My first impression was not very good. When I called the receptionist was very quick to ask for my name, while I was trying to tell her more than once that I was a new patient. She proceeded to ignore what I said and put me on hold, came back and told me she could not find me on her system… i then said «because i am a new patient» she literally told me «oh! Well you have to say that before»… i stopped her and told her i had already stated that but she ignored me. She just didnt listen, she was rushing me off the phone, and didn’t have any appointments available the same week i called. I just gave up and called another dentist, they took me in the next day with amazing customer service. Wished it would have worked out since this dentist is very close to my house.
Customer service needs improvement.

I called to have an estimate price on their fillings. The lady on the phone said she couldn’t give me price without the doctor sees it. I understand that but I just wanted an idea. Then, she gave me the prices and hanged up on my face while I was saying «thank you!». It is not the way to handle phone calls for a business. So rude!

Dr. Alan Stein is a wonderful Dentist! He and staff are all very caring, professional and I put all of my trust into them. I have be going to Dr. Stein for many years now, and I won’t be leaving anytime soon!

I could go on and on about the superb experiences my family and I have had at Dr. Stein’s office.
Time and time again, Dr. Stein and his staff go above and beyond the call of duty, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each of their patients.
The waiting room is cozy and welcoming, and the floors in each of the patient rooms have a homey wooden design.
I couldn’t recommend Dr. Stein’s office enough.

I am an MD who’s been seeing Dr. Stein for about 25 years. All of the comments in these reviews are on target. His office has the latest technology and he is highly skilled. It’s been 20 years since our offices were next to each other and I have continued to see him and his staff with excellent results.

I am the 3^rd in 4 generations that are patients of Dr. Stein, so Unilocal just doesn’t allow enough characters for me to fully convey what a kind, honest, thorough and knowledgeable dentist he is. Starting with him when I was just a teen meant life would take me to other dentists in between, what with moves to different cities and changes in jobs and insurance, so I now know just what a gem he is. Not one single other dentist, not even in high-​priced zipcodes in Los Angeles, compare to Dr. Stein. Not in knowledge, skill, honesty or integrity (did I mention honesty and integrity? Because I cannot mention those enough!). Furthermore, the office is immaculate and the staff is friendly, beyond helpful, accommodating, professional and courteous. The equipment and technology used far surpass anything in any other office in any swanky zipcode I have ever been to. It really is quite amazing. Dr. Stein was able to detect what two other offices were not which, in turn, saved me money as it turned out I did NOT need the work done that the two other offices suggested! That leads me to my last point, Dr. Stein is very conservative. He is clearly not in this profession as a salesman, he is in it as a Dentist. Period. He will always and only suggest what is necessary and he is thorough and fair. Oh, and he is very very funny! Even if you are a cash patient by choice since your insurance providers are just not up to par, as am I, you will still save time, money and anguish by seeing Dr. Stein at the end of it all.

I am not the easiest patent to work with and thanks to the help from the team at Dr. Sieins office, I am feeling like I have found a diamond of a place in the Northridge area. They not only do great cosmetic work, the people in the office treat you like family! I will be having all my work done here except for when Dr. Stein refers me to one of his great specialists.

I love these people! They are so gentle and have such a good attitude.
Dr. Stein stays on top of all new dental info so you know you are getting the latest information and procedures.

Excellent service and clean office. Staff is genuine and professional. Dr. Stein is a great dentist who makes the effort to know his patients. They make every effort to get you to visit the dentist regularly. Making appts are easy and they send reminders. It’s just an overall great experience.

Dr. Stein ’ s practice is amazing. The front desk person was very attentive. I was seen by Ray. He was just awesome. I felt at ease and answered all the questions I had. Dr. Stein was excellent as well and I was completely happy with this visit.

I came on my birthday for a broken tooth. Well what a way to start my party, Leslie is so nice, as are all the staff. Then Dr. Stein appears quickly and after a few great corny jokes poof… I am all fixed and ready to start my party! This is the only dentist for me forever!!!

He and Dr. Leslie Rosenthal are the very best. Dr. Stein is the most gentle & concerned dentist I’ve met in years. I get cavities just to visit his office. His assistant Leslie is the best!

I had been so scared to go the dentist, I kept putting it off until the I was really uncomfortable. Someone recommended I use Unilocal and sure enough, I found Dr. Stein. He was voted #1 on Unilocal in my area. I was able to make an initial appointment within a reasonable time frame (1 week) and found a time convenient for me. I was able to do the paperwork beforehand and that made check-​in go very smoothly. I met with Dr. Stein and discussed my concerns/​questions/​fears. He was so nice, soft spoken, and attentive to my needs. His staff was friendly and walked me through all the steps in the procedure. The office was pleasant and appeared very up-​to-​date with technology. As much as I hate going to the dentist; I will definitely be going back for on-​going check-​ups with Dr. Stein. The greatest Dentist in LA! Dr. Alan Stein and his staff is amazing. Request Tanya for your cleanings, she’s awesome! First off, she is super nice and always so fun to talk to (for as much talking you can do with your mouth open). She’s really gentle and extremely thorough with her cleanings. She’ll always answer any questions I have and gives great advice to help keep my teeth and gums healthy.
After every cleaning, Dr. Stein will always come in and check my teeth as well just to make sure everything is on point. He is extremely passionate about giving the highest quality of service to his patients and it shows. He is so easy to talk to and he makes you feel incredibly comfortable.
I also downloaded their mobile app and its awesome! It connects you to the office directly. You can schedule appointments, make payments as well as other amazing functions.
I highly recommend! Everything about his business is a thumbs up! From the cleanliness of the office to the professionalism/​kindness of the staff to even him staying up to date with the ever changing technology world… THE BEST!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Stein and his staff. They are so welcoming, friendly, and very professional. I recommend everyone I know to Dr. Stein. Parking is easy, located next to Northridge Hospital, and clean/​beautiful décor. They are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling, and always gives me a nice reminder when its time for any routine followups. A+! :) They are open late on Wednesday, which helps when your working a normal 8 – 5 job :)

I am 24 and I was looking for a dentist that is very knowledgable, friendly, local, experienced, modern technology, respected in the community, very clean and professional. After meeting with DR. Stein he demonstrated that he embodied all of my expectations, and much more. He and his staff made me feel very welcome. I have been looking for a dentist for almost 2 years in fear that I will not choose the right dentist. DR Stein made me realize that I had nothing to worry about. He has met my high standards in a dentist.
He explained everything very clearly to me and took the time to show me what procedure I will be getting done.
