​pong tables and the baseball field.
