This happened yesterday, January 7, 2013 shortly before noon:
I had checked the website for a Nexus7 tablet, which was supposedly in stock.
No sales person around, but 3 cashiers. After checking the shelf, no Nexus 7 anywhere. I am waiting for a sales rep., nobody around. After a while I ask one of the cashiers if there is possibly asales person available.
Answer: NO, do you need something?
Well, would I ask if I don’t? But she called someone over her walkie-​talkie, and this young lady comes and tells me, that she has only 2 returned/​defective Nexus 7, but she would show them to me.
I asked her if she knows anything about the difference between the various Android operating systems, and she says: no, that’s above my pay grade, but John should be here any minute, he knows more.
Well, John never showed up, so I left the store.
I shop at Office Max only if I need something that I can’t find in other stores or if something is on sale, but just once had I wished to find a friendly and knowledgable person in that store.
