Norton Piano School offers piano lessons to students of all ages, from beginning to advanced levels. Whether you have never played the piano, had lessons for a while but quit, or are studying currently, you can set up a trial lesson with Nathan Johnson today to explore your abilities and develop your skills at the piano.

History

Established in 1996.

Nathan Johnson has been teaching piano lessons for over 15 years. During that time, he has seen hundreds of students discover their ability to take on challenges and succeed in performance and practice goals. His students have placed in the National Federation of Music Clubs, Joy Robin, and SummerArts piano competitions.

Nathan has been a guest soloist with the Utah Symphony, the Utah Philharmonia, the New America Symphony, the American West Symphony, and the Murray Symphony. He hasplayedin France and Belgium, where he performedfor NATO officials as well as government dignitaries from Russia and the Ukraine. In Salt Lake

Nathan has won state and national competitions, including the Greater Spokane and Allied Arts Music Festival, The UMTA state concerto competition, the SummerArts piano competition, The Lowell Farr collaborative piano competition, and the University of Utah concerto competition. While in high school, he was the recipient of the Semper Fidelis and Sterling Scholar awards for music. Studying with Dr. Vedrana Subotic, he completed a Master of Music degree in piano performance at the University of Utah where he was awarded the Tracy, New Music Ensemble, Golden Spike, Solveig Madsen Lunde, and Fine Arts Advisory Board Scholarships.
