History

Established in 1989.

In response to having 3 children in 3 years I needed a way to protect them from the pool at my in-​laws home. They said that they would install whatever I wanted. In researching the options, the only thing available was (ugly) wood or metal. While speaking to a friend in Florida she mentioned transparent «Mesh Fencing». I tried to find it in this area but it was not available. I looked in the Yellow Pages at the library and check out several companies in Florida. After to talking to all the companies I determined that Protect-​A-​Child Pool Fence Company had the best product and ethics of all those I spoke to. That’s when I decided to start the Protect-​A-​Child Distributorship in this area. In the past 25 years we’ve installed over 120,000′ of fence for more than 1,000 families.

As a Mom of 3 (great!) children, I had to find a way to keep them safe from the dangers of drowning. Over 25 years ago I became the Protect-​A-​Child Distributor for this area. While i’ll never know how many children were saved from drowning because of our fences, I am thrilled to know that our efforts have saved needless drownings.
