Absolutely worst experience ever. Myself and girlfriend looked at cars about a month prior to buying our 3 year old Jetta. Heather helped us, was very nice and not pushy. Because of this, when we came back to buy, we went directly to her. We even waited extra long (3+ hours) because she was finishing up with someone else.
That’s when the good service ended. We immediately noticed a odd noise problem while driving home that night. I left a VM for heather on the way from the dealer telling her about the odd noise we heard. She never returned my call. When I called the next day, she just told me to call the service department… made no apology or effort to help. The first appointment was 4 days later. So up until this point, we bought a new car, traded in our old one and now had to share my car because her new car was making an odd noise.
This noise turned out to be nothing, but the lack of customer service blew me away. After this, I started to receive several credit denial letters in the mail (we are first time buyers with little credit history). The dealer made no mention that they ran my credit info through several lenders until one hit, which of course damages my credit score. Again I called and left messages to heather and the head finance manager with no return call.
On top of this, Heather calls us out of the blue 3 weeks later saying we need a new proof of residency for the loan (apparently a medical bill is not appropriate). She demanded my gf get a new license and send a copy to her by Monday (it was Saturday afternoon). I had to tell her that was not happening as we had weekend plans. She then texted and called us daily until it was done… oddly she had time to return our calls for this but not our various issues.
Never again ganley…

My car was towed here when it broke down (I am from out of state). Matt in service was incredibly helpful. He kept me up to date with just about every aspect of my repair.
Chris in sales was also a great help. He really took some time to offer the best option possible.

I bought a new Volkswagen Routan two years ago and I have had the car in for service five times since then. The service team has been courteous and professional and we have had no issues. We have had oil changes, air filters replaced, tires balanced and rotated, and a rear wiper repair. They include a free car wash each time I bring the van in for service, which is an added bonus.
The first three years of oil changes and tire rotations are free! Plus, when I bought the Routan, Volkswagen and Dodge had quit building them so they were selling them for $ 10,000 below the sticker price! No lie! I couldn’t pass up that great deal.
We have an issue with one of the tire pressure sensors in the van so the service team ordered the new part and asked if we could bring the van back next week to install it. I’m happy because the part and service are covered under the factory warranty.
Looking forward to several more years of good service from Ganley.

Chris Shchigelski at Volkswagen is the best. Even though he tried to get me to lease a car.
If you want a car please go to him. He went above and beyond the call of duty and beat out the VP for a car sale. ;-)
I literally walked in and asked who wanted to make a sale today and he laughed and said, «I will do it.»
Previously in the week I went to Hyundai preowned and they were so tacky and really lacked the important customer service skills that they need to have. One sales associate was applying mascara instead of watching for potential money walking in the door. The dark haired business manager was arrogant and rude.
Although Billy L. at Hyundai would probably get a ok review he was no chris.
Chris S. gets straight tens and a good Unilocal review because he was so sweet, helpful and persistent on making sure I knew what I was getting. (Which I already came by to see the car earlier in the week and Hyundai really made me mad so I left.) VW let me handle my purchase at their lot to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t have to deal with anyone at Hyundai. THANK YOU.
Also, let’s not forget the business department, Trey Keys, sorry I took so much of your time. Thank you for soothing my sore throat with those tasty Halls. And I can’t believe I let you sucker me into buying an additional package. Cleveland roads better make it worth it this winter. ;-)
You guys really treat me right every time I come there. Even the service department was kind enough to come check on me during the purchase. (More to that story, but unrelated.)

Ganley Westside Volkswagen wasted my time today on service and decided that asking for $ 1200 to fix their mistake was the appropriate thing to do.
We have, in writing, that the car pulled to the left. Technician reports that «there is no pull to the left.» Four months later, the front left of the driver’s side tire is worn in a way that indicates the original claim, a pull to the left due to alignment issues.
The uneven wear trashes the tires because the alignment did not occur. Then they have the audacity to ask me to pay $ 135/​tire for the terrible continentals which cost $ 93 from tire rack and $ 300 for rear brake pads which is, at most, a $ 200 job and $ 100 for the alignment.
I just spent half of my day on car maintenance. When I pay $ 120 for an oil change and $ 300 for a pair of brake pads, I expect to not have to pay for a trainee’s mistakes when it happens. That someone argued about the wording of our initial claims, as if we needed to have diagnosed it ourselves (which we actually did), is disingenuous and dishonest. There are other details, but they are nothing more than a red herring. The facts above remain the same and technical service system used above failed.
I hate to say it but they botched it. Because they were dishonest, they lost this customer and earned this review.
I hope that GWV some day fixes their system. My late father respected them and so I hope they can once again get to a point where they might meet his expectations.
