Horrific customer service.
I’ve wandered through several of the White House Black Market locations throughout the last several years, and often find items I just love. So I assumed this would be a good place to check out, as it is in a really upscale, well-​appointed mall.
Boy was I wrong.
My primary concern was — as I was browsing the racks, one of the saleswomen (the same one who’d asked if I needed help twice on my way in) came over again to me and asked if I wear a size Medium (I answered no — to which she said ‘oh, just curious’ and walked away).
I continued browsing, and couldn’t help but overhear (clear across the store) the two saleswomen commenting on the «freakish size 12» — at which point I walked out of the store and will NEVER spend money at ANY White House Black Market again. I am a 6′ tall, athletic woman, a professional businesswoman, and a veteran of the armed services — as well as a solid size 12 [which, apparently, is freakish, though being tall and strong sure came in handy in the service].
Just wanted to share my experience with anyone considering patronizing this establishment. If you’re into being insulted while you shop, though, this is the place for you.
