Sheri’s Corner

My son has been with Sheri for just over a year, since he was 4 months old, and I am so happy we found her! The boy has an amazing time there and has developed great social skills. Sheri and Henry are obviously very caring and treat all the kids as their own. If we have another kid, we will definitely trust Sheri with our day care needs again.

As with any other parent, we set out to find the best day care facility for our precious little one. Sheri’s place is indeed a hidden treasure in the Valley! We have visited so many facilities in and around the Valley and in fact, our little one did spend some time at another facility. However, I have to say that the difference that we have felt ever since she started going to Sheri is like night and day! Sheri is a genuinely caring and nurturing wonderful person and our little girl loves it there. All the other parents are very friendly and the kids are little angels! She gets excited as soon as we drive up to her house and what more could a parent ask for! It gives us so much peace of mind knowing that our little girl is happy and safe with her friends. Sheri and Henry have created such an enriching environment for the kids that our little girl seems to learn something new every day.
We absolutely love the little notes that Sheri sends home every day, detailing the fun that they had on that day! Then there are the little drawings, the cute little craft things that they make… love the little budding artists! Sheri takes tons of pictures every now and then and the families have access to these pictures. We can’t wait to see those precious moments and they are absolutely adorable! Sheri and Henry have the most wonderful perspective of life and we enjoy our conversations with them every day! We know that we have made a friendship for life and hands-​down, this place is indeed a home away from home for our little girl. Definitely a blessing for any parent!

My 20 month old son has been with Sheri consistently for about 7 months. And part time before that since he was about 6 months old. I waited as patiently as possible to get him in with them full time for what felt like forever, and now that he is in, I would do anything to keep his spot. They are not only the sweetest people you will ever meet, but out of the billion and one facilities I have gone to look at throughout the valley, Sheri’s Corner remains the cleanest and most child friendly daycare I have ever seen. Sheri is committed to putting her whole heart into the growth and development of your children. She has the greatest outlook on life and takes in children as if they are her own. My son has a case of what I like to call «mom-​itis» and usually I am the only one he wants 100% of the time. And while at first he was skeptical about me leaving him, in no time he was practically jumping into Sheri’s arms to go and play for the day. She has truly been my lifesaver when it comes to the care and comfort of my baby, and I could never thank her enough for all that she has done for us.

I highly recommend Sheri’s Corner! Our daughter has been going to Sheri’s Corner for the last year and we couldn’t be happier with the care that Sheri and Henry provide. We toured a number of facilities before finding Sheri’s Corner and none even came close to the type environment that Sheri provides. Sheri’s is such a caring, nurturing, loving, and clean daycare; our daughter absolutely loves it there! Sheri is amazing with the children and even better with the parents. She communicates clearly and often with parents and provides daily letters home about our little one’s day. Sheri is the best!

My children were one of Sheri’s first. I can not say enough about the love and care she provides the kids. She is encouraging and the kids always leave feeling empowered and loved. The place is immaculate and they were always accommodating to our needs. I have recommended her to several families. I think this is the best kept secret in the valley. High quality care at a very affordable price. Thanks to Sheri and Henry I was always able to leave my kids and know that they were in the best of hands.

I have my masters in Early Childhood Education, so finding a place for my daughter was extremely challenging. We spent some months at a mediocre daycare. When we finally found Sheri’s, I knew we had found the right place for our family. The difference between the two finally had my husband understanding what I meant when I was insisting we needed better for our child.
Sheri actually knows child development, so everything she does is deliberate-​to nap routines, sensory play and all activities she let’s children explore, to the way she talks with the children. While I miss my little one dearly when I leave her, I have no qualms Sheri and Henry take the best possible care of her. Sheri is extremely open and communicative. I love the letters she sends home every day-​so while I’m not with my daughter I have a sense of what she is doing. Thank you, thank you!

My daughter has been going to Sheri’s corner for 6 months now and it’s amazing how much she has developed. Just like any other mom I searched for the best care for my little girl and Sheri’s Corner was it! It’s always so clean, there isn’t a TV, and the kids are all well behaved thanks to the love and care they receive from Sheri and Henry. They create a wonderful learning and developing environment for all the different ages of kids; and foster a respectful, fun, imaginative place for my daughter to learn and grow at here pace. Sheri is so easy to deal with and always has a smile on her face. You can tell that she loves what she does and most importantly loves the kids she cares for. She has also giving me great parenting advice as I have had to adjust to a move, new baby and new child care all at the same time. There is nothing but love in this place and that’s why all the kids thrive and are so happy to be there. Really gives me a piece of mind as a working mother of two.

I would NOT recommend this daycare. The woman who runs it is incredibly unreliable. My son went there for 2+ years. In hindsight, I’m not sure how we survived! Sheri frequently sent emails at 7am closing for the (same) day. With working parents who rely on you to care for their children, this is simply unacceptable. I would give zero stars if possible.

Up until a few days ago this would’ve been a 5 star review but in light of recent events I would give 0 if possible. Our son had been going there off and on for 3.5 years and always had a lot of fun. (There was no structured play like circle time, story time etc but who expects that from a day care?) We were relieved to know our daughter would receive the same care he did when she would start next month. Unfortunately, though we were assured our spot was saved, it was given away 3 weeks before I am to return to work which has basically screwed us. The reason given was I expressed a desire to stay home (what parent doesn’t) and they needed the money. Instead of calling to confirm we were still starting or asking us to start paying for the spot for them to hold it they filled the spot and sent us an email apologizing. So much for being a part of the «family» they like to speak of. I would rather not be a part of a family that treats each other that way.

Since my manifesto about how amazing Sheri’s Corner was accidently deleted, I will attempt to summarize it… Our son has been at Sheri’s Corner for 5 months and it has been an unbelievable experience. He ran from our car to their front door his second day– couldn’t wait to see his new friends! I knew in that single moment, we won the lottery.
The quality of care my son and the other children receive is undeniable. Regardless of the time of day or unexpected drop-​ins, the children are always HAPPY, smiling, exploring, laughing, playing, and are engaged with each other and Sheri/​Henry. Sheri and Henry are on the floor with the children playing with them and are present at all times. The children always come first and it shows. It should also be mentioned that the house/​toys are exceptionally clean.
Don’t expect to find your kids sitting in front of a T.V. zoning out to mind-​numbing cartoons/​shows (they do not even have a T.V. in their child-​converted areas) or left to their own devices without much supervision. Your kids will actively participate in developmentally appropriate games/​activities every waking moment they are there. Their developmental domains are targeted non-​stop such as: cognition (e.g., thinking and organizing the systems of the mind, which involves language, mental imagery, thinking, reasoning, problem solving, cause & effect, formulating questions, and memory development; this is not an automatic process– it MUST be learned.), social-​emotional, language– both receptive (i.e., what a child understands) and expressive (i.e., what a child verbalizes), fine motor (e.g., small muscle movements of the hand/​fingers and hand-​eye coordination), gross motor (e.g., large muscle movements), and self-​help/​adaptive.
The children also regularly participate in sensory play that engages the 5 senses– our son loved painting with pudding and then being able to eat it! He is read to throughout the day, learns songs and dances, does dramatic play with his friends (e.g., doctor, dentist, grocery store, talent show, restaurant, car wash, salon, etc.), and the best part of all… he and the other little angles are LOVED and held. Your child will be given individual attention from the moment he/​she steps foot through their door until they say their good-​byes when they are picked up. There is a reason Sheri keeps the amount of children enrolled low– so each child will be given personal attention/​care. Sheri and her husband have an exquisite eye for detail that is unsurpassed as they understand each child’s specific needs as well as every parent’s individual concern (s).
Our son has thrived and excelled the past 5 months. He oozes self-​confidence and is always happy/​smiling. All of the children and their parents are amazing and it is an honor to be part of this group. We talk about all of our friends and «nana» Sheri and «papa» Henry all the time. My only regret… not knowing about Sheri’s Corner when my older daughter was little.

Sheri came very highly recommended by coworkers, and we have not been disappointed. Our newborn daughter has been going to Sheri’s for a couple of months now and we couldn’t be more impressed and we couldn’t be any happier. Sheri and Henry both create such a loving, nurturing, caring, friendly, and clean environment that we are so happy our daughter can be a part of. They create such a great atmosphere for the children to play, to learn, and to grow. We would recommend Sheri and Henry to anyone who is looking for a great environment for their children to thrive. We are looking forward to our daughter’s growth, and looking forward to sending our future children here.

. Clean, loving, nurturing, respectful. Sheri makes me feel like my child is loved like her own. So happy, wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Check it out. This is an amazing facility.

Our daughter has been going to Sheri’s now for 6+ months. Sheri does a great job wrangling and teaching the kids. Our 18 month old daughter feels at home at Sheri’s. Her friends and her have tons of fun. Sheri’s is just not a ‘daycare’, but lets the kids learn by doing and playing. We could not have found a better daycare if it smacked us in the face. Thanks Sheri and Henry for your hard work watching over our prized possessions.

So my son Jaxon has been at Sheri’s for around 2 years now. From the day we went to visit I have loved it. He has fallen in Love with everyone there. I never thought about the day that he would leave and go to Pre-​School. Well, that time has come. Jaxon’s life has truly been enhanced by being at Sheri’s Corner. We will forever be connected. And that doesn’t happen at just some run of the mill place. If you are looking, it will stop at Sheri’s Corner!!!

After looking far and wide for a child care provider for my daughter, I was lucky enough to find Sheri’s Corner. I knew as soon as I walked in to her facility that it was a beautiful, safe environment. What I came to understand as the weeks and months passed, was that Sheri has an amazing gift with babies and young children. The kids in her home are relaxed, happy, and excited to be there.
Initially, my daughter came here for intermittent care when her pre-​school was closed. I immediately noticed a drastic change in her demeanor on the days she was at Sheri’s. When she’d come home, she seemed to stand up taller, had fewer tantrums, and she was more verbal. She was more capable at home, more willing to help and cooperate. As time passed, I made the decision to remove my daughter from her local preschool entirely and put her in Sheri’s for full time care because I found that she was so much happier on the days she went to Sheri’s. I have had no regrets, and only wish that I’d found Sheri’s corner sooner.
I recommend Sheri’s Corner whole-​heartedly. She is an amazing woman with so much to offer to local families.

Sheri is amazing. Not only does my son go there and has been for a year now but I ask her parenting advice all the time. I respect her so much and always feel 100% comfortable leaving my child there. Sheri’s corner is a jackpot! Love it.

Sheri’s corner is a safe, loving, and warm environment. They have been caring for my child since 3 months old. He is now 18 months. The children participate in arts & crafts, music, outdoor play, reading, cooking and many other activities. Sheri’s corner is #1! They treat the children as their own. I would not trust anyone else with my child. Highly recommend!

Sheri of Sheri’s Corner is the most amazing caregiver and teacher of young children. She is loving, understanding, encouraging and patient! Every child thrives in this environment. The home is clean and safe and there are lots of toys and even a tiny bathroom just right for the children. You will love Sheri’s Corner!

Sheri was my youngest daughter’s per school teacher many years ago and I was lucky to have her take care of my grandson until recently. She is natural and very nurturing with children and has a loving and patient attitude. I hope she will be able to take careof my next grandchild.
