East Heaven

The spa itself is nice but customer service is very disappointing. After they erroneously charged my card for $ 80 almost a month ago, I had to follow up four times in an attempt to be refunded. It has been extremely frustrating that no one on the staff has made any real effort to solve the problem, and shocking that no compensation has been offered for their mistake and my trouble. Be sure to check your credit card statement after going here!

We’ll be back, again. Nice place to get away, and get some relaxation in. Very clean, very friendly staff, very affordable for a mini splurge or a moderate treat, for virtually all incomes.
They are also very generous the time if you are not going in on a busy day, which I appreciate and don’t want to take advantage of. Good will deserves good will.
I have used the wooden tubs, which are quite comfortable. Nice low seats for a tall person.
Great work. I hope to come back when it’s snowing to get an outdoor tub! If it’s not too cold they keep them open. Heaven, indeed!
Addendum. I got the spa and massage package earlier in the year. It was great. Excellent masseuse. I don’t know his name, but highly professional and skilled. My girlfriend had a slightly more mediocre massage experience toward the end of her massage, so it may vary a bit. I’m betting there are a few review tips in that regard. Bliss out!

This past week we had a couples massage package which was gifted to us. We booked a late evening hot tub time as well as our one hour massages. Below were the highlights.
1. The staff here is incredibly polite and East Heaven is really warm and comfortable.
2. The time in the hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed the fact that we were able to choose the music playing in the background.
3. When it was time for our massages, our message therapists were incredible and I have never felt so relaxed in my life.
Overall, we loved this spa and would book again in the future.

I had been going here for 20 years. I needed to reschedule an appointment for the next day and they charged me, after I have spent literally thousands of dollars there. Told them they’d be loosing a very faithful customer. They didn’t care.

Slightly overpriced. However, for the experience of sharing a steamy hot tub on a cool summer night with your sweetie, then truly learning what the definition of relaxation is with a wonderful massage afterwards, it’s totally worth it.
Tips: ask for Dave, get the outside hot tub, go later at night for more peaceful service.

Update: James is no longer there but don’t worry… Dave is just as good if not better. Gives new meaning to deep tissue. I am always worried that massage therapists will not go deep enough (it’s happened too many times) but Dave can and will deliver. He’s also professional, thoughtful, and cool.
Tubs and general ambience still amazing.

Absolutely amazing!!! My husband surprised me while we are on vacation from San Diego and it was wonderful! We did a half hour in the outdoor tub, which for me was plenty of time to relax and enjoy the benefits of the water, and then headed inside for our massage. No chlorine! Which is awesome! But still crystal clear, clean water. And the outdoor space is very private so you feel comfortable. The facilities were very nice and clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional! We cannot wait to come here again, hopefully when there is some snow!

Holy Hot Tub!
Pay the extra few $$ for an outdoor tub (weather permitting, of course) and venture up the stairs and you will feel as though you are in a tree house. Take a quick shower right next to the tub and then hop on in, and let yourself wonder «why don’t I have this at home?» and «how is it that this is my FIRST TIME HERE?!».
Meters right out front are only for a few minutes, but there is a town parking lot just a block down on the same side (small, 15 cars or so) for 25 cents an hour. Or a parking garage across the street.

I had a prenatal massage here today that was truly incredible. Soula was my masseuse and expertly listened to and addressed my concerns. She even took the time to stretch my hip flexors, which was an added bonus! I don’t remember feeling as good as I did after my massage today. I’d highly recommend East Heaven and Soula!

I visited East Heaven for the first time today and was lucky enough to have my massage done with Sarah. She was incredibly personable and professional throughout the experience. She listened and understood my needs and was very receptive to my requests. I have been experiencing pain in my right shoulder blade lately and Sarah’s work certainly helped to alleviate the pain.
Sarah has a gentle energy that made me feel very comfortable. Her technique is excellent and she really knows how to massage deep into the tissue. Overall, the massage was so relaxing and felt amazing! I hope to return soon.

We planned a night away and stayed at a local hotel for this experience. I give this place 5 stars because the experience and massage were amazing! It was clean and relaxing. Our couples massage had perfect pressure for both myself and my husband who seek different amounts of pressure. We booked for an indoor room due to this winter be exceptionally cold here in Ma! I do wish we had booked for outdoors because the water was a little hot for my liking and but I think if we were in the cold air it would have been perfect. I had to take breaks during our hot tub time and sit on the edge for a few minutes because the water was hotter then my liking. I LOVE how private the rooms were. Our masseuses were incredible! Very professional and certainly looking to give you exactly what you want. And I have to mention honest… I was in a massage induced fog when we left and completely forgot my wedding ring in the massage room. I was called about 5 minutes after leaving to tell me that they had my jewelry and were holding it at the front desk. For this I will be endlessly grateful.
I don’t know how many times we said to each other during our time at East Heaven that if we lived closer we would be there all the time! It is well worth the money and the drive for us. We will be back.

I went for out door spa with my husband for our anniversary.
We didn’t have any problem making a reservation.
I booked for a 1hr our door hot tub, and 1hr couple’s massage.
The tubs are completely private.
The staff show you the facility, lead you to the outdoor hot tub, show you the showers and everything. It was 15 degrees outside, and the tub was very warm (hot), and nice. It was such an amazing experience to relax outside being hot.
We also enjoyed out massage session as well.
After we shower, we went into the spa lounge, and waited for our session.
Our massage was great. Therapists adjusted their pressure to our liking.
It was very soothing and relaxing.
Overall, I liked this spa. Then why 4 stars?
They don’t have a separate changing room.
So if you are using outdoor tub, you have to shower in very cold weather, and get changed there. Since it was too cold, we went inside, and changed in their bathroom. That was the only downfall. The staff told us that usually people don’t complain about changing in the bathroom, or outside.
So, note to yourself, there are NOT any changing rooms.
Other than that, everything else is great

This was another surprise my girlfriend planned on our weekend away! I always talked about how I should get a massage before and after my marathon and she was definitely listening!
When we walked in, we were greeted by the front desk and checked in. We each were given a bag that has some things in it like slippers, towel and a robe! They lead us upstairs and we entered in a private outdoor jacuzzi that was just for her and I! I was so surprised but couldn’t wait to get in the hot tub! Granted it was cold out, sitting in the hot tub was so nice! We sat in the tub for 30 minutes then were buzzed to come back down to the main room.
Once we got there, we were greeted again by the ladies who were giving us out massages! It was actually a couples massage! Yay! We went into the room and and they gave us options of oils to use! Of course without realizing we both chose lavender! I can smell it now as I’m writing this!
They came in 10 minutes later and gave us our massages! It was a lovely hour massage and they checked in to see how we are doing and if the pressure was good! It was so relaxing and just nice to have a massage in the same room as my girlfriend! She put a lot of effort into this and I still can’t say enough about this place! I know we are going to go back again!!!

I came in to use a gift card for a Paradise Massage. I went for the deep-​tissue massage (an additional $ 10). The place is very clean and the staff members are very nice and accommodating. However, I did not find their massage services to be absolutely amazing. The room was a bit chilly. I got a massage for 60 minutes and for the most part, still feel the same. I didn’t think the massage therapist did a good job at getting rid of the knots. When I told her what my weak spots were, her reaction was rather indifferent. Overall it was not very relaxing, I still feel the same and I’d rather go to a massage place that is more affordable and where the therapists actually ask you what you want/​need. Oh well.

This is a wonderful place.
My wife any I booked a couples massage for our anniversary. We sat in the outdoor wooden hot tub on the top floor for 30 minutes and then went downstairs for a wonderful 60 minute massage. It was so much better than anything we had experienced in New York City.
The place is very clean, they use massage therapists that are licensed by the State of Massachusetts, and everyone is very professional.
They run a first class operation in my/​our view.

Absolutely such an awesome way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Booked a couples massage and tub soak for hubs and I. It was amazing.
We requested an outdoor tub and showed up a bit early, so we got to have it for a little extra time. Although soaking for longer than a half hour, gets hot and you can get antsy.
The bell rings which lets you know you have 5 minutes left. We got out, rinsed off and headed to our massages.
I had James for my massage and my left trap and neck/​Shoulder were really sore. He had the perfect amount of pressure and worked out the kinks. It was one of the best massages I have every had.
Husband had Sarah and he had a deep tissue massage and he enjoyed it and said she had strong hands.
I love everything about this place. If you are looking for a place to have some quiet time, I highly recommend East Heaven. Even if you don’t get a massage, its relaxing just to soak in the tub for a few.
You can bet I am booking monthly massages from now on and asking for James!

My boyfriend and I booked our 1hr outdoor hot tub a few weeks ago for 01÷05÷14. We went at our scheduled time and upon checking in I was informed that ALL the outdoor tubs were broken, including the showers. They stated they tried to reach my phone and left a message. I never got any calls or voice mails so something tells me they dialed wrong. They put aside an indoor room for us, which I went with because I already drove 40mins to get there. We chose our music and put our boots in the bins they had. We waited maybe 5 minutes to get in our room which was great. However, during that 5 minute wait… We witnessed one of the workers escort two ladies to the roof/​OUTDOOR tubs for their appt… I thought they were ALL broken. Wth? I have a feeling someone made a scheduling error and they were trying to cover it up. My boyfriend wasn’t too happy. I told him to let it go because we were there to relax, regardless.
We get inside the room and I was impressed with the size of the tub. It was like a huge wooden bucket. I also thought it was nice to have our music playing that we chose and then have the shower right outside the tub in case we needed to cool off.
OK, so here are the downfalls, they go from major to minor downfalls— No one cares about the good stuff, right?
1. Scheduling Issue/​«Broken outdoor tubs»
2. Customer Service– This tied in with the scheduling issue. However, I am grateful that they held an indoor tub for us.
3. Employees/​Environment outside of the tub room — I didn’t like how lazy everything was for a spa. It didn’t meet a typical spa standard for me. It was crowded and the space was small to wait in. Also… I feel like the employees are a bit young/​unprofessional looking. Like the one kid was wearing skinny jeans and a beanie on his head. The workers weren’t dressed like you were going into a clean, professional spa.
4. The temp of the water in the tub— You can’t change it! It was a standard temp of «too hot for me.» I couldn’t tolerate the hot temp very long. I wish I could have turned it down.
5.The moisture and steam were trapped in the room with no air or vents.
6.There was only a jet going around the tub to hit your low back, or upper. You couldn’t get your whole back at the same time. I was SUPER disappointed there were no jets for your legs or feet. I stood on the bench in the tub most of the time to get my calves. OH! also… the low back jet is uhh… really low. As in you might get some unwanted action from it if you move the wrong way.
7. My music faded in and out of the speakers there was a solid 20mins with no music. The speakers went out.
8. They don’t give you a bag to take your wet suit home in if you wear one.
9. No mirrors in the room to check yourself before you walk out looking like a crazy person into a crowed room.
I think I will return again because they do offer decent rates and discounts on certain days, and there aren’t many competitors for this kind of spa. It was relaxing regardless of some of the annoyances.

AHHHHH. This place is an absolute gem!
My first trip here was a surprise and I can’t wait to go back! Our hot tub soak was amazing, and I enjoy the personal touch of being able to play your own music throughout.
Following our soak, we enjoyed a couples massage. We had the option to select our choice of massage oils. Our masseuses were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Great place to melt your stress away!

Relaxing soaks in lovely spas and sweet memories of my time in Hamp. Before east heaven, I had never been to a hot tub place. The idea sounded promising, but also brought up visions of vile bath houses. So so so silly. East Heaven is a little oasis — from the music and fireplace, to the odd walk up the outdoor stairway to the roof tubs — and the whole place feels like california redwood (probaly co it is) but this was before I’d ever even been to California.
Go here. Get over your anxiety. Bring a friend, better yet a lover. I once went with my beau on his birthday — January 6^th and we sat our asses in the snow between soaks. How awesome — and I hate the cold. Then we even saw a double rainbow — I shit you not! Of course there was a guy on his roof in the house next door on Green Street who could see us in all our nakedness once we were standing — but who cares when you’re that zen?
I’ve tried other hot tub places since discovering east heaven — they fall at least a bit short every time.

I never expected that nestled away near Smith College, there would be an Asian-​themed spa that felt like stepping into the Miyazaki movie, ‘Spirited Away’!
Man what a dream-​come-​true this was, we (my boyfriend and I went for a double birthday present to each other) definitely want to go back. We did the half hour in the the indoor tun with hour long massage. The indoor tub was so big, and the room was lovely. Dark, and felt like a Japanese bathhouse. They had a huge selection of music to chose to listen to– or you could bring your ipod and plug it in and listen while in the tub. It was so relaxing and awesome. Our massages were also great– the masseuses were attentive and made sure we were comfortable. My massage was a little painful because I had so many knots– but she sure got them out so I was happy for that!
Overall: I found our package price to be fair overall, and the experience to be great. We are planning on going to one of the outdoor tubs sometime this winter.
