I know that there are a ton of bad reviews, I’ve had pizza delivered from here over 50 times and the only complaint I had was, that they mix up the order. What do you expect from a super cheap pizza joint. if you want top quality go somewhere different. this is pure stoner food.

This sure isn’t like the Hungry Howies in MI. We ordered pizza, salad and boneless wings. We chose to pick it up. I went in to pick it up and had to wait approx. 10 minutes after I gave them 35 minutes before arriving. They finally brought it out, and in the five minutes it took us to get home, it was cold. The pizza did not have the flavored crust we had ordered. The boneless chicken bites were nothing but hard batter. In fact they were so hard you couldn’t cut them with a knife. The only thing that was actually good was the salad. They need a refresher course with the corporate office!!! Terribly Disappointed – Debbie

In my most haunted list because I am still haunted by the salmonella I got here! When we lived in the area every Friday nite we ordered pizza from Hungry Howie’s. Everything was pretty good until one fateful day. This time I ordered the greek salad along with pizza as I was hungrier. My friends didn’t eat any of my salad. At about midnight I woke up in severe pain which morphed into severe nausea and uncontrollable diarrhea. Both ends dehydrating me to no end. This went on for about a week until I knew something was very wrong and went for evaluation. Diagnosis — salmonella poisoning. I lost about ten pounds(that part not so bad) and developed painful arthritis which I have to this day. It took a full six months for me to get my strength back and I hate being in bed. Six months recovering in bed is a death sentence for me. I have never felt the same. I almost died. When I called the store to tell them, they didn’t seem to care one iota. BTW, I think it was the Texas tomato issue from a while back. It was coincidentally on the news about the tomatoes when I got this. And no one else got sick since they only ate pizza.

I called in my order for pick three times. First two times no one came to the counter when we came in even though I was the only customer there. I had to call out Hello and finally someone came up front, and told me my order was not ready. No one else came in and I saw a pizza on the counter. I0 min pass, went back up and asked them to look at it, it was my order. They laughed(Not Funny to me). Second order they forgot to make pizza. Sat in store(which is not all that clean) 25 min. This week was the FINALSTRAW. Only one in store again, guy comes up and tell me my pizza is not ready. I see pizza on back shelf. 10 min, I go back to counter and ask about pizza on shelf(no one else has entered store). Yes, it’s mine. But while they were fooling around it started to pour down rain! So I got to leave the store in a downpour, got soaking wet and had a cold pizza. That’s it! Never Again! If you want Hungry Howies drive down to Port Charlotte. We lived there 22 years and NEVER had a problem there. Forget the NorthPort Store!

Last night my boyfriend called and ordered two large pizzas. It was around 11 and we were all hungry. They asked for the address and in the middle of telling the guy he cuts him off and says we know where you are. I stayed up to wait for the pizza, never came. How hard is it for people to do their jobs? Will not be ordering there anymore.

We order a pizza about once every couple of weeks at Hungry Howies because it is VERYAFFORDABLE5.95 for carry out, large, 1 topping pizza. We get the butter crust, super light sauce(we don’t like sauce) and pepperoni. I usually add ½ mushrooms. For the price it is excellent. It feeds 4 of us. Can’t make it any cheaper. I recommend them if you want a quick, tasty and affordable pizza.
