If you enjoy fresh baked warm cookies and delicious ice cream this is the place for you. They also offer warm waffle ice cream sandwiches! which you take a bite of and believe you’ve gone to heaven! They have a variety of cookies and ice cream with toppings for extra fee. Place is clean and service was superb.

I was super excited to try the ice cream taco that I saw on insta but it was a disappointment. They say the taco shell is like their waffle cone and it tasted a little stale and not sugar sweet or buttery enough. It had a hint of cinnamon to it but didn’t make up for the lack of overall taste… I guess I’ve been spoiled by really delicious homemade waffle cones from artisanal ice cream shops and I was expecting something similar so was therefore disappointed.
Further, the ice cream was also sub-​par of gourmet artisanal ice cream, which was therefore also disappointing. I got salted caramel and green tea and they were just okay… it basically tasted like grocery store ice cream or maybe a small step above Baskin Robbins. I’m not saying that I was expecting Carmela, McConnell’s status ice cream but I definitely thought it would taste better than it did.
It seems like their ice cream cookie sandwiches are popular and I might come back on a hot day if I have a sugar craving. Especially since the frozen yogurt place across the street closed :(But next time I come, I will lower my expectations and maybe I’ll leave a little more satisfied. Basically… don’t expect anything outrageously delicious or fancy. Haha.

Great place, fair price, friendly staff and owner… I would go back again if in the valley.

No more social hour during summer! Still love the ice cream here. Mint and salted caramel! Cookies could be softer and thicker, but hey– it’s not diddy reise. Way more expensive than their $ 2 sandwiches, but it’s bigger and they take five stars!

The ice cream flavors were really good with the oreo cookies. I thought the marshmallows were a bit too hard for me. The taco shell itself was kind of disappointing, but then again — hey it’s an ice cream taco.
Prices can be pretty steep. Credit cards accepted. Plenty of parking.

I heard about Cream from a Vegan woman I work with. I am not a vegan, however, my daughter is highly allergic to milk. My co-​worker told me they have great dairy-​free ice cream and cookie options so I brought my daughter and her friend there after dinner on a recent Saturday evening.
Simple concept… Fresh baked cookies (around 10 different types)… Premium Ice Cream (about 20 flavors to choose from)… And a bunch of toppings to choose from as well. They also do cones, cups, shakes, etc… But we were having one of those go big or go home moments. Yeah, we actually went to Cream after eating really good pizza, and all went for the Ice Cream Sandwich.
So, as you would expect, you choose your cookie, ice cream flavor, toppings, and they put it together on the spot. And as you would expect it tastes amazing. The cookies were great, as was the ice cream. I did chocolate chip cookies and mint chocolate chip ice cream and it was really good. I am really not enough of an ice cream connoisseur (yeah, I had to check the spelling on that word) to know if this is better ice cream than say Baskin Robbins… but I do know I really liked it. The cookies were warm and fresh and the sandwich was pretty huge. I saw that they do offer mini ice cream sandwiches as well. Note the mini cookies only come in chocolate chip. Cream offers several gluten free cookies as well.
As I mentioned earlier, my daughter is allergic to milk products, so it is super cool (excuse the pun) that she can come here and not feel left out. They have dairy-​free vegan ice cream (made with soy) in Vanilla and Mint Chocolate Chip flavors. They also have vegan cookies in Banana Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Fudge, and Oatmeal Raisin flavors. She went for the Chocolate Fudge Cookie with Vanilla Ice Cream and topped it with marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles. For her, this was premium ice cream for sure, as she gets her dairy-​free ice cream in the supermarket. She gave it her highest rating… Heaven!
If you are in the mood for Ice Cream, you really can’t go wrong here. I heard it can get quite busy here at times. We went on a Saturday around 6:30pm and it was empty. We’ll definitely be back.
By the way, I was the only one of us to finish my entire ice cream sandwich. My daughter and her friend only got halfway through theirs. We ate outside at a table in front of the place, and we live kind of far away… so there was no way we were bringing the melting leftovers in the car. Even though they were totally stuffed, they had trouble parting with the remainders of their sandwiches… just sat in front of the trash can nibbling for a few moments. Too funny.

I remember seeing «coming soon» way back when… I think My son wasn’t born yet. Being a newly diagnosed diabetic, I have to control what sugar/​carbs I intake. Although, when you’re in excellent management of your diabetes, it doesn’t hurt to have a cheat treat… My blood sugar numbers are great, and my wife and I finally remembered this place and decided to pay them a visit.
I didn’t want to go overboard with the sweets, so I opted for a mini cookie sandwich. It’s small, but packs in enough to get you through your sweet tooth craving. There’s about ½ cup of ice cream in there, and the cookies are baked fresh. Everything tasted so good. We’ll be back for more treats… The key is not to overdo it #diabetesawareness.

Whenever I’m in the valley, this is my go to spot when I have a sweet tooth. They have yummy ice cream & different cookie choices to make an ice cream sandwich. They are super nice here. I’ve also used Groupons here with no problem at all. They even stay open late on the weekends.
My favorite flavors are the Royal Caramel Swirl, & the Cup of Joe with Chocoholic. My Fav cookies are the Red Velvet & White Chocolate Macadamia Nut.

This trip — I went w my family and we got a couple different items to share. I got the root beer float w vanilla ice cream. It was pretty good but I wish it was a more speciality kind of root beer. It was the simple a&w brand. My brother got the carnival (like m&m’ but cheaper) cookie sandwich w strawberry ice cream. The ice cream was mediocre but the cookie was amazing!
The twins both got a mini chocolate chip cookie sandwich w vanilla ice cream and topped w m&ms! One twin dropped her sandwich right away and the guy behind the counter was so nice to give us another without the extra charge. My mom and aunt shared the chocolate chip cookie sandwich w green tea ice cream. It was all very good and gave us a nice sweet coma.

I went a few days ago and they had a few vegan options. The cookies seem like they have changed or are just fresher? Whatever they did the cookie sandwich was awesome! Definitely appreciate the vegan options! I got chocolate chip cookie and soy vanilla.

Came in on a busy Friday night but the line moved along pretty fast and gave just enough time to look at the long list of cookies and ice cream. So many to choose from.
I went with a peanut butter /​snicker doodle cookie combo with salted caramel ice cream in the middle.
The ice cream was delicious with caramel strips in almost every bite. Love the peanut butter cookie but the snickerdoodle was a little too sweet for the ice cream I chose.
At 4 $ this sandwich seemed a little on the pricey side compared to other similar options. I feel like the cookies need to be a little thicker to fully support the ice cream without crumbling easily.
I do however love that they are served warm and the service was very friendly and efficient will have to add a star for that. Also they do have GF options.

Didn’t even know this place was here! Located in the plaza with the 99cent store, Starbucks and Sharkeys. It can get pretty busy in the parking lot.
Ordered a mini (only comes in chocolate chip) and vanilla ice cream filling. Love that they heat your cookie first and let you try any of the ice cream flavors. It wasn’t too busy when I went so that was neat. My brother ordered a regular sized cookie, ice cream sandwich for $ 3.99 and my mini was $ 1.99. They have shakes, sundaes, etc too. I’m a fan!

I have been here twice and they never disappoint.
The cookie sandwiches are huge!!! Which is why I’ve never gotten one… but i have gotten the mini cookie samdwich… and it is awesome!!! The mini cookies are only made as a chocolate chip cookie, but that’s ok. It’s exactly what I wanted. There original sized cookies though come in a variety of choices such as white chelate macadamia nut, red velvet, chelate chip, carnival, and so much more.
Then comes the ice cream choices. You can sample a few if you aren’t sure, but the flavors include chocoholic, cup of joe, cookies and cream, and so many others.
The staff warm up the cookies and you are good to go for the sandwich. The mini cookie sandwich comes in a little cup and the original comes in this paper bag to snack from. It can get messy, so I suggest many napkins!
There is a huge parking lot, but not a lot of seating inside with the countertop seating. It is not a huge spot, but ice cream places never are.
Lasty, I haven’t tried the cream taco, but it does look intriguing… maybe next time!

Stopped by to see what all the hype was about and it’s exactly that, ALL HYPE.
It’s in a plaza so parking is decent. There’s a two tables outside & some tiny stools inside to sit at a bootleg bar out looking the parking lot. The space was small and crowded honestly felt a bit claustrophobic.
Off that bat the only male employee was flirting so hard with a girl ahead of us that he was willing to go above & beyond for her order. Yet I noticed that same courtesy wasn’t extended to other customers. He was rude & unprofessional which started things off on the wrong foot. Then three girls at separate times attempted to help but got so sidetracked that they forgot about me.
Finally got some service I got a scoop of Green Tea ice cream and two Snickerdoodle cookies.
The ice cream was the only decent thing about this place. The cookies were overly sweet & lacked softness.
Summary: I rather go to a Baskin Robins then go here again.

Northridge is a busy city with tons of college students looking for hip, new places to enjoy sweet delights. Therefore, we browsed through the local businesses via the Unilocal app and found one of the most interesting ice cream shops in town. The pictures were amazing and we wanted to see if Cream lived up to the overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Cream is located on the corner of Nordhoff Street and Reseda Blvd. It is in a small strip mall, within walking distance from Cal State Northridge. The lot has enough parking spots so you won’t have issues with finding a space for your car.
When we parked our vehicle, we couldn’t help but notice that Cream was very busy on a Friday night. There seemed to be a steady flow of customers crowding inside of this small business. What we noticed was that seating was going to be an issue. A couple of tables were outside of Cream but wouldn’t accommodate more than 6 people. Then there was a long stainless steel countertop with some small bar stool types of seats inside of the shop. This area would only accommodate up to 8 people comfortably. Needless to say, we were hoping that some seating would become available by the time that we placed our order.
At this point, I decided to focus on the menu as it all seemed so tempting! With many options available, we moved away from a simple milkshake or scoop of ice cream and gravitated toward interesting creations. They had this taco type of dessert in which a waffle cone resembled a taco shell. Scoops of ice cream are placed inside of the shell and several of your favorite toppings will help to create the overall appearance of a taco. I wanted to try this but it seemed like it would have been too much for one person to devour on their own!
Anyway, I was most curious about their ice cream sandwiches as I gazed at the fresh baked cookies in the display case. Basically, you select two cookies, an ice cream flavor, and toppings to coat the surface of the ice cream. So I selected two types of cookies: chocolate chip and carnival (which has M&Ms baked into it). Then I opted for cookies and cream ice cream to be placed between these delicious cookies. When looking at the toppings, I decided to have the ice cream coated in chocolate sprinkles.
Once my cookie sandwich was ready, I gently reached for it like a child preparing to hold a brand new puppy! It was warm and delicate! It was almost too cute to eat but its time had come! The cookies were still warm and this caused a slight amount of melting of the ice cream to occur. The best way to explain it is that everything was compressed together tightly and it was difficult to separate the cookies from the ice cream. It was such a Heavenly treat and I had to figure out how I was going to eat this thing without making a mess. In the end, I used a spoon to eat from the center of the ice cream and slowly broke off pieces of cookies simultaneously. The cookies were very delicious and soft in the center!
When I think about how Cream is different from its competitors, it comes down to presentation. Anyone can make a cookie sandwich and call it a day but their cookies are a good size and very tasty. Their taco-​themed ice cream cone is unlike anything that I’ve ever seen. It’s fun and creative! Clearly, a lot of thought went into developing products that would make people travel from afar. I believe they have another shop in Northern California that is just as popular as this one. I truly love Cream as its not only delicious but it’s something different from what I’m used to. Everyone is friendly and their creations are not just Instagram worthy, they’re also perfect for your palate!

I am back home! After leaving the San Fernando Valley for over a year, you start appreciating the things you miss the most. I have no idea how much has changed in the Valley, even though its not much. When I do head back, I have to try out a new place at every trip. This new particular business has the same name of a popular Prince song, but this one involves cookies too. There is more ingredients than the name suggests, but it sure does market itself very well. Come get some Cream in Northridge.
Located on the southeast corner of Reseda Blvd and Nordhoff St. in a shopping plaza, you will find the small, but popular Cream. To be honest, I was expecting a little bigger store. With the Cal State Northridge nearby, this location can get very busy. See when Summer comes around the corner. Everyone on Reseda and Nordhoff will want something COOL to eat. As we walked up, at 9pm, the store was going very strong. I am very surprised that Cream doesn’t close until 12 midnight. I am sure those late night sessions will get anyone hungry for ice cream. My fiancé and I did love the bright entrance and transparency into the store.
We walked in and we knew it was going to be small. However, there are tables outside. Its usually best to be outside when its much warmer than 50 degrees outside. We were greeted by the Cream Staff. Once you enter in the store, you’ll probably be more focused on the cookies on the far right. So many options of choices. What are they for? To create your special ice cream sandwich. There are three forms of dessert you can choose from: 1) The standard ice cream in a cup ($ 1.99); 2) Ice Cream between two cookies ($ 2.99); 3) The Taco Ice Cream ($ 3.99)! Say what?! OK, I am sure we’ve all seen the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, but the Cream Taco?! I know for sure that was going to be heavy for both of us. I believe the Cream Taco is made out of a waffle ingredient. You would get three scoops with two toppings. I think this is more of a date night type dessert. You can say that the sundae has been reinvented by Taco Tuesday.
The main spotlight of Cream is their ice cream sandwiches. There are many cookie selections to choose from. You can have two of the same cookies or one different flavor. They even have some vegan cookies (additional cost). You can ask for samples of the ice cream before you make your final decision. Unfortunately, not for the cookies. My fiancé will describe her creation in her review. Mine was going to be HEAVY. I am sure there is a statistician that can give an exact number of variations, but on this visit I was going to have three variables. I ordered a Cream Sandwich. One cookie would be the Snickerdoodle and the other would be a White Chocolate Macadamia. I can already feel my cholesterol going up. Add some Pistachio Ice Cream then I’ve got trouble. Toppings are an additional cost. I believe it was 75 cents. Not a problem at all!
The staff grabs a hot cookie from the oven or tray above the oven and place them on the counter. They grab a huge scoop of the ice cream and place them on the cookie. With a hot cookie and an ice cream, who is going to win?! Well, the ice cream is going to. How do you eat such a monstrous dessert? You can dig in with a spoon or just open wide and take a bite. It is very delicious, but this time, you will feel guilty for having it. So many different flavors all at the same time. I can say that it is a good price for the amount they pack in. The sad part was, I felt awful leaving. It was very heavy! I love everything about it, but whoa! Their main product: the Cream Sandwich sure packed a lot of calories and made me beyond full.
I am very happy with Cream and their new home in Northridge. With Summer always the corner, hot or cold, this would be a great grab. I would like to try the Taco Cream. Whoa?! That is an awesome creation. What’s next the Hot Dog Cream?! That just sounds wrong right away. I am sure they are in the works with a new creation with their dozens of ice creams and many different choices.

Checked out CREAM after eating kbbq. Similar to Diddy Reise but they offer brownies, different cookie options with small/​large sizes, good variety of toppings for an additional $ 0.50 and even offer glutton/​vegans options.
Love the fact that they warm up their cookies and offer toppings. Service is fast and easy to read steps. Owner Mario was very friendly! Will return if I’m ever in the area.

Wow. The Pistachio Delight is some of the best… if not THE BEST, pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. The flavor packed a powerful punch; however, for a place named CREAM, I expected a «heavier» or «thicker» consistency/​texture. That being said, having ice cream sandwiched between a cookie and a brownie, is enough sugar crime! Staff was super friendly in helping me choose my sammie and it seemed like everyone was genuinely happy to help with suggestions or offer samples.
I’m normally a froyo gal, but CREAM made a wonderful first impression and on another day when I’m allowing myself massive calorie destruction, I’ll head over and try their milkshakes.

Cream is an awesome ice cream cookie sandwich shop in Northridge. I’ve seen it on Unilocal for a while now and it was great to finally give it a try!
There are a lot of ice cream and cookie flavors to choose from! I had the chocolate vanilla swirl with caramel and it was super delish! The people that work at cream were really friendly and they let me and my friends sample as many flavors as we wanted! They also suggested that we try two different cookies for an ice cream sandwich so I got my ice cream wedged between a chocolate chip and a Snickerdoodle! Best part was, the cookies were warmed up so they were soft and melty! I topped mine off with some rainbow sprinkles and it was perfect!
Cream is a great spot for some dessert,
I wish they had a little more seating inside but I’ll definitely be back!

No more driving all the way to UCLA if I have a Diddy Riese craving.
These ice cream sandwiches are far better than Diddy Riese because they warm the cookies. It makes it so much more delectable.
If you get the ice cream sandwich with brownies, as you can see from my picture, it is very like the ice cream sandwich you get growing up. But it’s texture and consistency is more fudge-​like than a brownie and a little too rich for my weak stomach. I like my brownies more firm with a bit of crisp or crunch to it.
The green tea ice cream has a funky flavor, but I am definitely digging the coconut ice cream.
The price of the ice cream sandwich makes up the price of gas that you would use to go to Diddy Riese though.
