This place was amazing!!! Great customer service, clean and great work. I had my haircut by Rachel the owner and just loved how my hair came out. This is how every salon needs to be.

I left my designer sunglasses there, and when I called to get them back they said they were not there. I specifically remember leaving my MK sunglasses on the salon counter. Pretty sure someone took them. It’s also very over priced. VERY.

Sadly I have to update my review. First my sister went, got a haircut that was a complete hack job. Was told by ‘stylist’ she isn’t very good. Next my mom went to get a color. Wish we would have got a box and done it ourselves. Huge chucks of hair had been missed, what was colored was uneven. Could not believe how bad it looked. After seeing their bad hair, I said no thanks and went to a new place.

Although I really like this salon, yesterday’s experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
I went in for a full highlight. I waited about 45 minutes for the color to set and was took back to the sink for the wash out/​toner application. She slightly rinsed my hair and said she had to get the toner made up. I sat there for another 15 mins waiting only to have to wait again because she didn’t make enough. Not sure they she couldn’t make the toner while I was waiting 45 mins for color to set but whatever.
When I go to pay, she says «since we had to use so many foils and your hair is so thick it’s $ 125.»
I didn’t realize it was my fault I inherited thick hair? And you used more foils when you thought you would! Not my fault so why am I getting punished with a higher bill?
It wasn’t until after I left, I felt a «gummy» residue on the hair by my neck. She didn’t wash out all the product! Wtf! Way to focus on the top of head. If I have such thick hair you should know you need to get under all the layers. I’ll go there again but won’t let Nicole do my color.

Check out the little barbershop in the shop. Can get hooked up fades, tapers even hot towel hot face shaves!

Went here for the first time about a month ago. Didn’t want to write a review right away because I wanted to see how my hair grew out and if it was worth it. The price is great, the atmosphere is nice, the salon is cute and clean. Not the worst haircut, but also not the best. I arrived early for my appointment because I had not yet been to the salon and wanted to make sure I knew where it was and not be late. I’ve never felt guilty for being early before. I was questioned why I was early, why I booked an appointment with the person I did, and if I felt like I really had to see her or if they could just throw me in with whoever was open. I was then told that if I wanted to keep my appointment, I would be put in after the highlights that needed to be started that arrived 20 minutes late. I felt rushed the whole time I was getting my hair cut, and completely not wanted since I was not a regular client. The experience was better than the cheap chain places, but I won’t be going back.

In and out in 30 minutes $ 20. Granted that there was no hair wash and a quick blow dry. Nothing to brag about. I went in for an inch trim and don’t actually love how it was done; it looks like I cut it myself. Just very unskilled cut. There were a lot of flyaways after the cut that were not there before which was really upsetting. My hair was all split ends within two weeks which makes me question the quality of scissors. I’m really upset because y hair was destroyed by a haircut and I didn’t even know that was possible. I’m going to have to get my hair all cut off pretty short to get it fixed, but I’ve been growing it out for my wedding. Which means have horrible haircut or short hair for my big day.

I came here after getting a Groupon deal for $ 46 for a cut, blowout and deep conditioning. I haven’t gone to a hair stylist in several years and wanted to treat myself and get something new. I was really looking forward to it and ended up being so disappointed. After making an appointment nearly a week in advance, I ended up waiting over 20 minutes still for my stylist, who was super rushed and working on another girl at the same time. She washed my hair, conditioned it and sat me under a heat lamp with plastic on my head for literally OVER AN HOUR while she did the other girl’s hair. She was very apologetic and explained she was covering for another stylist and just did not have time. When it came time for the cut I told her I wanted layers for added volume and bangs, she told me layers wouldn’t add as much volume as a straight cut and added some very juvenile looking bangs. She also mentioned she would give me some free samples of product to try out and never did (I’m guessing she forgot and I didn’t want to spend any more of my time there as at this point it had been well over 2 hours). So I spent almost $ 60 (I still tipped her because I didn’t want to be that guy) on a shampoo, conditioning, and basic (terrible) trim (nobody even noticed I got my hair cut). I would guess based on the other reviews here that normally they probably do really great work and my experience was an exception and not the norm, but I will definitely never go back.

No… just, no. I went in for a Men’s Haircut. $ 20, not bad, plus 10% off if you check in on Unilocal.That’s what the 1 star is for.
The lady that cut my hair (Elizabeth) was awkward. I have really, really thick hair so it needs to be washed before I get it cut. On their website, a shampoo is included in the Men’s Haircut, but all she did was get my hair wet. Meh, whatever. At one point she asked me where I worked. I told her, and she said «I’m surprised they let you have your hair so long.» Uh, my hair barely covers my ears. It’s not long at all. She had commented on how thick my hair was. I told her I get it from my mother. Later on, when she was trimming my neck, she said «Do you get your hairy neck from your mom too?» WTF? I told her perhaps it’s because I’m a MALE?! Lol!
She rushed through my haircut, and within 10 minutes she was «done.» I paid and went home. The hair cut isn’t terrible, but it’s very uneven and looks almost like a bowl cut (gross). I could have gotten a better job from Supercuts. I might actually go in and see if they can even it out for me.
Never again.

I love my hair! Heather did such an amazing job adding color! I wanted purple chunks and highlights and I am a very happy customer! Highly recommend Heather for your hair needs! Booked last minute and she went out of her way to fit me in! Thanks for going that extra mile. I live in Greeley, and will happily go out of my way to continue going to her.

Again I’m leaving as a satisfied customer!!! It doesn’t matter if I need a color treatment or want to chop all my hair off, I can trust Michelle to do an amazing job!!!

I’ve been going to this salon for a couple years now. When my previous salon closed for business, I took to Unilocal to help find a new one.
I’ve been quite satisfied with the job these ladies have done for me. I don’t get my hair cut or colored very often so I don’t go to a specific stylist.
This past visit, I had Vanessa cut my hair. I told her that I wanted a trim but not too short as I’ve been traumatized in the past; however she did recommend a tad shorter than I wanted cut because my ends were so badly frayed and had a lot of split ends. I’m glad I listened to her because my hair looks a lot healthier and she even framed it to my face to give my hair some shape. Also, I’m sometimes socially awkward lol, so Vanessa made it very easy to converse with her.
They take appointments or walk-​ins. I usually go during the day on a weekday and they are not busy yet.

Erin is the best! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. She always takes good care of me. I love Twisted Scissors!

Got a Groupon deal and was able to get an appointment super easily. Michelle was my stylist, and she did an amazing job! I got blonde highlights which she spaced out so well — not stripey nor fake looking — love how the color turned out! Then she trimmed and thinned my huge thick curly hair. Curly hair can be difficult to cut– but she did a fabulous job and was very communicative about how much I wanted off before she trimmed. She treated me like a loyal customer not just the zillionth Groupon customer. I like that she took her time but still had me in/​out under two hours. I typically visit fancy/​trendy salons downtown so I was pleasantly surprised at how this salon competed w those experiences!

This place is good. It’s nothing to rave about, but I wouldn’t say don’t go here. It’s tastefully decorated, good music, and plenty of staff so you’re not waiting around to have your color rinsed.
I brought my son here and he got a good cut. He was happy, so I was happy. Then my husband came in. Another good experience.
My experience was not so great. I had very, very long hair and I wanted it cut into a layered bob. My hair is probably medium coarse. It has volume and holds a style easily. I brought in pictures of what I wanted for color but the final color didn’t quite match. It was at least two shades darker than what I wanted. The girl did offer to re-​color it, but I worried about damaging my hair.
The cut didn’t have the layers quite as I wanted. I wasn’t advised that my hair «wouldn’t do that» or anything — the finished product just wasn’t what I wanted. It framed my face, but the layers in back were much more choppy than the photos I brought in. It’s not a bad cut. It’s not something that needs to be fixed (and it can’t be without going much shorter). But it’s not what I wanted.
I should have paid attention to the rave reviews below and booked an appointment with Liz. I might try again (with Liz), but I’m still on the fence.
I give this place 3 stars because my son and husband were very happy and my cut/​color was ok. It wasn’t what I wanted, but it’s not something I’m embarrassed to be seen in.

I’ve been going to this salon for just under a year. I’ve only got superb service once. Always thought maybe next time. Michelle was so friendly and easy to talk to did a fantastic job on my hair. That was THE only time I loved it. Same visit I saw 2 gals go take a pot break spray themselves down and come back in for work. I understand it’s legal buy to use it at work then to come back smelling it isn’t for everyone. They should be respectful of others.
This last time I went. I made sure to say I need a cut and said it several times over and over not above my shoulders. She said oh no. I will cut 6″ at most. When I left I had 8″ of pony tail cut and and another 3″ on length. I’ve been In tears. I HATE my hair now and can’t stand that she didn’t listen to me when I said over and over not short not above my shoulders. Then was charged $ 25.50 for a cut? No wash was givin and yes blow dried but hair but no styling was done. I was not only ripped off but not listened too. I will NOT be returning to this place and will be sure to tell my sister in law and mother who go as well. Pretty sure they’ll stop as well. These girls not women but girls need to take pride in their work and listen. I rate 1 star only because of Michelle who did great. Jackie screwed me!

This was the closest place to my home that was well-​rated and didn’t require me to drive into the city. It is very inexpensive, but I find that you get what you pay for. My stylist was very nice, but I don’t feel like she listened to what I really wanted. The cut was shorter and not as I had asked for. It wasn’t layered at all, and the way she styled it was very pedestrian. I’d even showed her a picture of when I had this cut several months ago. I do have to say I am very picky, as my last three stylists did my hair really well. if you want an inexpensive cut in a nice salon, though, you’ll probably be okay here.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I’ve been going to Rachell for two years and she always knows exactly what I want. She is so friendly and helpful and my hair looks great everything. She is so awesome that one visit I couldn’t pay and she gave me an IOU for next time. Who does that?! Only the best hair stylist ever! =)

I bought a groupon for a cut and color and had Liz do my hair. The salon is nicely decorated– I really like the chic wallpaper. Liz was excellent. I showed her a pic of what I wanted done with my hair and she hit it right on the mark. She was patient with my long hair and didn’t try to rush me at all. The products used here are high end and I loved how my hair looked and felt at the end of my appointment. They also have some products for sale.
The only reason I took a star off is because the groupon advertised that you could have a glass of wine while getting your hair done, but they were out of wine when I went in. I have to admit, I was really looking forward to that. Hoping they will stock up by the time I need a touch up! Go see Liz!

I started out with Liz but after discussing my hair needs I switched to Michelle. She listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to modify my cut to suite my hair type. Over all pleased.
