This moving company was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. They flawlessly moved my possessions on 2 different occasions. Each move was perfect.
They were exceptionally careful, kind, thoughtful, efficient, and very respectful. The entire process was stress free. They were amazing. Their packing materials are the highest quality.
I strongly recommend this company. You won’t be disappointed. The quote, their on time arrival, the number of movers, the packing materials, the exemplary effort, the flawless move, the care and the timing were perfect.
They went above and beyond expectations. I will most definitely hire them again.

First Class Movers was recommended to me through friends. From my first phone call to the office to the end of my move they were incredible. I would encourage anyone who is moving to use them.

With all of the horror stories I’ve heard about using movers, I was afraid to hire help during my first move. But wow, am I glad that I hired First Class. They were punctual, very hard working, efficient, and extremely professional. They did not break one item that they moved for me. I will definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

First Class movers was recommended by friends, and after an excellent move I would recommend them to other friends. The actual cost of packing and moving was very close to the quote. Everything went as planned for moving the contents of our house 2 miles.
The team communicated well with each other and treated one another with respect. They were good listeners and understood my directions easily. The packers took excellent care of our stuff, big and small.
They must have been exhausted moving us on a very hot day, but they were a pleasure to work with at every step. The staff was very gracious when we bought drinks, lunch, and gave a tip.
The only item damaged was a coffeemaker. It was well packed, but only a few months old so I made a claim since I bought insurance. The claim was resolved with a quick email to for the replacement cost of the machine.
If I had to do it again, I would certainly hire First Class.

Second time we used them – this one for moving mom – and the second great job. These guys are perfection – they are on time, they are careful with their work, and they work their butts off. They are my go-​to guys in the future!

For our fourth house move, we finally picked the right mover. We were told that the movers would arrive between 7 and 7:30 am and they arrived at 7:10. The first order of business was for the movers to put down runners to protect the house at the same time as I walked through the house with the foreman to clarify what items were not getting moved. Emptying our house proceeded carefully and quickly. When we got to our new house, the movers once again protected the flooring, marked each room and proceeded to bring our furniture and boxes into the new house carefully and efficiently. Before they finished for the day, the foreman asked me to make sure that everything was exactly where we wanted it because even if it needed to be moved a few inches, they did so. And unlike other movers who low ball the estimate to get business, our move cost less (about 15%) than the estimate. We have already recommended first class moving and storage to our friends.

I moved from the suburbs to Chicago and needed a moving company. The guys were great. It was 95 degrees and they RAN to get things done. Would highly recommend and use again!

We highly recommend First Class Movers. Their quote was the highest of three but was the most thorough so we chose them to avoid surprises. They provided sufficient labor to efficiently pack and move our 3 BR home (6 hours to pack and 6 hours to complete the move from Arlington Heights to Evanston). All movers charge by the hour plus materials and we were pleased to have the move completed in a workmanlike manner, the actual cost was 25 percent less than the estimate. The crew showed up on time and they took VG care of our belongings. We are very pleased with the service provided by this company.

I didn’t appreciate what a good move we got from First Class in January until yesterday when I helped with a friend’s move with Chicago Movers. While it was very difficult to contact our original estimator once we booked the move, the other people we spoke with in the office were able to solve our problems, including a last-​minute rescheduling when our carpet wasn’t installed. The crew arrived on time and worked carefully and efficiently. The foreman kept things moving like a well-​oiled machine so we finished the packing early. Unpacking was just as smooth, and they protected stairs and carpets at each end. The blankets and wardrobes they supplied (free) were clean. They knew how to handle a Sleep Number bed, and had their own tools. Hardly any of that was the case with the Chicago Movers crew. I’m glad we chose First Class.

i want everyone to read this if you are thinking of using this service. this company does not pays its employees overtime last time i checked this was mandatory to do so. second there is no regulation on how many days these guys work. they have worked more then 7days in a row i have seen up to 27 days with out a break really someone should investigate this company for curl labor this should not be allowed they are humans robert why are you treating them like animals. you need to play them overtime and they need days off otherwise you are using these humans for own success they are humans not animals. everyone in that office should be shamed of them self for letting this happen. i hope this place gets investigated for cheating people out of what they really deserve the workers need to get payed for the work they do. i hope robert you read this. do you even have regulation on lunch time for your workers cause what i see you dont care if they do or do not eat during the day all you care is getting more cash in your pocket. do you business the right way not by using humans and exploiting them for your own benefit

Great experience. Had to move stuff out due to some work being done in the house. The move-​out was flawless, They took good care of our stuff for a couple of weeks, and then moved us back in exactly when they said they would. One item damaged during the move and they took care of the reiumbusement right away. Heidi was great to work with. Would absolutely use them again.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I’m really upset with First Class Movers and Heidi specifically. My mother scheduled an estimate and was told that they would be at her home between 9:30−10. My mother broke her hip and has been in a rehab hospital. First Class Movers knew of her situation. I took off work to bring her home for this appointment. At 9:30, we were about 5 minutes away and called the office. Heidi informed us that the estimator had been there early and left without even getting in touch with her. We asked Heidi to please send him back and she said that it was impossible. We explained the circumstances, and she was completely unsympathetic and unwilling to help. She even suggested that my mother find other movers. I understand that it was a mix-​up– what I don’t get is the complacency and absolute lack of empathy. Well, we took her suggestion to find another mover, thanks.

On time.
Experienced. Professional. Pleasant. Courteous. Efficient. Hard working. Little to no breaks on the job.
I think one was superman in disguise.
Disassembled and thoroughly padded and wrapped oversized heavy Amish and Indian mango (incrdibly bulky) furniture sets.
Problem solved including navigating tiny 1900s stairs and hallways, including hoisting through windows on the second floor (remember snow?) .
Fair price and less than orig. estimate.
Our place looks great on our 1^st night.

I don’t recommend First Class Movers. We hired First Class Movers to move boxes and a few pieces of furniture from a basement storage space to our home’s basement, about 4 miles away. We paid our deposit (they said they didn’t need to come look at our stuff beforehand) and were given an arrival window of 11 am to 2:00 pm. At 11:30, we called First Class Movers to get a closer estimate of their arrival time and they still said no later than 2:00 p.m. At 1:00, we called again to make sure they were on time and then they gave us an arrival time of 5:00 p.m. It turned out that when they arrived at the first move of the day, the person was not packed and she had underestimated how much stuff she had. At 1:00, the movers were still packing her up. That’s why the movers were delayed until 5:00 p.m.
After I explained that a start time 3 hours after the promised range was unacceptable, and pushed them hard to come up with a solution, Heidi found another crew that had just finished a job and could do ours, too. It took them 1.5 hours to get to us but at least our move started at 4:00, rather than 5:00 (or later). Our little job took exactly 2 hours from start to finish. Moving can be an inexact science but being over 3 hours late — and as late as 5pm, at time when some buildings don’t even allow move ins/​move outs — is unacceptable. Even worse, no one from the company contacted us to tell us of the delays. WE made every single call to get those updates. Since the first move was such a mess, the first thing they should have done was call us to let us know.
Before you use First Class Movers, keep in mind that they don’t always come and check out how much stuff you have. Most professional movers do that to make sure they bring the right truck and the right number of movers. If they had done that for the moves being done on our day, they would’ve known the first person had a lot more to move than she estimated. They also would have known that our stuff was ready to go. On the day of the move, when they found the first person hadn’t packed, they could’ve left her a stack of boxes, told her to pack, done our move in 2 hours, and gone back for the other move. Instead, they were willing to let one customer wait, uninformed, and assumed that a move starting at 5:00 pm would be acceptable. It was not.
Bottom line: First Class Movers is not run professionally. They don’t come and do estimates to ensure they have the resources they need for a move. They don’t keep customers updated as delays happen and they don’t work to find solutions unless the customer spends 30 minutes on the phone demanding they address a bad situation.
On a positive note, the movers, once they showed up, were fast and efficient. Heidi, the person who seems to be the dispatch manager was polite and courteous. She never took the initiative to call us about the delays, nor did she fix the problem until I insisted she did so, but she was very polite during all of our (many) conversations.

What’s in a name? Everything. First Class Moving & Storage is truly first class.
I’ve moved a lot and used a lot of moving companies for both local and cross country moves. First Class was truly the best mover I’ve ever used.
I tend to be very cost conscious and as a habit tend to hover and urge movers to work faster. I didn’t even get a chance with First Class.
The were totally professional, fast and finished under budget.

Fast, good price and no damage. Twice.
I know you have no attention span so I tried to sum it up above. Now you can call these guys, solve your moving issues and get back to surfing for porn. Go!
In case you want details:
Used these guys twice, once to change cities and once to loan a U-​Haul type deal that we drove out-​of-​state. Both times the price was good — in the lower middle of the quote pack. Both times they took care of our things and moved fast. The city-​to-​city move involved a 5 bedroom house and took three days. So we really go to see First Class at work. Their crew was respectful, professional and not a signgle item was lost or damaged.
I’ve moved more than 10 times. I have seen some shitty movers. I have endured pointless insurance claims that didn’t compensate me for broken stuff, late losers who left me standing and even friends who didn’t show up despite the promise of free beer.
Hire First Class, They really are.

I have used First Class twice now; once to move my office and recently to move from my downtown Chicago condo out to the NW suburbs. Both moves were handled with care, consideration and in a timely fashion. The actual movers were terrific and very careful with our furniture. My suggestion, if you’re thinking about using First Class Movers, is to request Sergio as your «crew chief». He was absolutely the best and made the move very easy for us. First Class is truly «First Class».

We’ve been in the same home for 12 years and did not relish the thought of moving our 3BR, 2BA house full of stuff. First Class Moving made the entire thing as pleasant as possible! They were professional, responsive and efficient from the folks I initially spoke to at the office, to the fellow they sent to the house to prepare the estimate, and especially the foreman George and his crew (total of 5 guys in two trucks) who showed up on time, as scheduled, on the day of the move.
We’ve used other companies in the past for smaller moves who have shown up late, taken more time, cost much more money, and have not offered anything close to the level of service that First Class gave us on this move. The overall move took 5 hours (estimate was 8) — and came in a few hundred dollars UNDER the estimate! And they did not comprise on being careful, even though they were fast. Not a scratch, not a dent, not a chip on any single item. I would strongly recommend First Class to anyone needing professional movers. I hope we stay put for a long time, but if and when we ever do make another move, we will only call First Class.

This was the fourth time that I have used First Class Moving and Storage and as with the previous three times they completed the job professionally, courteously, ahead of the expected time completion. In addition, they were slightly under the estimated budget.
I have to confess that we were a little stressed because we hadn’t had time to pack everything and once they had moved the big stiff they moved in to help finish what we couldn’t and we were still done early.
Also worthy of mention is their professional approach to planning the move. We worked with Heidi and she was amazing to deal with. Most moves are stressful enough but their staff are easy to work with, understand your stress and are get your questions answered quickly.
I would highly recommend this moving team to anyone !
