We had heard great things about Castinos, and clearly the Unilocal reviews go both ways. It is safe to say that I will never use them again, and I will never recommend their work to anyone who wants a job well done with stucco.
The company came out to review the job and provide a quote. They offered an open ended hourly contract… estimate was about 13,500 and the total in the end was about 16,300. We were hesitant, but went with it. The first problem was the communication. They did not return calls and the showed up to do work unannounced. Luckily, we were home. The stucco repairs were done, but there seemed to be a lot of cracking. And worse, the surface of the stucco in many areas was totally uneven. The workers assured us that the paint job would solve this.
Two weeks after the stucco, the painters arrived. There was no notice that they were coming, and we hadn’t even selected our paint color. The painters were quick and neat. The paint job was okay. But when the paint dried and the job was done the stucco issues were just as apparent. The walls of my house are uneven. There are spots where you can clearly see that the area was patched. The cracks are still very much evident. And scraps of stucco and paint chips fill my garden.
My husband called the company and the estimator came out to take a look. His response was if we wanted more work done, it would cost us more money — essentially, he was saying that more work did need to be done, but we would have to pay.
In the end, we would have been better off saving a bit more money and going with another company. DO NOT use them for stucco jobs if your expectations are high.

Castino used to be a quality company. I have used there services for many years. They must be having financial problems because they are not doing the job they used to do. When i asked the owner to check on the poor painting job that his workers did, he responded by saying i will put you into collections. This is not a the normal response that a good business owner should give. A responsible business owner want a good customer review and good feedback. This owner is definitely having problems.

Expensive… We needed our carpet cleaned after back up sewage water entered our home during a storm (finished basement) so we contacted Castino (we have two young boys and feared mold would form so we pretty much called the first company to come out). Castino charged $ 150 for the estimate visit, $ 1,137 for the cleanup and estimated to replace the padding/​stretch carpet/​replace baseboards for ~$ 700. I feel they unnecessarily removed (dry) padding and lifted the carpet so they have more «square feet» to charge for restoring it… After speaking with Cathy (1) The $ 150 WAS charged separately but no where on the invoice is the $ 150 credited (they are not clear about things verbally or on paper) (2) She will request for you to contact her and then she will be the most unprofessional manager you’ll ever speak to, she will attack you… Raising her voice and hang up on you (3) I stand by my claim that carpet was unnecessarily lifted when the padding wasn’t removed below it… She even asked if furniture was removed from the room (NO!) as to try to justify the cost (4) For someone with 16 years of experience, you would expect better customer service

I have used Castino on two occasions now for the same job. Patching up stucco boards on my house. Both times job was done on time and well. Workers were polite. Would use again.

We had sewage in our basement after a bad storm. Castino Painting arrived within a few hours of our call. They cleaned up the sewage, disinfected the furniture, tore up and hauled away the carpeting that was spoiled. Great job on a moment’s notice. Thank you, Castino Painting.

I contacted Castino Painting because I originally saw that they had good reviews on Angie’s List. I needed my condo painted. The estimator, Eric came by quickly and he was professional. He measured my living room, kitchen and master bedroom and emailed me a quote later that evening. I scheduled with Venus and the painters were at my house a couple days later. I must say, they did a great job painting! I am very happy with them. They cleaned up after themselves and the quality of the paint job was terrific. The guys even did a little extra for me and moved my couch to the other side of the room. I am pleased!

Castino Painting and Home Services is the best! I used them for the first time when my basement flooded during that horrible storm in 2011. I had about a foot of water in my basement. They dried the walls, carpet, disenfected the entire basement and saved a bunch of my furniture that was a hand me down from my late mother. I had no power for about 3 days (which they brought generators over at no cost to help save my food). Best of all I did not have to have 3 – 4 different companies to hanlde my loss. Castino fixed the plumbing, water remediation, and rebuilt my basement to look better than it did before the flood. I will always use Castino for all my home projects and needs.

I noticed one of their signs in a yard down the street from me so I figured I would give them a call to have them estimate my interior paintwork on my house. I like how cost conscious they were. I wanted a nice job but did not want to spend a fortune and I liked that they were able to tailor their services to fit my needs and also work within my budget. They were timely on all fronts from the pricing, to the work itself. I’m a fanatic about clean tape lines. They went the extra mile to make sure the paintwork was excellent and even walked me through the finished product to make sure it was acceptable. Most importantly they did a great job of covering up all my furniture and floors etc… The only thing they left behind was the smell of new paint, which makes me enjoy my place that much more now.
All in all I would highly recommend them as a great option for any paintwork you need. I am planning on doing some exterior paintwork this spring and I look forward to working with them again.

The did a great Job, The can all the way down to the city for a few projects in my house. They were done fast, neat, and on budget!!! I would recommend anyone use them.
