I was visiting family for Christmas and the trackpad on my macbook pro broke. Even though they were overwhelmed with other jobs they managed to squeeze me in and fix my computer in a day. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They didn’t even charge me for the missing part only labor. If my computer gets a tummy ache again(which I hope it doesn’t) and I’m in Northampton I will definitely bring it back to Left-Click. Thanks guys!

I thought I would try left click as a change from the other local Mac store when I inherited an older laptop with battery issues. I asked the employee if she could quickly check to see if the problem was with the battery or computer, without checking it in for a $ 49 diagnostic. She was willing and plugged it into their system. She reported that the laptop wouldn’t even recognize my battery and recommended a new one. «Can we put the new one in just to make sure everything works?» I asked. «No, I can’t open the packaging here,» she answered. «But if it doesn’t work you can return it.» This seemed like an odd response but I bought the battery($ 137, yikes) and headed off to try it. Did not fix the problem so I was back that afternoon to return it. Found the same employee there who said she’d be happy to refund my money — minus a 15% restocking fee because it had been opened! Yes, it turns out this information was in tiny print on the receipt, and yes, it suddenly made sense why she didn’t want to open it in the store earlier. But she never said a word about the restocking fee when I told her my problem or plans. When I protested, she brought out an «assistant manager» who explained patiently that his business would lose money if he gave me a full refund because he couldn’t sell the battery as new. I countered that in a situation such as this, it is common for businesses to be willing to lose money in order to keep a long-term customer. He wouldn’t budge and began claiming he didn’t have the authority to refund the restocking fee. And so I paid it, but assured them that my business from now on would be going down to the other store, and I would be sure to let prospective customers know of my experience.

Several area computer repair shops were unable to fix my Sony laptop. One could not get parts, the other was unable to open the case! Left-click was quick, efficient, and did a professional job.
