Mardi Gras Cake & Candy Supplies

Finally found a great shop for my specialty baking needs! Great store, friendly service and good prices. FYI they have a $ 5 minimum for debit credit card purchases.

I bought my Easter chocolate there and the selection of chocolates and fillings is great! They have so many really nice candy molds too! They also have the best selections I’ve ever seen… of wedding tops ever! I told all my brides to be about them! They are very reasonably priced too! Everyone was kind and helpful. I am a very satisfied customer who will return!

The store itself is great and has everything you could ever need for baking. However, one of the employees is super nice and helpful and the other one is downright mean (she yells at you, I’m not kidding you). At first I thought she was having a bad day but I’ve been there 3 times since and she is really mean. In fact, today she was yelling at her coworker when I was shopping. When I ask for prices on items she gives major attitude. It’s really sad to say but I dread going here now.

I’ve been going to Mardi Gras since I was little. My mom was very into the crafty stuff. I come here for chocolate and molds a majority of the time. They have so many colors, flavors, and varieties of chocolate. Love this store! Lots great baking tools. Things I never knew existed. I have recommended them to co-​workers & friends. They have quality product at affordable prices.

I’ve been shopping at Mardi Gras for nearly 10 years. The ladies who own the shop know their stuff and offer everything needed to make candy, chocolate, and cakes and pastries. They offer premium chocolate which I’ve used every year to make holiday candies. When I started making «fancy» cupcakes for my daughter’s birthdays, the ladies helped me understand fondant, icing colors, decorating with icing, and cupcake display. Mardi Gras is a true gem and I enthusiastically recommend them for all of your baking and candy needs.

I found out about Mardi Gras Cake & Candy through an ex coworker. I asked her where the heck I could find a pastry cutter with a fluted wheel and a small fondant rolling pin near my house. I was working in Shaker Heights at the time and could have drove over to William Sonoma in Beechwood but really wanted another shopping option so I didn’t have to deal with being on the east side longer than I needed to be. I was not in the mood for a shopping mall, busy parking lots, overpriced rickety cheap tools, or pretty much any type of store that was going to be a waste of my time. She recommended MC&CS. I found the two items and a shopping basket full of 170 $ worth of other tools and supplies. Since then i have been coming back for all my one stop trips. Jill, the owner, has been very helpful as well as her assistant Tanya. For example, I called up the store and told Tanya I needed to package individual Valentine cookies for a project I had to get delivered ASAP. She asked what size, how many, what style of bags, and had the items ready for me at the counter with some pretty ribbon and tie suggestions. WOW, was that nice or what.
I would definitely look here for specialty hobby items like candy molds, colors, sugars, and just about anything the detailed decorator needs. The prices are fair and sometimes a steal.
