Since it is «home study.» the issues are different than if you are considering a bricks-​and-​mortar school. This one suits our needs best, and we have looked around Nevada County at great length. They are flexible in allowing you to take classes elsewhere. They have a good selection of books, which you go and choose off the shelf at the start of the semester. They are moving their headquarters this summer to Nevada City, which is more convenient. Some of the families are aging hippies, but if you don’t like that, so what? It comes back to how much effort you, as a parent, want to put into the task of home schooling.
