Jade J Nails & Spa

Everytime I go to Jade, they do their best to do my hands and feet at the same time, which is important. I don’t get anything more then a mani/​pedi. I have been in and out of there in 45 minutes!
I do know they are very very busy and Jade Nails is a get down to business place. The people are very nice, but this is not the place to sit there and have small talk with your tech, which I love.

Tina and her husband are great! Since Jade sold the business, I have never had a bad experience here under the new ownership !

Because my usual nail girl wasn’t available over the weekend, I needed an «emergency» fill for my acrylics during the week. This salon was down the street from my office, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Worst idea ever. Even though I made the appointment a day earlier, they didn’t have it in the book. I have no idea the name of my tech; he never introduced himself. He couldn’t care less about avoiding my cuticles with the «sander» — so they were raw and even had a few abrasions on them. When he painted the acrylic solution over my nails, the raw cuticles even started to sting. The polish I chose was clearly old and the brush split, but he used it … and it never really dried. Despite about 7 minutes under the dryer, half my nails were ruined before I even left the shop. They offered to fix them, but I had to get back to work.
Horrible. I’m going back to my usual gal to have her fix the crap job he did.

I go out of my way to come here because the nail techs are courteous and they work fairly fast but also seem as though they care about the quality of their work. They seem to have trouble when doing French manicure but after a few attempts someone usually nails it (no pun intended). That’s why not 5 stars.

NOT ONLY DO THE STAFF LACK SPEAKING ENGLISH BUT THEY LACK BASIC NAIL ETIQUETTE.
First of all I walk in and it’s totally rude to yell from across the room as to what service would I be needing!
Second of all after choosing the color I didn’t really like but settled with I had to wait 5 mins after already being told I had to wait a minute.
When I sat with table 7 (an Asian man, and I am already very anti-​man doing my nails) he couldn’t even understand most of the things I was saying to him. From not too short in cutting my nail extensions to not knowing the size to match my nail bed. He lacked basic nail etiquette. Maybe he was nervous.
After cutting my nails crooked and all different lengths he insisted on filing them even shorter and way out of my liking! Again he couldn’t understand a bit of English! He proceeded to buff my nails after filing my skin off! Having screamed OUCH! several times he oiled my nail cuticles and told me to wash.
Annoyed and flustered with the job I washed my hands anyway. Come to polish my nails the polish job was HORRID! The drilling job he did was out of this world! He either was too blind to even see that my nails were crooked and not leveled from one end to the next which made the polish job look ugly and nasty!
I told him I hated the polish job and to take it off and to just STOP!
I got up from the table to pay and leave the shop.
Then this small lady came to the front of the shop to ask me what was wrong and either she too was too blind to see my full set was messed up from start to finish. She insisted that I have another woman do the job. Angry and frustrated I stayed and waited another 10 minutes.
I was pleased that this woman was American and that she would be able to help me with my troubles and not charge me extra. So I sat patiently. After all the drama still I was displeased at the fact that this woman was eating her lunch while doing my nails.
I’m just so disgusted at this salon and the behavior of the employees. I’ve been coming to this salon since it opened with the original owner Jade and had really good memories of this place. I even referred an ample amount of women and one of my best guy friends from New York here.
When it was time for me to pay there were 5 people at the register all speaking to me at once about how my nails were only $ 25 and another woman in the back of the shop was screaming that it was $ 30 and then finally came to an «agreement» that it was only $ 25. Of course it’s $ 25. With all that I had gone thru for an hour and a half I shouldn’t even be tipping anyone!
I’m not one to complain or write reviews but I feel that this was important to share. I hope this helps.

Amazing attentive service. Friendly environment and atmosphere. Definitely somewhere I would go again. My nails have never looked this good after walking out of a salon. If you’re in the area and you’re looking for somewhere quality to go, this is the place. I went with my two sisters for a nice night out on Friday, and we’re definitely coming back.

So I walked across the street to find this beautiful little hidden treasure. I walked in with my two sisters and they were able to take care of the three of us quickly. Fast forward to three hours later and we became friends with the family. Lovely owners, great manicures and pedicures for the three of us. We will most definitely come back again!

Many reasons why this place is amazing! I had to get my gel mani done today! It’s the only day that I’m able to get it this week. I called this afternoon around 1 and was hoping to get a late appt and they had it! Probably the only nail salon I know that opens till late and works around my schedule. They are open till 8pm and I got an apt for 7:30pm. Staff is very very friendly! My gel mani was $ 30. Everywhere else I’ve gone has been $ 32. They have a great selection of colors. My nails came out amazing and the place is very clean! Amazing! And my gym is just right up stairs. Fabulous! I am amazed and I Totally recommend this place for all needs. The lady that did my nails, her name is Tina. She was GREAT!

Great staff, friendly! Knowledgeable, and kind. Family friendly and spacious atmosphere… and the music is always on spot! This is my first review however I’ve been here more then a few times!

nice salon i wondered in here as it is very convenient right in the same plaza as my gym. I was immediately greeted and got a very nice gel manicure by Dan. He was very friendly and recommended a nice color for me. The place is very clean and comfortable, I will definitely go back

Okay, I am pleasantly shocked! In a pinch, I stopped at this nail salon because my feet were starting to look like Fred Flinstone’s. Not my normal place, but figured if I walked in and it wasn’t clean or I felt uncomfortable, I could just leave, no harm, no foul.
I was immeditately welcomed. I glanced at the menu ($ 30 for a mani/​pedi — yes please! And sure, let’s throw on an extra callous removal for $ 3, I’m a high roller). I was escorted to a chair and offered a bottle of water — what did you say? Oh yes, you heard me, a nice, beautiful bottle of cold water on this 105 degree August day. I think I’m in love. (Such a great gesture — totally unexpected!)
All tools came out of an autoclaved bag, nail Polish was Essie and Opi. Girl was sweet, manicure was very nice. Took her time, but not too long, which is perfect. Pedicure was great, massage was longer than expected and much appreciated. Callous removal was a great upgrade, and I continue to add it on.
Place is super clean, staff is very nice. These are new owners. Apparently, from the stories of other customers and reviews on Unilocal,the previous owners were absolutely awful (along the lines of the former owner didn’t want customers charging their phones while they were getting their nails done — cray-​zee!)
Definitely a place to go to — I’m so happy I found them!

I’ve been to this location twice. I love that they have a huge selection of polishes both OPI and Essie. The staff is friendly and the shop itself is clean and they have great hours and pricing. I’ll definitely continue to frequent this shop.

I was really hoping to like this place. Number one, it’s right next to my gym giving me the flexibility to do more things in one place. Secondly, it’s one of the only spots actually open on Monday which us also a plus. I came last week for a refill which usually lasts 14 days. The very next morning, my middle nail broke. I kept meaning to go get it fixed but my schedule is very difficult. I came back today with intentions of either a) fixing my nail & getting another refill OR b) going against everything I am and ripping off my acrylic nails in protest and resorting to gel polish.
After deciding today would be the day for shellac, I finally went through the process of removing the acrylic. I then realized 4 of my fingernails were too short for shellac so I needed 4 acrylic nails and 6 shellac polished nails. The outcome was actually nice. My hands looked decent and I was willing (almost) to forget the $ 62.00 I had spent 7 days prior.
I was happy until he told me my bill was $ 45.00. Okay, for that I would’ve gone to Bal Harbour!?! All they did was remove my nails ($ 5 – 10) give me a 60% manicure (should’ve costed $ 12) and place 4 nails on the remaining fingers to resemble my shellac (should’ve costed $ 8). I didn’t see any lotion or intense manicuring rituals like I’ve observed on others before.
I was completely rubbed. After trying to explain myself, I realized I wasn’t getting any progress and didn’t wanna cause a scene.
I paid my fare & tipped as usual. Those extra $ 20 they charged me is the reason I will never come back here.
I was rooting for you guys. The only reason they get an extra star is because the two people who attended me where nice and tried helping me. I know the price isn’t up to them. Had they charged me fairly I would’ve made this my new nail salon.

Very friendly people. They let me bring my dog and he was treated like a king.
I will definitely go back there again :)

I don’t understand why some people are so hard with Jade nail.
of course it is not «THE «best place for nail but sincerely for the price you pay i am very pleased!
I went many time with my daughter, they are very nice and doing a good job for me.
Girls doesn’t have the better fashion look but i was never unhappy about their job.
There is massage chair, wich i love, i relax myself while they doing my nails, what else?

Last minute need of a mani/​pedi today and Jade J’s came in handy! The tech Laura was very nice and professional… Clean location and very convenient for me

Mother’s Day weekend and we were in desperate need for some work. My usual nail shop was booked solid. Since we were in the area we had seen this nail shop and thought well lets give it a try. I did call and make an appointment for my daughter and I. We stopped a few doors down to get some yogen fruz before our appointment.
As soon as we walked in I knew we had made a mistake coming here. We both sat at our pedicure chairs, my lady barely spoke a word of English. All I heard was her talking to other clients in Spanish. The owner is Vietnamese I believe and most of the other staff are Spanish. My pedicure was just OK. At this point I was just happy to have short painted toe nails.
My daughter had a wonderful lady, she was super sweet and did a good job on her fill and pedicure. The owner took care of me and she shaped my nails great but when I asked her to trim them down a bit she said «OK but if I cut them down and she grabbed the nail cutters and OH MY she almost cut off my whole nail. I jerked my hand right out of her hand and was like a trim not my whole nail. Then because she did not have time to do pink and white fill, she wanted to paint the white tips on. I said «Um no thanks leave it as is.» I understand when you are busy but she did not have an appointment after me just walk ins and she was rushing to get to them. What difference does it make if you do more on me you obviously charge more???
My quest for finding a great nail shop anywhere in Miami is such a complete nightmare!
I am really fed up of spending a fortune getting my nails done for such bad quality. After she rushed put on my gel turned on the ultra bulb machine she literally turned it off after about 30 seconds. So my result, no shine, dull nails. Nope I was not about to leave without them fixed. The wonderful lady who was working on my daughter heard me complaining to my daughter so she re did my gel and fixed them.
This salon has some really rude people that are not friendly. Other than the lady who did my daughter’s nails, she was the only good one here. (she was a middle aged spanish lady who spoke good English, she was super sweet)
Nope another nail shop that really just flat out sux!

I have to stand up for my local nail salon!!! Although it does have its flaws, basically it’s not as professional of a setting as other places I’ve been, I always leave loving my nails. I only go for a mani & pedi once in a while. I’ve taken a variety of images of funky nail art and they’re always executed perfectly (even very complicated tribal inspired designs with up to 5 colors). My mani lasts a LONG time, which says a lot considering I’m an artist. They also have a nice selection of Essie nail polish, I never have a hard time finding a color. The ladies are also very nice and usually very excited about my nails since I like bringing in unique designs. I’ll keep going to Jade J!
My one piece of advice, don’t go very close to close time, that’s when you’ll get a bad experience.

Never come to this place! I’ve been here once — terrible. Staff is completely rude. I called them just now to ask a question. The employee was VERY rude, refused to answer my question and hung up on me twice. I hope they go out of business soon.

DONT EVER GO HERE! Staff is ignorant on colors, they dont know how to properly apply gel polish. And they charge even if ur unhappy!
I went in for a mani/​pedi and they sat me with a new lady. Not ONLY was sge about 70 which means she obviously cant see close up and didn’t even notice that my toes didnt match the polish for my hands which was GEL! So here I am with feet a different color than 2 nails she started. I asked why they looked different & the response was it would «dry darker» WTF!!!
Anyhow, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! Rude, rude, rude! Anyone that says they’re a good company has a hole in their head!
