We wanted to go get ice cream from a local shop from which we had last year. When we arrived we found it to be closed! Such a bummer! They had awesome ice cream!

Friendly staff, neighborly atmosphere, good variety of hard-packed ice cream, and some fun«old-fashioned» candy… what’s not to like?

Good variety but very pricy. I had a malt at this place and it was over $ 6. Their lg cups are actually medium if you compare to culvers cups. The malts must be a rear request since it took over 5 mins to make and the dude kept checking the consistency prior to handing it over…

Local scoop rules! On top if your ice cream they give you small scoop sample of ANOTHER flavor ice cream! Village Scoop is 1 of 3 outstanding unique north metro ice cream options. Village Scoop is my second favorite because they have fantastic flavors like Mackinac Island Fudge, but all three are worth a visit. In fact, on a fine day one could bike to all three(13 miles total from Grandpa’s in Fridley to Village Scoop in North Oaks to Cup and Cone in White Bear Lake). Village Scoop is in a strip mall near Taste Of Scandinavia and a Brugger’s. It’s not cheap, if you want cheap ice cream drive thru DQ. I was told their ice cream is made in Wisconsin and we all know Wisconsin is the dairy state. Where ever they get this, it is the real deal delicious ice cream.

Odd hours but greeeeaaaaatttt ice cream. Always take the kids here in the summer. If you want a break from Dairy Queen and want some real unique flavors, this is the ice cream shop for you. I found this place on Orgadeal after searching for discounts to local businesses. Was hoping for more discounts for future visits with the fam.
