I love this place, great way to spend sometime enjoying the different wines. The donuts are amazing as well!

I first came here during a Unilocal cider mill crawl. Of the places we went to, this was my favorite donut, though it also appeared to be the most expensive. Their donuts are more cake like, but had more flavor. This was the only mill we went to that had an actual bathroom, however, they also only sold things that were displayed behind the cashier counter(i.e., hard to really see what they had or read ingredients or such upclose). This location also seemed like it had less stuff for children, though there was a smaller playground with a wooden train that seemed to be sufficient for the kids there. If you wander to the otherside of the parking lot though, you can get your entertainment by the entourage of ducks around, and its a scenic area by a tiny brook/river. Looks like the employees throw unwanted donuts by the dozens, to feed the ducks. What some adults may like is that on the otherside of the place, is a smaller building where you can purchase some local wines/ciders/etc to sample.

The best donuts by far! Get the spiced ones and a hot apple cider or a cider slush! They also have the«Nothville Winery» on the property where they sell their hard cider and sometimes have live music!

I’ve been to many cider mills and this one isn’t the most spectacular but, it gets the job done. Its not an orchard so there’s only the cider mill and a fun looking playground for the kiddies to play on. It has a river on the property that is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your cider doughnuts while feeding the ducks. Their cider and doughnuts were average in my book. Their winery tasting room is pretty small so, going when there’s not a crowd is essential. The wines and brews were delicious though and the flights are reasonably priced.

They have some of the best spiced cider donuts around! Unfortunately there’s no petting zoo but they do have some cute little ducks and a pond area where you can sit to enjoy your donuts. The cider however isn’t my favorite. It kind of has an aftertaste of hose water? Do come for donuts but head up the street for you cider :)

As far as doughnuts go, their spice doughnuts are my favorite doughnuts of all time. They’re soft, fluffy, and flavorful, with a beautiful coating of cinnamon and sugar. Worth the twenty five minute drive to get there(with two other cider molds closer to home). The cider is also always delicious, and for those who drink wine and/or beer, there is a reputable winery on site, as well as a new brewery. The kids will have fun playing on the wooden play structures and feeding the ducks who stay on property until Parmenter’s closes for Winter. Why do the ducks such around after it’s already cold? Because the cider mill will give you free«duck doughnuts»(the mistakes of the daily batches) to feed the ducks. They are open until the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Great location close to downtown northville. I came here in the fall hoping to get some cider and donuts however it was so packed that I could not. The line for cider and donuts was an hour long! That was ok since they have a hard cider mill next door. They make wonderful hard cider, one was a burbon barrel cider that was my favorite. They also had a slushie made from their blueberry cider which was sweet and cold.

This was our 3rd stop on the Unilocal3rd Annual Cider Mill Crawl. They did have the best Cider of the day, but weren’t a real apple orchard with trees and all. The Spice Donuts were good, however I would rate them last of our CMC event. The Winery was very popular and they did have the only real bathrooms on the trip. The line for Cider and Donuts seemed to be the least organized and slow of our stops as well. The surprising feature of the day seemed to be the wild ducks, who entertained by their waddling antics to get to the tasty treats that were shared by the Unilocal Team before our departure.

This place is not as crowded as the other cider mills, it seems, which is a huge bonus. They have slushy cider, Carmel apples, and donuts. For those that don’t want all that I’ve just mentioned they also have wine sampling and I’m pretty sure beer sampling. It is a place for kids to play around but I’m not sure it has a long walking trail like some other mills may have. Parking could be an issue as i feel it’s pretty small.

Ok– they have pretty good cider and the spiced donuts are good. Kind of higher prices as you would expect from a specialty seasonal type thing. The lines are usually pretty long but they move reasonably quickly. They have some wooden structures for young kids to play and various stands from different folks selling different things. I like that it is really close to town. doesnt feel as much like a quintessential fall experience though given no apple orchards on site and literally no pumpkins around the week before Halloween. But the cider and donuts are good.

So what is hott and cool up in Michigan? Cider Mills! These are what you do in the winter, summer, fall, you name it these places have lines out the door at 2PM on a Wednesday! The apple cider is excellent and the donuts are not gluten-free BOOHOO but the fudge hut has some of the best fudge ever. You park, get out, get in line and wait about 20 – 30 minutes and smell the intense smells of apples, fudge, and cinnamon omg smells excellent. Tell the cashiers what you want and bam good to go. Only problem I have with this cider mill is the fact they have literally 0 business sense… the lines, placement and entire business model is pretty bad. I could totally re-arrange this layout, add more flavors or cinnamon, hot cider, pumpkin cider, etc… It’s all super basic and their prices are really cheap. I’m pretty sure I could turn this into a million dollar a year to a ten million dollar a year business, but none the less it’s vintage, old, and a little dated. However the cider is excellent, and the fudge is great. Maybe one day they will have gluten-free donuts. The winery is absolute shit, the room is super small, the bar is in the very back in a corner and impossible to get to and try an order cider from. The bartender was great however. I wish they could expand the size of that bar and bank out some money. But none the less for my first cider mill this place was pretty elite and smelt amazing, don’t swat all the honey bees! Also check out the duck pond in the back.

LOVETHISPLACE!!! Although I do miss the actual orchard part of a cider mill, the fabulous flavors and fall smells cannot be beat!!! We had to stop in to sample the fall fare but also to stop in the winery to visit with Jody! Jody is the best host and surely knows his stuff! He will introduce you to some tasty adult bevies!!! When we visited the winery, it was yet another family visit… so all 7 of us sampled a 6 glass flight(now $ 11). Each sample was very pleasing, which is surprising for me because generally I am not a sweet cider/wine drinker! With the special variety they have, you are sure to find something you love!!! My sister and I love winery and brewery shirts… they have ADORABLE girl cut shirts for only $ 16 each! We walked out with the same shirts– smiley and giggly… looking like twins… WELOVETHISPLACE

Been several times and it’s normally okay at best. Think they get a state credit for hiring practices because workers are so slow. Today after waiting 30 min in line they ran out of cider??? Lame and to stupid not to post sign or bother to tell anyone waiting that the cider mill doesn’t have cider today. It’s a weekday in the middle of the day mind you. Will avoid and buy better tasting half the price 10 min down road from now on.

Their fresh cider is very tasty! I had the donuts, plain and cinnamon sugar and both are delicious! I also bought Apple butter but I haven’t gotten to it yet. But I was most impressed on how fast they got the line moving and people served on a very busy Sunday afternoon. I guess everyone had the same idea. Place was east to get to and had enough parking. Definitely would go back to! Great job Parmenter’s!

While I prefer visiting an actual orchard for my cider and donut needs, Parmenter’s is a perfect alternative if you don’t have time to head out to one. There was a long line out the door on the Saturday afternoon that we visited, but it moved pretty darn fast. I liked that there was plenty of space on their grounds to sit and enjoy your treats. Some people sat on benches, others at picnic tables, and some brought their own blankets and laid in the grass. I have to say, their donuts are probably amongst my favorite. The spiced donut is sugary and spiced with a light cake texture. Bonus is their cider is cold pasteurized in case that’s your thing.

This is the BEST cider! I have tried many, but this tastes so good and so fresh. It has the depth and taste of true apple cider. I have been coming to Parmenter’s since I was a small child, before the fire changed it’s appearance. It still have the charm, the flavor and the fun it always has had. Yes, there are sometimes lines, especially on nice days, but they go quick and the service is friendly! Other items of special interest are the spiced donuts! Fabulous, soft, excellent spice blend, and fresh all the time. A new favorite are the spiced donut chips! A great way to repurpose the donuts to a different form. The apples, sliced, with caramel are another great item. I see they have apple cider slush, but haven’t sampled it yet. Lots of people ordering them, though. A tip, watch out for the bees! They don’t seem to want to be aggressive, but they do like the sweets that are all around and there are a lot of them. The cider mill usually closes just before Thanksgiving. So, there is plenty of time to get some! The cider will freeze if you want to keep some around for the holidays! There is also a winery on site that holds wine tastings. Check out their website. Highly recommend Parmenter’s!

Probably the best spice donuts around! Cider slush was to die for. I actually ended up dropping mine after going insane w. All the bees around me. And the lady inside was sweet enough to not charge me for another! Prices are pretty decent as well. ½ Gallon of cider, 12 Donuts & a cider slush was about 17 – 18 $. Cute decorative atmosphere and I believe the decorations are for sale as well. I stopped in pretty early in September & there was no line but a good amount of ppl already! Can’t wait to come back!

I discovered Parmenter’s during Unilocal’s Cider Mill Crawl in 2013. My review is mostly about the winery, because I’m all about the tasty adult beverages. They offer flights of six samples for only $ 7! Their samples can include hard cider, white and red wines and a couple beers. It all just depends on their stock on the day you visit. In addition to flights, you can get individual samples for $ 1.25, or a full glass for around $ 5. They offer peanuts for $ 1, and a cheese and cracker plate for $ 8. You can pay using cash or a credit card via Square reader. If you like trying new wines and ciders, then Northville is a great place to visit. I normally avoid cider mill crowds, but I’ll happily visit this place every weekend as long as they keep the samples flowing. The winery operates in its own building, away from the cider mill(and the long lines that come with it!). The space is a little cramped, and they’d be smart to add a couple more tables for people who like to hang around. Otherwise, it’s top-notch.
