Wyndham Ocean Boulevard

First, I am a Wyndham owner. Second, I found this resort to be at the top of my Wyndham list. The front desk staff, Jasmine, Amy, and the rest of the crew, were fabulous! I checked in late at night and Jasmine was so kind and helpful after seeing my exhaustion. She checked in with me again the next day to make sure I was comfortable. The unit was clean and spacious and filled more then my needs. The rest of the staff was super. Nice to have a café and bar on property. Beautiful heated pools. Highly recommend this place for a stay.

I am actually a Wyndham timeshare owner. I have property in Florida at Bonnet Creek. My parents have been owners for at least 25 years (when it was Fairfield). We’ve been able to travel quite a bit using the timeshare. We’ve been to Vegas, different locations in Florida, and Hawaii to name a few. Myrtle Beach Ocean Blvd is by far THE WORST property we’ve stayed at.
Last year we stayed at this same property but in tower 4 across the street. Encountered the same problem with the filthy carpet and when we complained we were told that they would be beginning construction to pull up all the existing carpet in Oct 2014 replacing it with tile. Well a year later… same unbelievably disgusting carpet. We had little ones and it was a challenge keeping them off these nasty floors!
The amenities are decent but I can’t get past how unkept the property is. Parking is terrible. Be prepared to truck it across the street in the overflow area. Myrtle beach is popular so the lack of parking is to be expected I guess. Beds are not hotel quality… on the hard side. Don’t expect plush or down. I couldn’t imagine actually owning here and seeing my investment not being cared for. Let me add my family vacationed here in 2009 the property was literally brand new and it was amazing. We’ve been back twice since and to see it continue to go down is unsettling.
It cost a pretty penny to become time share owner. In addition to what you pay to become an owner and you pay a yearly maintenance fee. Not sure what this property is doing with the money being made. They certainly are not doing a good job keeping the place clean. Just a heads up what to expect. I seriously cannot recommend the property.

My husband and I just checked out some of the activities in the towers and the sea breeze café was a bust. The fries are okay but the chicken tenders were rubbery like they were in the freezer for ten years. Also overpriced for quality.

First the bad: Parking was scarce on Friday and Saturday nights, the beds were a bit on the firm side for our taste, and you had to run the hot water for several minutes before it got hot.
Everything else was good…
Service was awesome. We arrived several hours early but we thought we’d try to check in anyway in case our condo was already available. No such luck, however the took our number and called us an hour later to let us know the room had been cleaned and was ready for us. Every interaction we had with the staff met or exceeded our high expectations.
The 3 bedroom suite was awesome (which is what we expected from Wyndham). The suite was spotless, the rooms were spacious, there were plenty of towels. If the beds were a bit softer the room would have been perfect for us.
The facilities are spread out along 4 towers. All four have their own pools. One tower has the concierge, and another has the computer room and a game room.
Access to the beach was convenient for towers 1 – 3 although you do have to cross the street if you’re in tower 4.
We will happily stay here again.

Stayed here for 4^th of July weekend with a group of guys for a bachelor weekend getaway. We had a 2 bdrm suite in tower 4 with 8 guys total. The Master had a king and the second bdrm has two double. The other two stayed on the pull out couch which was surprisingly comfortable. I’ve stayed in a handful of similar suites for a weekend away on the Grand Strand and this one was by far the nicest. Everything we needed was in the room including a full kitchen with cooking supplies, plates cups, blender, toaster, and utensils. There was even a washer and dryer in unit too!
We only spent two nights here and we couldn’t even begin to take advantage of all the amenities. I think there were 5 pools plus a lazy river and a beautiful beach just steps away. Fourth weekend was a super busy time and we must have lucked out at check in because we pulled in and found a spot right in front of the front desk. I went in and was finished with the check in process for 8 people in no time at all. We did set up the private WiFi network for our condo unit and never seemed to get it to work but we weren’t all that concerned with it anyway. Everyone in our party enjoyed the space and all the amenities, we’d definitely be back!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this resort and we loved it. It was a fantastic place to keep our stuff.
The staff was very friendly and polite. They went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. They were also very helpful, providing suggestions on what to do and where to visit.
The unit was a good size, and was properly maintained. We also had an amazing view.
We went during the winter, so I can’t speak much about the pools, but they all looked excellent. However other amenities were fantastic. They had a free movie rental service (like a Redbox kiosk, but no charge), which was awesome. They offered free wifi as well, which was great. There were also various events planned through out the day for guests which helped fill down time with cool things to do.
The parking was the only downside. If you’re not back early enough, you may not be able to park near your unit. However, the overflow parking is just across the street (small street, 2 lanes) and they offer a cart service to bring you back to your car and or building.
Overall a fantastic experience, and I would really enjoy going again.

My husband spent our first wedding anniversary here and we had a really good time. The resort was really clean and nice. The staff was very welcoming. I just wish that there was a maid service… I had having to clean when I am on vacation. I understand that it is a time share set up so I guess that will not be changing. Overall we had a great time. There needs to be more activities on the weekends for adults though!

I am an owner at this resort and to have to pay per device per day for wifi is ridiculous. Very disappointed with this change. This should be stated on the website so guests are not blind sided when checking in for vacation.

This Wyndham is very nice! My family had two units one in Tower 2 which had a lovely ocean view and tower 4 which was across the street. The parking situation isn’t the greatest (Especially if you’re in Towers 1 – 3) but with them having a shuttle service throughout the day it was very helpful in getting around from tower to tower or to the overflow parking lot. Yes, they only give you 2 devices per day for Wi-​fi or its a $ 3 charge a day per device. Which isn’t great for families with parents that have smartphones and kids that have phones/​tablets but we came here for vacation not to be on handheld devices! So outside we went and the amenities they had were great and family friendly. The lazy river and pools (indoor and outdoor) were relaxing! The exercise room was great as well (I really liked the one in tower 4). With all of the activities the Wyndham had going on throughout the day it kept all of us very busy. The location is also good because it is minutes away from Barefoot Landing, Shopping Outlets and Food Restaurants. We Definitely will be staying here again when we come back to Myrtle Beach!

Guest services is terrible. Staff are rude. Carpets are disgusting and dirty. Pipes leaking. Wireless Internet limited to 2 devices per room. Not quite free wifi. $ 3 per device per day over the limit of two. For a family with more than one kid, this is annoying and can be costly very fast.
Parking situation is horrible. Not nearly enough parking for towers 1,2, & 3. There’s more parking under tower 4, but still not enough and thus most people end up parking in a third parking area even further away.
If any one of these things happened, it wouldn’t be a big deal. All of these things happening at one place just lead to a very unpleasant situation though and a really unpleasant stay.
Stay away. Stay far, far away.

My whole family loved staying at the Wyndham. We won it at a charity auction and were honestly not sure what to expect. When we got to our room, we were really impressed. The rest of the week did not disappoint. We asked for more laundry detergent, dish soap, and a mixer. They were brought right up in a timely manner and the staff was very courteous about it. They tried to get me to attend the timeshare presentation but I somehow avoided it. The pools were awesome and the access to the beach was really great. We stayed in Tower 4 which is across the street.
The 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment we stayed in had everything we needed, from towels to dishes. Things I was not expecting included the 15 wine glasses, the cutting board and the extra towels. It was my family’s first time staying at a place like this and I was very impressed. I hope it goes up for auction again this year… we’ll bid again to win it if it does!

I loved staying here! I came here with eight friends (we had two condos) for Senior Week, and the experience was great.
I only have a few complaints, which aren’t too big. One thing is that it would’ve been AWESOME if they had printed schedules to see what was going on in the day, but they did show them on the TVs in the elevators (and it saves paper too, so it’s not all that bad).
The other thing was the lack of close parking. The tower we stayed in (3) had two levels of parking, and it was a rarity to park there the week that we were there. Parking in the second garage (four levels) was difficult too, but they had overfill parking and they ALWAYS have space there. Good thing about that is you get a little workout! You could also call to have a golf cart pick you up which is nice. Because of that, it isn’t worth taking away a star. The good of this place outweighs the very few bad things.
Let’s get to the good stuff!
Check-​in was quick and super easy; the staff told you everything you need to know right then and there.
The rooms are quite roomy! Our condo had two bedrooms — one master, one with two queen beds — a kitchen, living room (the couch doubles as a pull-​out bed for even more people), and two bathrooms. Everything was clean when we got there. Plenty of place settings and pots and pans in the kitchen. The bathroom had an awesome jacuzzi. There was plenty of space for five people, and easily 2 – 3 more, to stay in one condo.
The staff: oh, the staff was great! They’re quick to help you in any situation. They greet their guests every time they see them, and conversate with them. It’s awesome. GREAT hospitality.
Even the people staying at the hotel were nice! I can’t count how many nice interactions I had in the elevator. It’s just the little things.
There are three pool areas. One between tower 2 and 3, which I frequented a lot. It has two lazy rivers, a regular pool, and two hot tubs. All clean! Shower areas everywhere, too. The other pool areas were about the same. One had an infinity pool. All of the pools, lazy rivers, and hot tubs include a disability chair lift.
There’s also a rec room (pool tables, ping pong, foosball, etc.), an arcade, a great fitness room with a sauna, and a café in tower 2 which hosts karaōke every now and then with a wide variety of songs to belt out.
It’s super easy to get to the beach. Just look out your balcony and you’ll see the great view of the ocean. Ride the elevator on down to floor one, walk through the pool area, and there’s the beach! Not hard at all to get there. You can rent chairs and umbrellas straight from Wyndham. After you’re done with the beach, you can wash your feet off with these really cool weighted feet washing stations. First time I’ve ever seen those! Came in really handy, especially when carrying tons of stuff in your arms.
I would highly recommend the Wyndham at Ocean Blvd. if you ever find yourself in North Myrtle Beach! Next time I come here, I’m going straight to the Wyndham!

Very small parking spaces in the deck but the amenities are amazing and the infinity pool is a must-​see.
We have a time-​share with Wyndham and this is the first time that we’ve checked out Wyndham Ocean Blvd. So far, our experience has been superb. The check-​in was painless and everyone was extremely helpful. As a family of 6, we came in a van with a camper-​top attached and the parking lot attendant was very courteous to tell us that it wouldn’t fit further than deck 2 of the parking deck. The check in staff were very kind and answered all of my questions before I had a chance to ask. They were not pushy or rude.
Our room was immaculate with the exception of a couple scuff marks on the carpet. The small kitchen was fully stocked with service for 8 or more and they even have a drink pitcher and a colander as well as pots, pans and servewear.
The pools are fantastic. Every room has an ocean view and every room also looks down on an amazing pool area complete with hot tubs. Every pool has a disability arm (very cool since my wife and I work with the disabled). There is easy beach access as well and even though we stayed at the tower across the street, it was easy to get to the beach. We found a really cool foot wash utility where you stand on this platform and it sprays water from your knees down… really good for washing kids off!
This was just the vacation we needed and the room easily accommodated my wife and I, our four kids and my in-​laws. Thumbs up Wyndham Ocean Blvd!

We loved our time here! We stayed 5 nights for fathers day in an ocean view one bedroom in tower 2 (main tower with lobby). I was worried becuase not oceanfront… but LOVED the view. All the views from tower 1, 2 and 3 are great. We spent a ton of time on our balcony. We had our boys with us (1 and 5). They brought up a pack and play for us to use, it was clean and in great shape. Clean room and nice décor. The pull out couch was again very clean and seemed new.
Kitchen and supplies were great… even had salt and pepper for us. New sponge, dish soap and dishwasher tablets. Beach towels were provided and i fluffed them everyday in the dryer.
The carpet was a bit dingy… but not enough to bother me. There was a stinky smell in the common hall outside the room doors, it was a spill in the trash and was cleanup up quickly. We just put our trash outside door every night and it was picked up… wish people were a bit more responsible to not dump there trash.
OCEAN ACCESS was amazing. Lazy river was fun, pools were nice.
Staff was great. We sat through timeshare presentation just to get the amex gift card, but no pressure. I think we will buy a timeshare but not from developer…
We will be back every year… I have no need to check out other places… this one has everything I need and more :)

Very nice except for the parking. It is probably great for drivers of a Mini.

Great place to vacation. This is our fourth time here. Every Wyndham resort we have stayed in is like a 5 star hotel. They are clean, decorated very current and the staff is friendly. Lots of activities if you want to take part or do your own thing. Full kitchen so you can save money by eating some meals in. Location could not be better, easy to get to, great area of beach. Ocean view rooms are awesome, open your patio door and listen to the ocean. Lots of pools, jacuzzis and 2 lazy rivers. We love this place and will be back again and again.

We went for 4^th of July week. It was super busy at the beach that week, but the hotel didn’t feel over crowded. The pools were really nice and we had a good time. The children’s actiovities were well planned. My only complaint is they don’t give you a schedule at check-​in, you are supposed to view on TV which was really a pain.
The check-​in process was easy. Our room was really nice and the balcony had a great view. We had an angle ocean view 2 bedroom. The room was modern looking and clean, the kitchen was well stocked.
Parking was a pain, but it is with most of the resorts in Myrtle Beach.
There were tons of pools to choose from and a nice oceanfront lazy river. My kids loved the infinity pool ocean front, really felt like you were right on edge of ocean.
We will definitely return again to the resort.

It’s been a great week. Stayed in a 2 bedroom Presidential suite in tower 2.
Love the location and amenities like the good food at the pool side bar and the larger of the 2 lazy rivers. I may try the sauna in the morning.
Slight negatives; The ocean was warmer than the pools. There is no sun on the decks in the afternoon and the buildings create it’s own constant breeze if not wind.
Great for families and family reunions.

Our first impression was NOT GOOD! The front desk area was incredibly crowded and seemed very disorganized…“Who is going where, what are we doing, am I supposed to stand here, why are you over there…” – and that was the staff! Once we first checked in, we were told that our official check in was 4 pm (in 45 minutes) and we had to wait until then to officially check in. But we had to get our parking pass across the room. So we go across the room, and there is no line, no logic and order, no sanity. The staff had cakes and McDonald’s bags everywhere on the counter (the food reeked of McDonald’s!!) and we were shuffled to the side of a desk where a spry young thing starts telling us about the session we’ll be attending, and how much we’ll enjoy it because there’s free breakfast and how they appreciate our attending. Off in my head, I hear warning sirens, then I start to wonder if my normally sane, «I hate sales pitches» bf signed us up for one?! Then the spry young thing says, «since you didn’t offer to do this and you’re taking some of your vacation time away to do this, we are going to offer you not $ 25 credit but $ 75 to one of these restaurants…» and I’m like WHAT? They were CORRALLING us into a sales session, without even asking us! Where did my vacation go?! My bf stepped in and had to say THREE (3) times that we did not want to do this, we weren’t interested, we just wanted and needed a vacation. She sure was hard to stop! I hate the sly way they tried to get us to do that (by the way, don’t fall for it, the restaurants you get a credit to are CRAP)!
We waited and waited until 4 then we checked in. Justin, our check in guy, told us he had called us to let us know the room was ready earlier (but of course there’s no signal in the place). Instead of coming to get us (we were only 5 feet away for goodness sake!), he made us wait.
I’m giving this place 3 stars because even though we were staying across the street from the beach, our room was fantastic with fantastic views. We were on the top floor (Floor 14 which really is 18 floors up) of Tower 4. Superb views of the beach, the strip and the low country. Room was gorgeous, clean. I would give the room 5 stars and the service 1 (for the sales pitch), which rounds it out to 3.
Fitness room was decent although the treadmill kind of sucked as it was ANCIENT. Pool was nice but too much country music. How about no music?

Our family stayed at this Wyndham Resort for Spring Break week this year. This was our first time visiting the Myrtle Beach area and we picked this resort because it looked great on their website.
We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the place is.
The Tower 4 unit we got was a two-​bedroom deluxe suite and faced the Boulevard with clear view of the beach. This was very nice bonus especially during sunrise and sunset time.
Our unit had a fully-​equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, dining area which we used extensively since we had three teenagers.
There are numerous outdoor and indoor pools and activity rooms through out the four towers.
In the morning I enjoyed the free Starbuck coffee served in the lobby and the beach was just a short walk from the lobby.
This was a big deal, because waking up at 6am in the morning required strong coffee to accompany the walk on the beach and waiting for the sunrise.
The resort staffs were very friendly.
The place is very roomy and I did not feel crowded in. The workout/​exercise room was very roomy and the kids loved the ping-​pong, computers and pool table area. They especially enjoyed having free internet throughout the place (but very slow).
My only complaint is the parking; the parking spaces are very tight and most of us have mini-​vans so it can be a problem. Fortunately they have additional parking behind Tower 4.
Some people complaint that there was a lack of hot water in their units; especially during the late evenings when everyone is in the bathrooms.
I would definitely return to this resort.
