I travel all of the US, and eat out often. This is one of the best Italian places I frequent. Have them make a special spicy red sauce with seafood and vegetables(chalkboard menu but will make anything. If they have the ingredients). And the garlic bread can’t be missed. Ben is good company as well. Not to be missed local’s place.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years. I used to live in North Myrtle Beach and worked across the street from Benny’s. I enjoyed many a lunch there. Their lunches were always perfectly portioned and reasonably priced. Their Lasagna is the best. The Pasta e Fagioli is absolutely RI-DIC-U-LOUS. I’m literally obsessed with it. I’ve tried so hard for years to duplicate it since I now live 3 hours away. The service there is always good as well. As for value, as with most things, you get what you pay for. The prices are up there, but I never leave feeling I’ve been robbed or overpaid, as we do sometimes with other restaurants. The atmosphere, wine selection, food and service, stand up to their price point. In the 20 years since I first experienced Benny’s Italian food, I’ve dined at many, many very good Italian restaurants. I haven’t been to Italy yet, but I can’t imagine I’d find the food there to be any better than at Benny’s.

I grew up in Italian neighborhoods. Married an Italian girl. I love Italian food. I feel as if my pockets were picked at Benny Rappa’s. I had the lasagna. It was certainly better than Stoffer’s, but not by much. My date had Veal Piccata this was the real disappointment. Veal was tough, paper thin and nearly tastless. The dessert was another let down. Pudding with whipped cream, they called it Tiramisu. The wine selection was good. We had a Chianti Classico that was very good. Even with good service the meal wasn’t worth $ 78.00

Unfortunately, NOTWHATITUSEDTOBE! :(This restaurant used to be our favorite restaurant for Italian in the greater Myrtle region. Not sure where Benny has his focus lately but past year or so, just not authentic, homemade italian! Marinara is NOT homemade anymore. Gnocchi, which use to be phenomenal, isn’t either. Food tastes unauthentic and very bland for the high price. This place used to be a great buy with the quality of food for the price, but NOT any longer. Shame on you Benny! You are a good guy, with many late nights we have spent there of sharing limoncello shots with you, but you have just dropped off with your food quality. If you bring back your old ways, we would love to be loyal customers again… but til then, it’s Chianti South in Little River for us!

I have been here several times over the years and look forward to dining here. I was not as enthused this time around. My salad seemed wilted as though it was in the refrigerator all day. I got the eggplant which overall was good, but the sauce just didn’t seem savory or refined enough. Service seemed a bit rushed. Then got the Lemoncello Mascarpone mousse cake. It had good flavor. However, it came out within a couple minutes of ordering. I wish there could have been a little more time in between courses. In and out within an hour. I would like to think this was an an anomaly.

Very good food and wonderful service! Loved the garlic bread. Were accommodating to us even though we did not have a reservation on a busy evening!

The restaurant was recommended by a couple of our friends, and to be honest, it was beyond what we expected. From the homemade calamari and bread, to the fresh seafood and lemon mousse cake everything was delicious. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive but was not overbearing. She was fantastic with our four year old daughter and knew the menu by heart! I would absolutely go here again before we leave. This is a must have restaurant next year on vacation!

Dimly lit overpriced tasteless seafood. Don’t bother. The she crab soup was riddled with shells. The dried seafood platter was tasteless but fresh at least. Fries are gross. complimentary bread is bland and stale tasting. Yuck. Friend had the jambalaya and hated it! Don’t go! Other friend had ribeye and it needed salt and sauce to be passable. key lime pie was weird.

Found the restaurant using Unilocal, glad we decided to go for dinner while on vacation. I had the eggplant Parmesan, some of the best, you can tell the marinara is homemade. My kids love gnocchi, it was not on the menu, but they made it for them anyway. If you like garlic bread, pay the extra $ 2 and try the garlic loaf– we ordered two! The place is very small, we were able to sit down right away, would suggest reservations. Overall, the service was great, staff was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was excellent!

This is a very good Italian resturaunt! The place is a little noisy and high priced, but the food is well worth it! Also, their menu changes daily. Their veil parmigiana is out of this world delicious! It is the best veil parmigiana I have ever had! They also have the best desserts ever! They have tartufo and gelato! I recommend the almond gelato! It is delicious. And tartufo is always a personal favorite! I highly recommend coming here!

This was recommended to us by a «local» so we thought why not? After being seated watching the crowd build up we were certain we had made the right choice. The service was excellent but the food disappointing. For a place that prides itself on a daily changing menu and dishes supposedly made from scratch, the food was bland and uninteresting. The pasta tasted like it came from a packet and was swimming in butter. The seafood dishes had no flavor generally were a major let down. Maybe it was an off night but not a place I will be revisiting when back in town. If this is authentic Italian(and we have eaten in Italy) then something was lost in translation.

What a delicious restaurant! My mom and dad have been raving about this place for YEARS and we finally went tonight. The garlic bread was delicious. The calamari was great and the mussels appetizer was AMAZING(also the sauce made a great dip for the bread). My basil mojito was fresh and great tasting. I ordered the eggplant parm and LOVED it! Such a generous portion size that I have leftovers for later tonight or lunchtime tomorrow. Everyone in the family was pleased and stuffed to the core. I tried my husbands lasagna and my brothers veal and both were out of this world tasty and authentic. After dinner we sat for a while and enjoyed some red wine until we were ready for some dessert. My husband and I shared the tiramisu and some black coffee — such a perfect ending to an extraordinary meal. I am so pleased that this place lived up to all of its expectations! We will definitely be back in the not so far off future :)

We were in the area looking for dinner spots, and our youngest daughter was in the mood for Italian. A quick search brought up Benny Rappa’s, so we made the reservation and off we went. We are so glad we did. First of all, the waitress was extremely polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. The garlic bread was wonderful, nice and soft on the inside with a crunchy, garlic — crusted outside. The opening salads were good, as well, with an invigorating Italian dressing. The main event, of course, was the dinner itself. My wife and daughters all went fairly conservative, getting things like fettuccine alfredo and chicken parm. The pasta was a perfect al dente, and the sauces were great. I had the ribeye, cooked to a perfect medium rare, over roasted potatoes with a warm spinach salad, with a balsamic reduction. It was mouth-watering. We ended the night with dessert. I had the tiramisu, which was wonderfully light with clear coffee notes. My eldest daughter had an ice cream dish featuring a hard chocolate exterior and a cherry on the inside, which she said was fantastic. My wife had a chocolate mousse cake, which was also excellent. Finally, my youngest daughter had the cannoli(see picture), which was very rich and delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We will certainly return on our next trip to North Myrtle Beach.

Absolutely the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Myrtle Beach. It could easily be located in Boston’s Northend. Service by Courtney was excellent and the food and atmosphere were perfect. Be sure to try the garlic loaf… delicious! We arrived right at dinner time with out a reservation and they graciously squeezed us in. It’s not a big place so next time I’m making a reservation to be sure to get a table. Courtney came right over with water and menus… plus a pleasant attitude. She explained the menu which is always changing but they are willing to make anything if they have the ingredients. All 3 of us ordered something not on the menu. My son ordered Veal Parm, I had Chicken Parm and my wife ordered a chicken in vodka sauce. All 3 were delicious. The only issue was the price for the Veal Parm; $ 28 but in fairness I never asked what the prices were. The 2 chicken dinners were $ 43 total. With the meal you get a nice side Italian salad. Total price for 3 of us with two beers was $ 92… Plus tip. Like I said my favorite in the MB area. I’ll be back.

The food was so good. The waitress very professional. The Inside of the restaurant very comforting. My nephew had the chicken cutlet parmigian and I had the house salad with grilled salmon. Don’t forget the garlic bread, so good.
