A Plus Bathtub Refinishing

I don’t even know where to start! I tried out a new house cleaner a year back and I have no idea what product they used on my tub but the paint came off! It was so gross. I found George on Unilocal and is nothing short of amazing! He really did a fantastic job! So clean and meticulous, I was impressed! Highly recommend!

my roommates and I live in an old apartment from the 70’s so you can just imagine how chipped and moldy the sink and bathtub and the bathroom just in general was. we’re girls and hygiene is important! i had complained about it to our landlord and he gave us George’s number. we called, we spoke, he came and he conquered! He gave us a reasonable price and did an amazing job with our bathroom! looks brand new and I love that I don’t have to worry about seeing cracks of mold and possibly tossing my toothbrush in there!
George knows what he’s doing and I’m so grateful for his services! definitely recommend him.

George completely re-​did our bathroom in Orange County in November 2015 and did a great job! He did everything: demolished the old tiles, removed the tub, repaired damage woodwork, adjusted the plumbing, framed out the new shower and installed and grouted the new tiles. Looks great! Not only that but he cleaned up after himself, which not all contractors are good at. A very professional job. We would not hesitate to recommend George (Armenian name Kevork) for any of your bathroom remodeling needs.

George came to assess our bathtub, floor tile, and kitchen counter tile. The kitchen counter tile needed regrouting. He and his worker scraped the old grout down, but left gouges in our newly refinished cabinet drawers and doors with new hardware. He did not pull out the drawers before he began or cover the bottom cabinet doors. Masking tape (not painters tape) was used at the top of the drawers. There was dust into the hardware from the scraping.
We showed him the damage the following day. He offered to refinish our custom cabinetry, but we declined as we have an excellent cabinet maker who did our refinishing this past spring.
We dismissed him on the spot and have procured another professional to complete the job.

My bathtub and sink were chipping and molding due to my apartments poorly staffed repair crew. I couldn’t deal with them anymore so I based on a referral from my sister I called them to give me a quote. Within a week my bathtub is like brand new. George even explained why the chipping occurred and was very honest. I would recommend him to others as well.

JC’s story and my experience are almost identical!!! George was prompt, clean and courteous! His workmanship, sadly, does not last a year! He did two bathtubs and an entire kitchen for me, and both tub basins have completely come up! There was bubbling on the kitchen countertops and the sinks came up as well! He doesn’t guarantee his work, he will only guarantee against discoloration from the product he uses! SAVE YOUR MONEY and find someone else that does better prep work!!! I’m now hunting for one myself!

The initial experience we had with George was great. He was professional, on time and extremely courteous. A couple days after our tubs were refinished, we noticed that there were some spots the glaze didn’t cover (as the tubs were previously pink and gray and refinished with white) and again George was great and came out to fix the issue. However, the tubs have not been refinished more than a year and the finish is starting to bubble. We called George and left messages and he never called back. We were finally able to get a hold of him and he refused to come fix the issue. He claims that the 5 year warranty only covered discoloration– Apparently, it doesn’t cover workmanship. From what other companies have said, the finish is lifting because the tub wasn’t sanded enough to begin with. This experience was extremely disappointing. We really thought we found a company we could recommend to our friend and family but sadly this was not it. What a waste of money.
