History

Established in 1988.

After graduating from Dental school in 1977 Dr. White joined the US Air Force. During his 12 years in the USAF Dr. White practiced as a general dentist before going back to school for orthodontics. Dr. White started private practice in 1988. In addition to private practice, Dr. White teaches graduate orthodontics at Case School of Dental Medicine, lectures both nationally and internationally on orthodontic topics, is a contributing editor for an orthodontic journal, and consults for several orthodontic manufacturers. Dr. White began using Invisalign in 2001 and was the first provider in Northern Ohio recognized by Align Tech as Elite in 2009 and Top1% in 2013.

As with many orthodontists, I was at the top of my college and dental school classes. I joined the U.S. Air Force to hone my dental skills in a general practice program. During my 12-​year Air Force career, I was honored to serve as a Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General, and as staff orthodontist at Walter Reed Army and Bethesda Naval medical centers as well as two Air Force medical centers. During these tours, I received two Air Force Commendation Medals and a Meritorious Service Medal, and was promoted to Lt. Col. prior to going into private practice. I chose to return to my home in NE Ohio in 1988 to raise my family and to fulfill a promise by joining the faculty in the Department of Orthodontics. In my 24 years as clinical professor, I’m very proud to have been involved in the education of over 130 orthodontists and honored as instructor of the year 3x. More recently I have been invited to speak at universities and professional meetings nationally and internationally.
