Prices are INSANELY HIGH. People who make more than 500K+ are the only people that can come here. Went in the other day, was $ 50 freaking bucks for 8 meatballs and 4 muffins, absolute ripoff. Now if the food was unbelievable that cost would be one thing, but it was not. The muffins were dry and spongy. I’d recommend just going to DD and get 2 better muffins there for the price of one here. Also, for almost $ 5 per MEATBALL, there should be gold shards in them, and the best meatballs you ever eat, but that was not the case either. Definitely will never be coming here again, and would recommend people to stay away, don’t waste your time and MONEY.

Wish we had received the «excellent food and knowledgeable service» others mention here, but unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing and very stressful. We ordered 4 full trays of hot food, a salad and a gourmet cheese platter for lunch following my father-​in-​laws funeral in September. When no one showed for 45 minutes, we called and were told he was on the way… but alas, food was 1 ½ hours late. No apologies for lateness and as the trays were brought in, the sauce from the chicken franchise (that had spilled all over his trunk) was dripping from each tray throughout my house. 4 sterno trays were requested, only 1 arrived.
Both the chicken franchise and the shrimp scampi trays were only ¼ full, I counted 24 small pieces in each tray. The «shrimp scampi» was breaded and fried and had a pesto sauce poured all over it. I have never seen shrimp scampi served that way in my life!
The «artisanal cheese platter» that was supposed to be on a marble cheese board with dried fruits and/​or olive tampanade and French baguette, arrived as 3 types of cheese, cut into small chunks and piled on a plastic tray, with nothing on the side.
The customer service follow up was no better. I called the next day and left a message for the owner, Tom. After hearing nothing for 4 days, I called for the third time and left another message. I did finally hear back that afternoon, but wish I hadn’t. He had excuses for everything, from delivery man getting lost, no excuse for missing sterno trays, said ‘that’s how we prepare our shrimp scampi’, and ¼ full trays is the usual amount. (Yet the sliced steak tray was ¾ full, as was the French fry tray).
It was already a stressful day for us and this delay and poor quality of food made it even worse. NEVER AGAIN!

I work near this establishment and went in looking for a hot lunch but was so turned off by the appearance of the displayed food (the meatballs looked like moon rocks and all the other dishes looked as if they were made long, long ago), that I decided to get a turkey and swiss on rye thinking no-​one could mess that up. For $ 8.24 I got dry turkey, less than two slices of swiss on crumbly, stale rye. This was my second visit, both times the wait was quite long despite few customers, I see other positive reviews here, but they seem to be praising the breakfasts, not the lunch offerings.

Wanted food for picnic at Crab Meadow beach and was steered toward the anti-​pasta salad and the off the bone BBQ chicken. Didn’t want the BBQ chicken on the bone.
The anti-​pasta was fine, but the BBQ chicken off the bone was disappointing. The chopped up chicken was perfect for sandwiches, except for the fact that there were small pieces of bone. They were wishbone size but after a few bites of encountering bones while chewing, everybody on the beach was tired of spitting out bones while chewing. It made other food choices easy to go to.

This is the best deli in Northport, PERIOD.
The food is always delicious, the service is fast and the staff can not be beat. There’s always a lot of interesting things to choose from, and they have a nice menu of healthier items as well. We love this place so much that we hired them to cater our engagement party. 2 months later, and still, we are hearing from our guests how amazing the food was. This place does a spectacular job.

Best deli ever!!! The Kitchen has all of the breakfasts and lunch sandwiches you’d hope for from a good deli… But the quality of their food is impressive. One bite of my morning sandwich (2 eggs, mozz cheese, and sausage) and I knew it would be a wonderful day. I’ve tried a handful of different lunch sandwich combos as well and NEVER have I been disappointed. Reliable, great service, excellent establishment…

This place not only serves as a caterer but as a full functioning delicatessen of which you can sample their product. Big fan of the panko breaded chicken cutlets and egg sandwiches with hash browns but the menu doesn’t stop there. They also include a full catering menu of which I have personally had the pleasure of experiencing at events around town. Huge improvements from the previous owner. The kitchen and menu has been completely revamped. Current owner is very knowledgeable about food and you can tell that it is his passion.

Ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich. Freshly fried. Too much bread in sandwich, made it dry. Will come back to try other stuff.

Today was my first time visiting The Kitchen and I was thoroughly impressed! I must drive by this place almost every day and never think twice about it. Honestly, I’ve been very loyal to Northport Delicatessen up the block all these years. The only reasoned I tried this place was because Northport was closed today.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Kitchen! I had a breakfast wrap which was very fresh and tasty overall. The sausage was seasoned well and the hash browns were hot and crispy. Great portion size too for $ 4! The quick service and friendly staff/​owners presence will also have me definitely coming back again soon! Glad to have two amazing Delis now to choose from in Northport!
