This is right near my home, so I am there just about every day. In the summer it’s a great place to go for a walk or bike ride. There are lots of beautiful wildflowers in season. Between the skate park, the playing fields, the batting cage, the golf course, and the trails, there’s something for everyone. The nearby Meadowhill Aquatic Center is the nicest outdoor pool in Northbrook. It’s right next door to the Velodrome which is the site of USCF races on Thursday nights.

I live biking distance. So this is nice. And also the only fishing spot near by. Also they have swings, batting cages, and golf.

So the first time I ever was here was for the 2nd birthday party of a good friend’s kid. Its right there in Northbrook, but hidden away from all the commuters on Waukegan or 294. This place seems to have it all. Plenty of open spaces, a golfing area, places for picnics and outdoor parties, walking trails, fields for sports… It is what makes the suburbs a nice place to live

An incredible facility with so many different things to do. Anetsberger is a nine hole par three golf course, a walking path encircles the golf course, batting cages, four softball/baseball diamonds, a sledding hill, skate park, two picnic areas(one with grills) two turf soccer fields and a playground. I know this sounds like a commercial, but I wanted to truly paint a picture about what the park is like. I did a 5k here on July 4th. It’s truly a great a scenic park. My kids love the playground. There are two places to play, one for pre-schoolers and one for older kids. It in more of a industrial area than a neighborhood, but there are usually plenty of other kids arouns to play with.

Great park about 15 miles north from the city. It has several mini parks within the park; like a skate park, a golf park, a picnic area, and several ball fields and a huge hill to tumble down if you want to act real silly. They also have a fishing pond. Not sure if it’s stocked with piranhas or not, but who cares? There’s no swimming allowed anyway.
