Not only do we offer chiropractic care and massage therapy, but also physical therapy, nutrition counseling and nonsurgical spinal decompression.

Dr. Aguilar.

Business Owner

After watching his mother go from debilitating migraines that severely affected her ability to care for her family to having them completely resolved due to chiropractic care, he found his calling. Born and raised in the Quad Cities, Dr. Jose Aguilar earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic after earning two degrees in Health Sciences and Liberal Studies from Black Hawk College. During his time at Palmer, he and 25 others spent 3 weeks on a missionary trip to Fiji providing chiropractic care to underserved communities. After graduating, Dr. Aguilar also earned his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and in MOTUS Therapeutic Taping. His passion is to provide everyone the opportunity to develop extraordinary health and wellness through Chiropractic care and to reach those who otherwise would not be able to receive care.

My massage with Mark was so thorough and targeted my severly achey muscles. I have degenerative discs and a lot of discomfort in my lower back and also my neck and shoulders. He was extremely sensitive to my pain threshold but he was not hurtful at all. I left there feeling so much better than when I arrived as a big ball of knots and stress! I can’t wait to go back.

I have been receiving treatment for the past two months for neck, shoulder and hip pain. I have migraines stemming from the neck and shoulder pain and have been very pleased with Dr. Aguilar’s treatment approach and caring, compassionate attitude. I have been to quite a few chiropractors and Dr. Aguilar is by far the best. He truly cares about his patients and my pain has been getting better week after week. I am so happy that I found him!

The staff here is wonderful! I have been going to Dr. Aguilar for some upper and lower back problems and have experienced great results! I haven’t been going long, and my pain is pretty much non-​existent at this point. I have also been getting massages from Sandy, who is amazing! Definitely check this place out.

Everyone here is super welcoming and always so friendly. The Dr. makes sure to understand what’s bothering you most and lists several ways of treatment and exercises to help with pain. The massage therapists are amazing as well! Sandy has been my massage therapist for a couple months and she’s always doing an amazing job.

I really appreciate Dr. Aguilar’s help with my back and neck pain. He’s a very good chiropractor and he really listens to patients. His office is convenient, easy to schedule with, and helpful in explaining insurance benefits. I also really appreciate the several helpful therapeutic massages I’ve gotten there.

Dr. Aguilar and his staff have been such a blessing! I’ve had to get therapy on and off due to back and headache problems and the minute I met him for my consultation I knew I had found a special place.
I’m not into the review thing but in this case I just have to let Unilocal users know that you will not regret becoming one of his patients. They are extremely professional and flexible and have worked with me to heal my back issues with a lot of care and knowledge. I’m very lucky to have found this place.

And, finally, two months ago I found right place and right person who does massage. «Helping hands» is the right place for people who have a problems with back shoulders, arms, legs. Dr. Aguilar is very professional so is Mark (massage). Mark is the best!!! I love this office and I will highly recommend it to everyone!!!

I have gone to several chiropractors over the years for several back and neck issues. I have always dreaded going because I hate having my neck cracked. Also I would need to go back for several weeks to see any significant relief. My first time with Dr. Aguilar was a huge difference. After I confided that I did not like coming because of the time commitment and dislike of the adjustment process he proceeded to use a much gentler method on me and I immediately relaxed and felt a good measure of relief. After my second visit my pain and stiffness was gone. There was never any pressure to make more visits only to assure me that they were available whenever I needed to return. I decided on my own to try to come once a week when possible as a preventative measure or whenever I feel my back start to tighten up. I highly recommend Dr. Aguilar.

The staff here is super friendly and really cares about your needs. I have been coming here for over a year to help manage my fibromyalgia pain and I always leave there feeling so much better. I know there is no magic cure for what I have, but at least Dr Jose and the massage therapist, Geidra, really work hard on improving your overall health.

This is the first time I’m writing a review, I felt it was very necessary to review this place so I can warn people. I PAID FOR A 60 MINUTE MASSAGE AND ONLY GOT 48 MINUTES!!! I checked my phone before and after, so I am not exaggerating. I told the lady at the front desk and all she said was, «oh, sorry.» She didn’t even offer to compensate for the time and give me any kind of refund. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.

Great massages with Sandy. She is so pleasant and enjoyable. I was a little hesitant because I bought a Groupon for a massage. I am recovering from hip surgery so I need to have my leg massaged regularly. It was the best Groupon I ever bought! Sandy was amazing and knew exactly how to relieve my pain. I’m so happy I found this place, Groupon or no Groupon

My husband and I made two appointments back to back on a Friday afternoon. Nikki at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Sandy, our massage therapist was very professional as well as accommodating. She ask if the amount of pressure was sufficient, and I didn’t feel rushed. They both made our visit pleasant. After a long search for a massage therapist I like, I found Geidre a few years ago. She is the owner and does a fabulous job. Always runs on-​time, gives an awesome full-​body massage with the right amount of pressure and I feel better when I leave. I have been using her services for several years on a regular basis. The facility is clean, modern and comfortable. Setting up appointments is easy and If I need an additional appointment I just e-​mail her and she is great getting back very quickly.
I have also used her and an additional massage therapist who works for her in my office as an ‘employee incentive’. The staff really enjoyed the 10 — 15 minute minute neck and chair massages. Geidre gave us a great promotional package that we used to promote the event in a conference room, including sign-​up sheets and overviews. Over 40 employees enjoyed the 10 — 15 minute in-​office massages.

I visited Helping Hands looking for a massage to relieve headache, cervical and back pain. Luckily Giedra was able to see me same day! Upon arrival I took note the office is clean and welcoming. Giedra was there to greet me, I filled out a simple form and we headed back to the treatment room. I talked, she listened after a few minutes she was ready to take control. Giedra is a strong woman! She is both knowledgeable and instinctive in her practice. I received a thorough 60 minute deep tissue massage. I can say, thankfully, I did not wake this morning with a headache. I am sore (i swear I kept warm Giedra) but that is to be expected. She worked magic on all the areas that have been pinned up. I feel great and cant wait for my next appointment.
After our session she suggested I receive a consultation from Dr. Aguilar which in my mind was to be expected (I too am in sales). She noted his expertise in headaches, cervical and back pain. I am a skeptic but being of a holistic mindset… I decided to listen to what he had to say. Dr. Aguilar is nice, he is educated and explained everything with patience. I do plan on getting a second opinion next week and if all works out I will be using Helping Hands for several of my therapeutic needs.

Back in 2012, I had a cervical spinal injury. Someone recomendedme to Giedre, a Massage therapist. I was so happy to find her. After few sessions of her massages I was seeing a big difference in my neck .
She did professional, therapeutic massages and also recommended I see her husband Dr. Aguilar, a chiropractor, for adjustments. Now I’m a regular client of theirs and see them at least once a week.
I would highly recommend Giedre and Dr. Aguilar to everyone! Our health is the most important thing, which many of us don’t realize, until we have a problem.
