Michelle at Willow Salon was so thoughtful on our wedding day. She set up yummy food and drinks for us to enjoy while we got our hair and makeup done. We had the whole salon to ourselves and she even provided champagne for the big day. The salon arranged for the makeup artist Danielle Keefe to come in and she did a great job! We also had a woman that specialized in up-​dos (we think her name was Emily) that took all our hair worries away. She was a magician with hairpins and a curling iron. We highly recommend this salon for your wedding!

Just got back from the most amazing hour-​long facial from Michelle at Willow!
First, Michelle has opened her own cozy spa so please do not associate her with past reviews of the larger Willow Salon. This new space is decorated in cozy, funky warm style, with jewelry, teas, and unique décor. Michelle herself is warm, relaxed, and immediately connects with you. We talked about my skin and what she recommended. I then relaxed on the heated bed for the next hour and melted! Her techniques in cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and massage were just fantastic. The last half was a head and facial massage that I nearly fell asleep into. Following the massage, I was served hot cinnamon tea and a yummy lemon biscotti. This salon is unlike those bustling, noisy busy salons. I can’t wait to go back and can hopefully take advantage of her membership, which is a facial every other month for the year. Ahhhh!

I really wanted to love this place but it was a disappointment. On arriving I was greated by the owners daughter. She was so lovely and professional and only a teen very impressed. Then things changed. I waited for my facial. No one said anything about that. It was comfortable waiting area. Then some young woman came in like a bat out of hell barking orders at the the owners daughter she was all over the place. I thought if she owns this place I am out of here. She did not come to find out just worked there then she left. I found it funny only one client in the place getting a facial treatment. No one else. Then the owner breezes out. She is a wonderful person she volunteers in different counties a nice person she is the owner and esthetician. She has only had a few facials 2 or 3 when she went to school 4 years ago. I have had at least 100 so I know a little about this. She was going to use a clarosonic to do my face. If I wanted that. I have 2 at home. And does she use a new head for each person maybe I don’t know but the heads (brush part) cost me 25 bucks each. It wasn’t like I had a facial it was like I just had a friend do some stream and put some creams on my face and whiped them off. Certainly not a professional. I am glad I used a groupon it was not even worth that. She is so lovely I hated to write this but I don’t want my fellow spa goers to waist their money. I hope she reads this. She (I don’t know her name) needs to go to all the spas in the area and see what other estheticians are doing. Her skills are lacking. Also they have water tea etc there for customers and I went to take a drink and she said don’t take that it’s been sitting there since the weekend. The jug was half full. This is mid week why hasn’t it been dumped. Place looked clean enough but after that how clean could they be. I do wish her the best nice person maybe in the wrong profession. I liked how the spa was decorated maybe interior design would be a better chose.

I went in on a Tuesday (because they say they are open full service, not by appointment only like Sundays and Mondays) to get a gift certificate. I was on my way to a dentist appointment with my son and I just popped in. There was a woman giving someone a haircut and when I walked in and she looked up and said «Can I help you?.» I told her yes I was just looking to purchase a gift card. She said «Sure, could you just come back in 15 minutes?». I told her that I couldn’t and she just looked away and started talking with the woman getting the haircut. So I left. Now maybe there was a good reason for this but since I was offered no explanation, I’ll never know. Pretty horrible customer service and I won’t be back. I’ll get the gift I was looking to purchase at a different salon.

I recently visited Willow Spa for a groupon Spa Mani/​Pedi with hot stone massage and parrafin hand treatment. My nail tech was Danielle and she was fabulous! Very polite, talked me through finding the place on the phone until I arrived, and greeted me, made me tea, made sure I was comfortable, and overall was a comfy, warm experience. I felt like I was in my bedroom, the décor was beautiful and I liked the cozy feel of the salon. Danielle took her time, did not rush through any service, kept checking if the temperatures of water and hot stones were okay for me, she talked to me and stayed professional at the same time. I will happily go back and recommend Danielle, she did a fabulous job with my mani and pedi and the massage was awesome!

Today I went to Willow for the first time and it was a really good experience! I knew of the place because a few members of my family get their hair done there by Erin – they love her.
It appears some Unilocalers don’t care for Willow’s small, eclectic space and funky merchandise, but I found it all kind of charming. Everyone has different tastes, and this place’s casual vibe works for me. It’s warm and has personality. Being offered wine while I was waiting for my appointment was also a nice touch. :-)
Michelle, the esthetician, took the time to assess my skin’s needs, and asked the right questions to ensure my facial was just what I wanted. It felt like a fully customized experience with just the right balance of treatment and pure relaxation.
Before leaving, I made plans to return and even got a gift card for my mom so she can enjoy some personal pampering, too!

Had several appts at this salon. Good color. Cut and style was not quite what I wanted, and I don’t think the stylist was that interested in my feedback. Small salon, seemed somewhat cluttered, and never really felt comfortable there.

I had a great experience at Willow Salon. I bought the LivingSocial Deal for a facial and it was more than worth it. So much time and effort was put into making my skin look great. I have pretty bad acne on my chin, she took extra care in the extraction process and even recommending a product, Acnomel from Amazon. My only complaint is that you can hear the hair salon right outside the double doors next to the facial room. Other than that it was an awesome experience and my face looked really good after!

Went here for the first time with an online deal for a 1 hr facial (Normally the usual $ 75, but I lucked out with a $ 39 deal). It’s a cute little spot right near downtown Cohasset– full service salon– parking on the street. It’s a bit hidden if you don’t know where you are looking to go. I have very sensitive and complicated skin, and have stayed away from facials for a while since estheticians usually are far too rough on my skin, but Deby did a great job! She listened to my concerns, used very gentle products, and I left with my skin feeling wonderful. It stayed soft, vibrant and moisturized for a long time, but I didn’t walk out of the salon looking super greasy or irritated like I have in the past at other spas. The facial included a deep cleaning– wash, light steam, Clarisonic, extraction, mask, and face/​shoulder/​hand massage. It was supposed to be an hour, but she took a little extra time with me, which I appreciated. At the end, I wasn’t pressured to buy any products or urged to commit to a follow-​up appointment. I was given a few recommendations but when I mentioned wanting to wait a few days to see how my skin reacted, the staff was exceptionally understanding. It’s a pretty small place, but nicely decorated; the salon sells jewelry, products and other cute gifts. When I was there, a wedding party getting primped for a big day– the facial room was just on the other side of a rather thin wall, but Deby did a great job keeping me relaxed– I managed to eventually fall completely asleep amid the excitement happening just next door! 4 stars only because it was a little loud and difficult to find, but I know that not every weekend will be a bridal weekend, and now I know where I’m going! Great experience– I will definitely return.

My husband purchased a Groupon for me that this salon. In January when I called to book the appointment I was informed that I could be serviced in March, as that was the first booking for a mani-​pedi, but could get a spa facial for the same rate, and in about 2 weeks. I did this but since it was a 2 for, I also booked the mani-​pedi for March.
When I arrived for the first appoinment I was a little taken back by the clutter in the shop, but thought maybe it was a bad day. There was jewlery, scarves, and other assorted bric-​à-​brac all over. The facial was wonderful and the technician was very professional. Definately would use her again. However…
I went yesterday for the mani-​pedi. I was prompt in arriving and was greeted nicely, by the reception. After waiting 15 minutes the manicurist came over and told me’ a few minutes’ more. When was brought into the manicure aea.wow. I was seated in on old overstuffed chair with multiple throws on it. The foot spa consisted of putting my feet in a tub of water. The girl was nice enough, but the whole place gave an overall impression of ‘not too clean’ and not too caring,.The polish selection was great, if you like green. I was told the owner’s 15 year old daughter did so much of the polish was that color, and a few other colors to select from.
When I was waiting for my nails to dry I was shocked to see the manicurist seat the next customer and begin the pedicure with the same utensils that she used on me!
After sitting for a while when the manicurist focused on the other customer, I finally decided to leave. She never offered a quick dry spray, or even checked my nails, just said ‘ok’.
just sayin’ the clutter was still there, but I won’t be.

I went here on a Groupon. The Groupon was for 2 mani/​pedis with hot stone foot massage. I called to book my appointment about 2 weeks after buying the Groupon and was told that they were really booking out pretty far for the mani/​pedi but they offered me a facial (which is the same price) instead. I jumped on it cause I really just needed a little pampering! The salon/​spa is small but really cute. Michelle was my aesthetician. She was AMAZING! I have had facials before where the aestetician talks throughout the whole facial and tries to sell you every product she uses. Michelle did neither of those things! She looked at my skin and made an appropriate treatment recommendation based on my skin type. When we were getting started she said «this is your time, just let me know if it’s too much of something or not enough» and she didn’t talk for the rest of the facial. She even did an eye treatment and a lip treatment which I have actually paid extra for in other spas. My experience was so relaxing and my skin looks awesome! I will definitely go back to Willow for a facial and I’m actually looking forward to my second Groupon treatment which I have booked for April at which I will get the original service of mani/​pedi, etc.
The only complaint I have is that because the place was so small, it got a little loud about ½ way through my facial as right outside the spa room was a hair salon so people were talking and laughing. That won’t keep me away though!

I went to Willow and was hoping for a better experience. Sure, it has a cozy warm ambiance inside, but it was so damn COLD in there, I couldn’t wait for my service to be over quite frankly. Felt like they had no heat going at all and it was a particularly cold day outside. I told the manicurist who offered no solution. Was hoping the ambiance would match the temp inside, not quite so. I went for a spa manicure with parafin wax treatment and pedi with hot stone. I used a groupon which clearly stated the services so there was no confusion. While the technician was very nice, I wonder how much experience she has… the water for my feet was luke warm and not even in a jacuzzi bath — it was a basic bucket type thing, and could have been hotter, my feet were not scrubbed at all, my toe nails could have been trimmed more, she used a nail file, (she didn’t even ask if I wanted them cut, which she should have if she were unsure, and I know I’m going to have to cut them myself in a week b/​c she hardly filed them), the foot massage was barely that — I have had massages at salons that go just below the knee and are quite lengthy and enjoyable. And the hot stones — not sure what happened to that, but they never appeared. As for the manicure — I could have done better myself — and the hand massage was barely there. Not many polish colors to choose from. The parafin wax was nice though. I am not fond of the big poofy fabric chair layered with throws — not very sanitary. Much more enjoyable the professional massage chair that can easily be cleaned and wiped. There is only one technician, so be warned, if you go with a friend at the same time — you have to wait your turn — you don’t get your services at the same time. And what totally turned me off — was one of the hairdressers who went on and on talking to his patron about political matters in an extremely negative and inappropriate manner. It doesn’t matter which way one votes — it is very unprofessional. Leave that type of discussion out of the salon so as not to offend your other customers. Shame on them. Not sure why the other reviews were so keen on this place — perhaps the other services are better, if you don’t mind an earful of political talk. You just better vote the same as the stylist.

I have been to Willow for hair and spa services and I have loved them all. MY favorite thing about Willow is the welcoming feeling and unique ambience. Every customer feels special and loved! My haircuts have been perfect, my facials relaxing and my waxing effortless and quick. Love this salon and will continue to go as often as I can.

Michelle is the most amazing business woman! Her clients are always first and her passion and enthusiasm for her work makes the experience fun AND relaxing! She is all heart and it shows in the quality of her service!
