History

Established in 1990.

For more than 40 years the name Horn has been synonymous with Podiatric medicine in the South Florida area. Dr. Merrick L. Horn is a native Floridian, and in 1990 he joined his father, Dr. Martin M. Horn, to form Advanced Podiatry Group in North Miami Beach. In 1993 they moved to their current location, and Dr. Horn has continued to provide podiatric care to the community ever since.

Dr. Horn is board certified, and re-​certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He has earned the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics, and the American Professional Wound Care Association. In addition, Dr. Horn is certified, and re-​certified as a credentialed pain practitioner by the American Academy of Pain Management. He has also been a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine for more than 15 years.

Dr. Horn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Horn was an accomplished NCAA gymnast, and was a member of the gold medal winning 1981 USA Gymnastic team competing in the World Maccabiah Games. He also served as a personal trainer specializing in lower extremity rehabilitation.
