Red Persimmon Nail and Spa

I’ve been to this salon twice and both times I’ve left unsatisfied. The first time I came I was with a friend and I was in dire need of a pedicure to remove my ingrown. I asked the lady if she knew how to remove them and she said yes. Not even 5min later she stabs me with the cuticle nipper in an attempt to remove my ingrown. Pedicure done 1 week later polish is chipped. I came back not too long ago to get a Mani pedi and I get a pedicure package because why not. The package included a callus remover which she did at the very end, didn’t wrap it to let it set and literally took it off 10 seconds after applying it to my feet. Didn’t even scrub the appropriate amount of time. Not to mention that this place does not use cuticle softener. The guy doing my nails said the owner doesn’t provide it! Wtf?! I also had to make him redo my manicure because there was still a lot of cuticle left. Thankfully he didn’t mind or give me attitude. It’s been a week and the polish on my toes chipped off. I had to remove it only to find that I still had all my cuticle on my toes. Never again will I set foot on this shop

I went to this salon because I happened to be at this mall! I didn’t read the reviews until I was already getting my nails done. The ladies weren’t friendly! Got a pedi and a fill! I always get gel polish! So I asked for gel polish. 2 of them were working on me at the same time then my fill lady got up and left for like 15 minutes, didn’t say a word! Anyways, the pedi was done first and I noticed she was using this polish that looked like the Sally Hansen’s gel polish they have at Target! I waited to see if maybe they would cure the gel and she didn’t. She let it dry and added a top coat!!! I was so upset! I couldn’t believe it. So I told the lady doing my nails that I changed my mind and wanted nail polish on my nails instead of gel (I wasnt going to pay extra for fake bootleg ass gel)! She said why? It’s the same thing. I told her no I want polish. One week later here I am with chipped «gel» toes but my nail polish is doing ok! I can’t believe these people! Never going back!

DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE. Quite literally the worst nail place ever. I was cut twice and when I paid it was $ 27 I paid $ 40 and got $ 13 back. I asked for 5’s and he said he didn’t have any nor enough 1’s so I felt obligated to tip the $ 10 when in reality I should have left the $ 3 or none. Elizabeth ALWAYS does my eyebrows so perfectly! She takes her time and always makes sure I walk out happy with my brows. I seriously don’t trust anyone else with my eyebrows other than her. I’ve been coming to her for years and I always leave very happy! She’s simply the best.

I went there on saturday late afternoon, I waited 45 mins, they were understaffed. I just wanted a regular manicure, their color selection is limited they have a lot of different shades of pink but that’s about it for your options. The place could definitely be cleaner. And my mani looks like I did it which is a bad sign. Also started chipping the next day.

Horrible service; they have been getting sloppier and sloppier. The guy doing my nails left some long and short and when I went to correct him he didn’t do anything about it I had to basically do it myself while he did another client who he knew. After that I went and got my own nail color and started painting my own nails ! And he still charged me 17 dollars for a fill when I payed 22 before to get them done and he then changed prices on other people. Pathetic honestly. I’m paying for a service. Not for free. Not coming here again ever !
Came by because after 4 days my nail cracked completely; the employee changed the nail and painted it for free. So I will add another star because they at least fix their work

I can’t believe they are still in business. I went to have a pedi and a fill for Mother’s day and it was a horrible experience. There was acrylic all over my fingers, my nails were bumpy and they weren’t filed correctly. Not to mention the polish. The pedi was just «ok» not anything special really.
I did tell the main lady that I wasnt happy with the job and she tried to «fix» it but really it looked the same. I had to go to a different place to fix my nails. Never again! So dissapointed. $ 42 to the trash!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was my first and last time at this «salon». When I first sat down inthe chair there was a girl drying her nails and she noticed that her french tip was slanted. She called one of the ladies over and the lady began to say it was just her toes. The girl then asked for my opinion and the french tip was definitely slanted. They then charged said girl to fix it… are you kidding me?!
Anyways, this younger gentlemen did my nails for the first half and it seemed like it may have been his first time doing nails he was putting SO MUCH of the liquid monomer and the powder on my fingers it was getting everywhere. I figured they would clean it up after all was said and done. NOPE. I had to ASK them to clean it off AFTER my polish was put on (which the woman who took over didnt even get it all off the backs of the nails were all chunky with the stuff dried on it was disgusting. took me an hour once I got home to fix them myself)
You might be wondering why there was a nail tech swap during my visit. The answer is simple. 4 women came in and said they needed manicures and 1 pedicure and needed to be out by a certain time. My initial male nail tech didnt even tell me where he was going. he just disappeared to go work on someone elses nails. I was literally sitting there for 15 – 20 minutes. I also asked to be given a manicure and the owner of the salon said that was impossible…
I have absolutely NO IDEA how this place is even in business. Once my nails were done drying I went to pay and pulled my wallet out of my purse (Mind you my nails were completely dry — no damage was done) the woman who finished my nails said «we very busy and i dont have time to fix your nails if you damage the polish by doing that». i kindly replied «my nails are completely dry» she said «i’ve been doing this 30 years I know what I am talking about» I paid and left quickly. no tip. never going back. If i had the time and/​or money I would sit in front of this salon warning future customers of the awful service they will receive if they give this salon their money.
ALSO, they do not use sterile tools. ALL of their tools are in opened bags that make it look like they are sterile but they aren’t. they don’t sanitize either.

I really wanted to get my nails done. It was in dying need. I was in the mall waiting for my boyfriend to finish wait he was doing and I thought it is time to get my hands and feet beauty needs met.
I was greeted friendly. I asked how much for mani and pedi. $ 27 for get and $ 18 for reg pedi. Ok so I sit down and the lady did my pedi and guy did my mani. The guy did an ok job. Still not the best I have had. The lady didn’t even do my cuticles. They both rushed my nails. The lady was busy to get me done I guess she wanted to do the lady that was getting her nails done and then went to the pedi chair to get her pedi done.
No customer should be rushed. No one. I don’t get why I got charge $ 45. When I asked they said the pedi was $ 5 to take off gel. Whatever. 18+27 = 45. I just decided to not ever go back again. The total time for pedi was less than 30 mins and mani was over an hour.

I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed at the last minute so I guess running into a random nail place at the mall, you should expect to have a weird interaction. The woman who waxed me didn’t wear gloves, which kinda bothered me. Then she called me baby multiple times. I know she was just trying to be friendly… but it was a little awkward. At least my eyebrows look good.

I’m so surprised at all the disappointed people writing 1 star reviews. I was very pleased with my pedicure.
I walked in around 6. Lina was just finishing up another lady and had my feet soaking in no time. She also turned on the massage chair, which was so nice.
Lina totally took her time. She cleaned my nails very well and made sure I liked what she was doing. She trimmed, filed, and shaped my toe nails to my specifications. She then massages my legs and feet.
When it was time for the polish, she definitely took her time. She made sure there was no polish on my skin, and took a brush to clean it off.
I thought she was done, but then she brought out hot towels for my legs! Total time was 1 hour!
$ 20 including tip, I will be back!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. PLEASE BEWARE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! They are absolutely not professional. My pedicure once I sat
down started about 10 minutes behind 4 other girls sitting in chairs next to me and yet I was finished first. Everyone else got a massage & scrub, not I! I asked if I could have that and she said that it is $ 1 for each minute per leg. Although when the others paid for their pedi it was the cost listed on the board.
Basically, i absolutely HATE feeling like I do not matter and rushing me and that is exactly how I felt here. Further, the lady that did my pedi used her gross, jagged, brown nail to remove the polish from my skin. He hurt and it was completely disgusting!
Never spend one moment, one dollar or one glade here! I cannot believe they are still in business!

Wasn’t pleased… work in the northridge mall so came here right before work. The lady who did my nails was very nice and friendly. I got a gel manicure which was $ 27 without tip. I wasn’t impressed it looked like something i could do myself i had air bubbles on my nails and the nail polish wasn’t in the lines. After 4 days of having gel my nail polish is already chipping! Gel is supposed to last 2 weeks. Friendly service but soo not worth it!

This place is not the best place to go ever. I Paid $ 38 for a half ass pedicure that chipped the next day. Worst place will not be going back!!!

Avoid. I should have read these before I walked in & threw away my money on a mani pedi.
My manicurist literally «cleaned» her tools by clumsily throwing antibacterial all over her tools.
She didn’t shape my nails evenly, welcomed her self to accepting my change as a tip even tho I didn’t have a finally product to tip off & I not only waited 20 minutes even tho I was the only one waiting but my manicurist kept getting up to do something else, avoid.

customer service is nice but the way they do the mani and pedi here they need to go back to beauty school worst many and pedi ever even the nail polish are old instead of remodeling the store they should go back to school.

Walking and doing my usual shopping when I saw this place and decided to have my nail polish changed. Place is ok, I’ve seen better. I gave $ 20 and planned on giving a tip since the lady did a pretty good job. To my surprise, she handed me $ 12 as my change. Amm hello? I did change color not a manicure. Shocked, she told me its $ 8 to change polish. Whaaaat? That’s ridiculous. I do it all the time and paid $ 6 the most if I ask them to cut my nails and file them. Wow! There goes ur tip I guess. definitely Not coming back!

I should have read the reviews prior to going here. How is this place still at the mall??? I planned on getting a pedi & gel nails later today, but since this place was right next to me I decided to get it over with. BAD, BAD IDEA! I am very disappointed.
The place is dirty, the chairs have no massage options, the girl kept trying to sell me scrubs, massages etc while I just wanted to get my pedi & relax. I came in around 11 am and expected to get a nice job done as there was no rush to get to the next person. WRONG. Another person came in 15 minutes later & the girl rushed my toes to get to her, she almost forgot to put on the top coat.
The man who did my nails was grumpy and mean. He kept pulling may hand to get it to the light and he kept asking me to keep my hands inside the UV lamp at all times, even after he applied alcohol which I don’t see what was the need for that. Anyways, my nails look like they have grown and need a fill even though I just got them done.
I was very uncomfortable trying to stretch my hands to the side. I couldn’t wait to leave that place. So much for a relaxing spa pedi & mani!!! Oh, and they don’t apply lotion afterwards or oil. That’s the cherry on top.

I am glad that I waited a bit to write my review. I WAS going to be generous and give it 2 stars, but it’s defnitely a 1 star caliber.
Came here because I didn’t make an appointment with my usual place and I had a free night. I truly regret it.
Got a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. I have to say that the eyebrow wax was the most decent even though I had to guide the woman through it.
manicure was the laziest I have ever had. it has been less than a week and my nails have fabric and lint stuck to them! What the hell kind of polish did they put on my nails?
Pedicure was lazy as well… should have just taken my free night off and done it all myself.
I usually pay twice what I paid here, but I am not confident in using the phrase «You get what you pay for.»

EFF THIS PLACE.
I wanted to get my eyebrows, upperlip, and underarms. the worst wax job i’ve ever recieved! She basically waxed all my eyebrows off and missed a couple hairs underneath my arms. After she was done, I like how she didnt even hand me a mirror to see my eyebrows and underarms. she was f*cking LAZY and she knew she f*cked up. I told her that she missed a couple hairs and she acted like she didnt see them. I left the store and started crying because i didnt have anymore eyebrows. :(Luckily, i’m make-​up artist but it was just more work for me. Oh, and its too expensive for their ugly service.
