The clothing I love — it’s the customer service that absolutely ‘sucks’. For weeks I have been trying to speak to a manager about a coupon that I received in the mail for 35% off. When I tried to use it on line, it came up as 30%. I then contacted CS and was told it’s a 30% off coupon. So I sent them a copy of the coupon and they still told me it’s a 30% off coupon. I have go back and forth, talked to many people on line and by telephone all telling me the same thing — it’s a 30% off coupon. Now the coupon has expired and once again within my paper bill I received another 35% off coupon — get it right Avenue! I am a true customer and spend a lot of money and I’m about to take my business elsewhere!

If I could give a lower star count of this place I would. I’m not sure about these reviews that say their clothing is high quality. Everything I have ever gotten from there was some poor quality fabric that is never consistent in size! I recently needed a dress for a graduation and couldn’t find anything I liked anywhere else. I made the mistake of looking at the clothes online and making a purchase. They arrived as expected and I tried on the three dresses I purchased. They were all the same size, but one looked like a tent, one looked like I tried to wear a tube sock as a dress, and the third one was at least decent and I kept it. Fast forward to trying to get a refund. I took the pieces back to the store where I was told I had to send them back to the warehouse because I paid via PayPal(although I only got that message at the bottom of the receipt in tiny print and not when paying). She had ripped the shipping bag completely open, and when I declined the offer to get a merchandise credit(why the heck would I want one when I don’t plan to buy anything at any time soon) she got rude and gave me back the shredded bag with my items without even asking if I wanted a bag to hold them. I will NEVER shop at Avenue again! You walk in and no one greets you, you try to buy things and they are poor quality, and the customer service just sucks all around… buyer BEWARE!

I placed an order on 12/26/2014. After waiting 2 additional days from the original estimated delivery date I finally got my package only to find they had not shipped everything. I was missing a pair of shoes. I was only slightly irritated, mistakes do happen, we are all human. I immediately called their customer service and explained the situation. I was told they needed to send an email to their support team and to call back in 2 – 3 days. So I did. Then I was told that I needed to call on the 4th day. So I did. Now I am being told that they will not receive a response from this mysterious department that has no phone number for 5 – 7 days and to call back then. I told them that was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to someone about this. Then they hung up on me. What kind of company handles business like that? I will NEVER shop from them again. There is no one else for me to talk to about the issue, they won’t even give out an email so I can work directly with the department that we are waiting for. This company’s customer service is a joke! Missing items should not take 5 – 7 days JUST to get a response to see IF they will send me the product that I have already paid for. The item that I DID receive is only OK quality so I wouldn’t even say buy directly from their store locations. But if you do choose to shop here DONOTBUYONLINE. Shop at the store so there is less change of them screwing you over and messing up your order. Worst online shopping experience EVER! And I have shopped from China!

Boy! I wish I had read some online reviews before getting my Avenue account. Brought several new bras at their last Carmichael CA event. Just wore one for the first time a few days ago. 4 hours later the underwire had poked through the fabric and was sticking into my ribs. I stopped by the store never guessing there would be a problem. Then I heard the policy. No tags, over 60 days since purchase and now damaged after being worn it’s your problem. I called corporate and heard the policy again. She said«You wore it and now it is damaged.» I said” So your bras are so cheaply made that they don’t last more than 4 hours and I should have known this?” Closing my account and telling all my friends on facebook and twitter to beware. If they don’t stand behind their merchandise you are taking a risk everytime you shop there.

I’m not sure why I don’t shop here more often. I was at Kohl’s looking for skirts in their teeny Plus Size dept and not finding anything. I saw the Avenue and remembered Oh Yeah! As soon as I walked I was greeted very warmly and shown immediately what I wanted. The staff was friendly without being pushy. I wasn’t completely ignored either. The prices are comparable to say, Lane Bryant, but the selection is more varied, I think. Picked up some great unique items at bottom prices. I’ll definitely think about coming here first before Lane Bryant.

Anyone who’s plus size knows the difficulty our is to find plus size clothing at a cheap price. Well this store has it!!! Most days they have huge sales like 50−60% off. .not to mention if you subscribe to there email list you get additional coupons for example 50% of one item. Most of the time I end up leaving with like 70 dollars worth of stuff BUT I leave with like 6 items. You can’t beat that. Did I mention the clothes is good quality? None of that cheap material. The only flaw that it had is its manager… Ugh I just don’t like that guy. He has horrible social skills. The way he talks just makes him sound rude. But I don’t think he is… I just think its his personality. Poor guy. Everyone else is incredibly nice.

I’m not a big fan of plus sized clothing stores. They freak me out only because I feel like a tool when I walk out of the store just for fatties like me. But, Avenue(the Northridge one at lease) made me feel differently. I felt like an a member of some sort of Elite club or something. Weird, I know. I went into the store to buy a new bra. Avenue bras are the best, by the way. They fit my massive boobage perfectly and are seemingly always on sale which is great because I always want more than one of them. So, I find the lovely bra I want and proceed to the cash register to purchase the bra. This is where I meet Betty, the wonderful woman behind the counter. She asks me if I want to apply for an Avenue card. I laugh and say, «I dont think I’ll be approve, sweetie, but thank you anyway.» She goes on to tell me that its worth a shot because you never know. Fine, ok. I wasnt expecting anything. Then, she looks up at me, smiles and tells me I’ve been approved! OMG, really? She made my holidays a lot brighter because I was able to get the Christmas dress I was dying for. A big thanks to Betty and Avenue.

I love this store… It’s basically a really nice place that carrys plus size clothing… but you can also get other things there too… like Earrings, Bracelets, Necklaces, Watchs, Handbags, Legwear & Scarves. They also have an undergarmets area in the far right corner. They also carry shoes(Cloudwalkers)…they have big sizes(10 – 13)…and have WW varieties as well. They carry Boots, Slides, Pumps, Mules, Loafers, Sandels & Wedges. The cloudwalkers are so comfortable. When buying the shoes here I try and get the 40% off coupon from the Sunday newspaper… because most of the shoes are $ 40.00…but you sure do feel like you are walking on a cloud. The shoes are cute too. The store is pretty big inside… and has very nice dressing rooms. The employees are helpful and nice. Parking is not bad either
