The place was dark and dirty. It had an unclean smell. Only 1 server was working. We waited 15 minutes before no one took our order for food and walked out. Really disappointed, I wanted a local sushi place to be good.

I’ve eaten sushi at so many places in the region and around the country. It pains me to say so about a place which I would like to support, as it’s fairly local to me, but this place is kind of aweful. I’ve given it four times; once a couple of months after they first opened to allow them to get it together and three times after, yesterday being the latest and the last visit. The only kind remark I can make is to the server who was friendly and tried to be helpful. I ordered a cucumber salad and it came with fish on top. Nowhere on the menu did it describe the fact that it had fish on it. The sushi had rice which was considerably, and obviously not fresh and actually had hard rice in it nor were the vegetables fresh, which were in the sushi. Beyond that, the fact that even I can wrap sushi more properly and at least two of the pieces of sushi were slightly unraveled with little to no points for any semblance of a presentation attempt. In the Japanese culture presentation is everything, particularly with sushi dishes where it gives a chef an opportunity to be creative and shine. In addition, the sushi was terribly bland. When the waitress asked the sushi chef to correct our order, he walked away and gave dirty looks not only to her, but to us as we sat at the bar waiting for our food, before he decided to correct the order. I’m not sure if that was a language barrier or he was just frustrated. If it was a language issue that behavior is excusable. The noodle dish tasted watered down(as in dish water) and was pretty awful with limp and tasteless vegetables. If it were the first time I had a bad experience here, I would most certainly not be writing this, but three times really means it just is not a very good place. We will go to Westborough or Milford for sushi night, for sure. I wish the owners the best and hope they make some dramatic improvements in order to make it. I’m completely confused by good reviews and can only explain it by noting that northbridge has so few restaurant offerings, pepole will accept below mediocre.

Absolutely love this place! The food is absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Every time my husband and I dine there, the service is excellent! The staff is so welcoming and stay right on top of things. Our favorite server is Toni. Yes we go so often, we’ve learned the staff name’s. Whether Toni is running tables or on the bar we always look forward to having her because she’s a go getter, bubbly personality and always goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect! Another excellent staff member is Carrissa, who we usually see at the bar. She makes a amazing Mai tai and she’s so cheery and funny! Always smiling. She makes it a great experience. The restaurant is very clean and most importantly they offer GLUTEN free items!

Love this place but I wish they had a section on the menu for non alcoholic drinks. It was very nice though and I loved the sushi

This was our second time here as we thoroughly enjoyed our experience last time. the first red flag, we got there at.11:30. The sign on the door said 11:30 for opening. We gave it 10 minutes and then called. The woman on the phone had such a cruddy attitude and said«well we don’t open until like noon»…the attitude was the next red flag. And when they finally opened, we weren’t greeted, but she said«need highchairs?» And proceeded to push remnants of yesterday’s food off. She put the chairs at a table several feet away from the door where we stood and said«all set» as she walked seat. Third red flag. She never told us her name(lucky for her the receipt did and her name was Kelly)… And never asked if we wanted an appetizer Even though it was lunchtime, we ordered two dinner meals($ 20 each)… And yet. still cruddy. Never asked how anything was, we had to ask for refills. She greeted and giggled with other tables. The food is great but if she’s ever working again if(and a big if) I go back I’m going to leave. Don’t work in this business if you can’t deal with it.

Been here a number of times and have loved everything. Greats apps, dinners from the hibachi are plentiful and tasty however the sushi is really what I go there for. The lady in red and the rock n roll are two of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had, packed full of flavor and texture so so so good don’t even bother with the soy sauce, wasabi or ginger for them they are perfect on their own!

Only had the sushi(Boston roll and some basic rolls) and they were pretty ‘meh’. Pretty skimpy on the fish, rice seemed a bit smashed and it wasn’t super flavorful. Might have been better with some alcohol… Service was prompt and friendly.

My first visit. Decided super last minute to grab take out here last night. It was 8:40PM and I was hungry after hitting the gym. I was in the mood for sushi and remembered Kyoto was in town now. Pros and Cons: Pros: — I was able to arrive at 8:45PM and put in an order of crab rangoons and sushi and the wait was not long. — The bartender was helpful in explaining the menu and the differences between items. — Cost was appropriate. — Food was tasty and hit the spot. The tuna sushi looked and smelled pleasant and tasted good. I ate it last night and had no problems(I’m only writing this because I am always a bit worried of trying new foods/restaurants, especially raw fish)! — Décor was really awesome — totally modern and not overdone or gaudy, not too fancy but totally classy. — Parking is in a huge plaza that I have never ever seen full — so you will always be able to park in this lot. — Right next to Harry’s Pizza if you want to drop your older, trust-worthy kids off there and have a grown-ups only«date night» 3 doors down without crossing the street. — Seemed like a well stocked bar — though I didn’t look at drink menu. Cons: — Nothing as of yet… — — — — — — – Totally coming back and bringing friends! Finally… a place in town I want to go to!

Yum!!! I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago and I can’t wait to go back! It’s a small place, but the décor is nice and the menu is amazing — so much variety. I got the Arizona roll which was delicious! My boyfriend got the hibachi chicken, he ended up having leftovers because there was so much food! The bar takes up almost half the restaurant but I think it’d be a great place to meet friends after work for a drink. Nice atmosphere, yummy drinks, great food & the wait staff was awesome. I will definitely be back!

Very disappointed in this Whitinsville restaurant when the bill came. We ordered off the lunch menu(about 1:30). But they charged us for the dinner entrée. They never informed us that they don’t do the lunch menu on Saturday, just the dinner menu. But we were served the lunch portion. They pulled the olé Bait ‘n Switch on us.

Strong Mai Tai’s! Took my wife here for Valentines Day. Few hours later we were both throwing up together drunk. Not the perfect date night, but definitely a funny memory to look back on after the fact!

So glad my wife and I decided to brave the cold and get dinner out. I had a Sapporo Silver and my wife had a Mai Tai. Must say the«egg rolls» were a bit on the small side and at $ 4 not the best deal. For the entrée, we split the Sushi dinner for two deal for $ 45. Not terrible price considering all the food you get. Starts with a flavorful miso soup and a salad with a sesame soy dressing. Your choice of 2 Special Rolls and chef’s choice of 10 sushi and 10 sashimi. We had the Black Dragon and the Spicy Tuna. The chefs choices were tuna, sea bass, salmon and swordfish. The ginger that accompanied it was sweet and super tasty. The waitress was pleasant, attentive and meet our needs. The next time we have a craving for sushi we know where to go.

OMG. being regulars at Kyoto in Worcester, the bartender told us that they opened a location in Whitinsville. My husband’s family is from Uxbridge and it was perfect. They never wanted to drive to Worcester so we got them to join us in Whitinsville. The experience was incredible. The staff was so friendly, my in laws who had never had sushi was recommended the Holiday Roll. TODIEFOR. Then they had dinners, filet mignon and lobster. I introduced them to the white sauce. LIFECHANGING.

Went there for lunch. Location is in the former Friendlies on a somewhat low scale lot consisting of a pizza place and a variety store. Inside the place looks decent. The bar is definitely the centerpiece of the restaurant, as it takes up pretty much the whole wall facing the street. if you are a drinker you will like it. Service was a little slow, but we got there right after opening when others were coming in too. Not a big deal. The real tablecloths are nice as are the cloth napkins. Utensils and plates are good too. The crab rangoon appetizer was ok. The main courses were Teriyaki-based as should be expected in a Japanese restaurant. They were ok, but quite salty. Nothing to write home about. I also have to mention that the 70’s easy rock music did not quite fit in with the place. Kind of weird hearing the Carpenters and Lionel Richie while the Pats are on a big screen TV some 15 feet away. Not exactly an authentic experience.
