Day Camp (Doggy Day Care)

Long work day? High energy dog? Separation anxiety? Bring your dog to Camp Bow Wow for a day at Camp! Early drop-​off and late pick-​up allow you to focus on your daily routine while your dog plays with our Certified Camp Counselors® and his or her favorite canine friends. We’ll find the play group that best fits your dog’s personality and size while you find the schedule that best suits your dog’s needs — a few days a week, a few days a month, or just «as needed». One thing is for sure; at the end of the day, each dog goes home tired and happy. That’s good for your dog, and good for you, too!

Overnight Camp (Dog Boarding)

Vacation? Business Trip? Allergic house guests? Home remodeling? Bring your dog to Camp Bow Wow for an overnight stay! Overnight Campers stay busy with Camp activities during the day and go to their cabins for meal time and bedtime. Siblings can share an over-​sized cabin to make it more like home. All-​day play, private cabins, and plenty of canine and human contact help your pup sleep soundly at Camp Bow Wow while you are away.

History

Established in 2004.

Camp Bow Wow Northglenn opened its doors on October 18, 2004.

As of November 1, 2014, Camp Bow Wow Northglenn is under new management. We have also recently completed a paw-​some renovation of our facility. We have all new cabins, play yards, outdoor K9 turf, high definition Camper Cams, and a new teacup play yard for a little ones under 10 pounds. Come in anytime to see our new improvements.

The Camp concept provides the highest levels of fun, safety and service for our Campers, and peace of mind for their parents. Since we started franchising in 2003, The Camp Bow Wow brand has grown to over 124 open Camps, including one in Canada, over 75 Home Buddies franchises, 6 standalone Home Buddies locations, 150 franchises awarded, and a wonderful charity, the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. As Camp Bow Wow grows, our simple philosophy remains the same: It’s all about the dogs.

We took our goldendoodle puppy Maggie there for the first time when she was 4 months old. She was a bit hesitant but with the help of some very patient humans, transitioned well into her play group. She loves going to play time and I like that I can use the online cameras to see how she’s doing. All the people there seem to truly love dogs and interact with them often. Love this place!

I LOVE this place. They’re hours are great for me to be able to drop my dog off before work (7am) and even be able to go to the gym after work without feeling guilty. They take care of my dog just as I would and I love being able to check on him throughout the work day. I love being able to screenshot my pups daily interactions. This is also a great one stop shop for getting our pup a bath and nail trim. The front desk staff in the morning isn’t that enthusiastic about their job, but those that I see on the Camper Cams are truly all I care about and they seem fantastic!

I used to take my dog here 4 – 5 years ago and they were great, so I’m not sure if there was a change in management or what happened. Took our 3 dogs here back at the end of June for 5 nights. We dropped off food for each with each bag labeled with the dog’s name. One of the dogs requires daily medication, which was explained at drop off and all meds provided. When we picked up the dogs, there was almost all of one dog’s food left — so clearly she was given another dog’s food, not sure why. The dog that required meds had 2 day of meds left, and we were told «well whoever was working the weekend shift must not have given it to them,» as if it was not a big deal that the dog had not been given its daily medication. I wrote this in my email review right after our stay, and NEVER heard from management — not even an email or call. Not to mention, all 3 dogs were supposed to be in the same play yard, and every time we checked while we were gone they were all separated. Normally I have no complaints with Camp Bow Wow — our dogs come home happy and tired, but this time I don’t know what happened.

We started at Camp Bow Wow in Golden and were not happy with the service, so transferred to Camp Bow Wow in Northglenn; it was the best decision for my puppy. The handlers are friendly, yet honest (told me my Sadie was hesitant to go through the gates at first). The web cams reassured me how much the handlers love these pups, petting and paying attention to them instead of just wandering around not paying any attention to the dogs like at Golden. When I drop Sadie off, she is just as excited to see the handlers as they are to see her. Highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Northglenn!

I board my jack Russell mix here whenever I go away. I love the fact they have a doggy cam cause I do like to watch her play with the other dogs. I feel like she’s very well taken care of and their rates are quite reasonable

Camp Bow Wow Northglenn is amazing! We have been taking our 6 month old St Bernard mix there for awhile and have had nothing but great experiences. I can really tell that everyone working there loves Max and is excited when he shows up in the morning.
I love that we don’t need to make reservations ahead of time so its no issue when our plans change last minute and we need somewhere to take Max. Drop off in the morning is easy and quick, it has never taken me more than 5 minutes for check in and it gets faster once they all start to recognize me and Max. Pick-​up is the same way; it takes a little longer if you have to pay but when you purchase a package it makes everything faster, and cheaper.
Max is always very tired when he gets home and I can really tell that he enjoys his time at Camp Bow Wow. We’ve had no problems with fights or behaviors coming from them and I am always comfortable with leaving Max there for an entire day if need be. I love this place!

I highly recommend camp bow wow for your dogs. My puppy is so happy going there, and doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up. She is so exhausted when we get home which is so much better then having here in a crate all day. The staff they have there are amazing, and can tell you how your dog was that day. The best part it she gets to socialize with other dogs so its easier to bring her to dog parks or just walking around the neighborhood. Keep up the good work.

Camp BowWow is a great place to take your dogs. Tucker went for the first time last week and really had a good time learning to socialize with other small dogs.
We plan on taking him to daycare the next 3 weeks. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for overnight stays.

We had our doodle boarded here for a couple days while on vacation and also paid for a bath and blow-​dry. When we picked her up, she was still half wet and shaking off water. The gentlemen at the front desk was very understanding and offered to blow dry her again if we waited another 30 mins. Apparently the girl working on her skipped out to lunch, leaving our dog half dry. For a poodle, this is bad news as their hair will become matted if left to dry damp.
After coming back after 30mins, our doodle was drier, and the girl who skipped out to lunch fed us a mountain of excuses as to why the dog ‘appeared’ wet. Unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t take pride in her work. I feel sorry for the gentleman at the front desk who has to put up with such lazy, irresponsible workers. Hopefully he finds a better job elsewhere!
We will not be taking our dog to the NorthGlen location again.
We typically take our doodle to the Boulder location, which is very professional and offers great service.

We have been taking our two dogs here for about two years, and have been nothing but pleased. They adore going to «camp» and get SO excited on our way there, and the playtime wears them out and gets them the «pack» socialization that they don’t receive at home when we are at work. In addition to the fun the dogs have, we are always confident that they are receiving top notch care and attention when they are there.
The staff is very communicative about their behavior and interactions with other dogs, and I really feel as if they know our dogs’ personalities and routines to a T. One of our dogs recently had a seizure-​like episode at home, so I was a bit concerned dropping him off for day care for the first time after. I spoke to one of the staff members in the morning, and when I picked them up, a different staff member (without even being asked) immediately gave me his progress report for the day and said he seemed like his normal self. I was impressed by this communication, as I know there were lots of dogs there that day.
In addition to the care they show our own dogs, I am very impressed by their partnership with local animal shelters and dogs in need. They’ve offered really neat events like pictures with Santa for our dogs, and all of the proceeds go to the Buddies Foundation to help needy pooches. And not only that, but they have a foster program for shelter dogs! I feel like this tells a lot about the organization as a whole.
We will be sending our dogs to Camp Bow Wow as long as we live in the area, and would highly recommend to anyone!

RUDE and unprofessional management!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They also will have hours per day where they don’t answer their business phone. All of the camp counselors are so kind to the dogs and wonderful to work with. However, my interaction with the Assistant Manager, Brianna, and the owner CiCi, have been sheer and 100% horribly rude and unprofessional. They speak to me like I am stupid and are short and snappy. I have spent a lot of money here and I will NEVER take my dog again. Also, my dog came home with scratches and a bite mark from other dogs there-​I understand they play hard, but it seems too much too often that this happens. In addition, on numerous occasions I have gone to drop off my dog and waited in the lobby for what seemed 5 – 10 minutes before I have been helped. I will never go back.

I originally wrote a really good review here, but, I can’t stand by that review anymore. After my boys’ last visit, one of my boys seemed really hand shy and nervous around new dogs all of a sudden. So, that night when we got him home, I was playing with his ears and noticed that he had puncture wounds on his ears and torso. Furthermore, on bite wound was so close to his eye that he required antibiotics from the vet. A day later, while grooming one of our other dogs, I noticed that he too had bite wounds on his torso.
I’m a dog trainer, so, when I say that my dogs are generally passive and avoid other dogs, please believe me. They also spend all day washing each other, not fighting. I use those two dogs to assess dangerous dogs because they are so passive.
I emailed the facility to ask them if they knew my dogs had both been bitten, one of them in the face (my vet said it would have caused blood…). They said no. They were shocked actually. I was offered a free day of day care.
Here’s my issue: they didn’t notice an incident between dogs violent enough to cause bite wounds. They put a lot of dogs together in those play groups and I always wondered if there were enough staff to fully watch everything that was happening. Apparently not.
Otherwise, it is a clean facility. Nice staff. It’s pretty chaotic (but, it is a dog daycare…). Just check your dogs for injuries because they may not have been watching when your fur kid got bitten.

I’m really glad to have camp bow wow nearby. I take my dog there once a week, it really helps her tire out her energy and I can go to work knowing that she’s not chewing up my house and the next day she’s pretty tired, I call it doggy daycare hangover. We walk her a lot, but I think she needs the socialization that they offer there. I cannot take her to dog parks because she’s slightly protective of me when I’m around (we’re working on training her not to do that). Camp bow wow is very good to my dog and it’s her 2nd home, she likes going there. An interview is required so they can see if your dog is the right fit. They can get busy during the holiday weeks so make your reservation early if you know you need to take your dog there.

Very satisfied with Camp Bow Wow! Would and will recommend them to anyone who loves their dogs as their own children. Kevin took care of our two big dogs with the twice daily visit package. He sent us texts and pics of them playing and general updates. They were worn out and happy when we got home!
Our place was just as we left it, felt very comfortable with Kevin immediately upon his intro visit. We are looking forward to trying out the day camp next!
