History

Established in 1995.

The Orange Crate is owned and operated by The Yessick family of Northport, Alabama. Bill, Beth, and Michael Yessick opened The Orange Crate with the purpose of providing unfinished, solid wood furniture to the Central Alabama and Mississippi area.

The name Orange Crate came from stories that Michael’s grandfather would tell about people using orange crates as furniture back during the Great Depression. Michael always wanted to name a furniture store The Orange Crate. Our furniture is solid wood that can be customized and finished your way!
