Crumb cakes and me, well, it’s never been a great relationship. They’re almost always super dry and not all that flavorful, but I was in the North Tonawanda Farmers’ Market and I was starving and the Lawson’s people had samples.
Me and Lawson’s Top Shelf Crumb Cakes are besties.
Moist, rich, packed full of flavor. Would buy one again in a heartbeat.

I was walking through the North Tonawanda Farmers Market and stumbled upon the Lawson’s Top Shelf stand. I went over, and had a sample. It was a large sample, and melt in your mouth deliciousness. The Co owner told me that her husband was the one who developed the recipe 40 years ago and that he makes it. I asked if I could purchase the apple crumb cake and was told that there was no fruit or nuts in the cake. It sure tasted like apples were in there. Pure heaven! It was $ 7.
